A very nice option that came with the hotel package we booked. Unfortunately for us our two toddlers couldn't use the slides or Zipline (under 42 inch height limits)... But we still made the most of this experience. The lazy River was a huge hit for my family - Every day we visited. The water was refreshing and bathrooms were closed by. Food and drinks could be delivered to your chair ... Pretty nice touch they have here at this park. Kona Ice was a huge hit for my girls until the bees came flying by. The shuttle drivers from the hotel made us smile. We enjoyed this every day we stayed. Hopefully we get to return again. Thank you for the hospitality! Respectfully, A satisfied bonvoy member. We've been coming here for the last few years every summer and typically get a cabana for our group. Service has always been top notch but it has gone down hill here. Waited over 3 hrs for a waiter to even acknowledge we needed service. They are just kids playing on their phone completely oblivious to the world around them, as we all were at some point but when you drop $500 on a cabana you expect to at least get some type of help. We had four adults and four kids under 6, this caused us to receive an extra 20% charge for absolute nothing. This may have been why the kid didn't want to work today knowing he was already going to receive a forced tip due to the extra fee.

We booked a cabana and day passes through ResortPass.com. I personally believe that a cabana rental is the way to go when doing a pool day at a resort, because they usually take really good care of you plus extra perks, food credit ect...Not at the Gaylord Texan! The cabana rental was $350 plus taxes and fees. We got a complimentary fruit plate and a shaded structure to sit in, that's it for the price we paid! The description was inaccurate, there was no mini fridge or safe for our belongings. The service was horrible! Every single time we wanted to order something we had to go find our server, then we had to go find them again when they didn't bring our complete order. I'd understand if the place was slammed but there were literally only 2 other families in our entire section. This was also accomplished by 2 separate servers, as the first one closed us out at the end of her shift midday of our visit. Same level of service from both of them. The complimentary fruit plate sat there from the time we first arrived 1230 to almost 6pm, hot and attracting bees. The plates and cups piled high, no one taking them out of our way until after we paid our second tab. The lazy river and water park portion were very nice, we were able to enjoy ourselves despite the lack In service.

Super fun water park that is part of your stay at the Gaylord Texan. I strongly suggest you get here early to get a good spot in the shade or a location near a safe. The water is refreshing and cool. The wait staff here are all pretty awesome and easy to talk to. Keep in mind you are staying at a resort and that resort prices are in full effect. Expect to pay $8.50 for a can or draft of shiner or miller. A bucket this summer is 5 beers for $38. As for other good food, the chips and salsa are great. The chicken tenders do a great job. And if you are fortunate enough to reserve a cabana the fruit platter is banging. You can pay by credit card or charge to your room as well as pay with cash. For the pools they are all nice. The kiddie area is great for kids. They have a huge water bucket and neat tubes. I really enjoy the lazy river. I have to say it's my favorite. The other main pool is also nice to just relax and chill. It also has a zip line and a 3 story tube. Overall this is a great water park. Now it's not as big as the Great Wolf Lodge that is literally across the street, but it's not as crowded and in my opinion looks to be better maintained. So if you are staying at the Gaylord Sri g the spring or summer definitely get your pass and hang out here. Oh and if you are Bonvoy Elite (white wristbands) ask for your free chips and salsa.

Thanks to CV19, vacation was canceled. This 10 acre water park didn't disappoint. The trolly from the hotel was frequent. (Though the walk might take you 7 mins.) Grabbed our towels and reserved 6 lawn chairs under an umbrella with a cooler, the waiter filled with ice, and a safe for $20! You can somehow reserve them in advance and they are yours all day. Even if there is a rain break and you return later. The staff, minus the Kona Ice guy, was great! Way better than I expected! Both days we were promptly greeted and received our, much needed, drinks within minutes. The food was quick too! Kids hotdog was gone before I could get a pic and the chicken fingers were a hit. Go with the fries b/c their homemade chips get soggy sitting outside. The queso and chips was surprisingly good. I don't really like to stuff my face while I'm wearing my suit but that exactly what I did. White sangria carafe, Mimosa carafe and bucket of beers seem to be the way to go. (Carafs ran $18 and $30 for beer.) $300 for an atrium room that included two days of waterpark entry for 6, complimentary self park and a $50 food credit was very worth it for us! Kids 3 and under don't need a wrist band but each room comes with 6 bands.

We rented a cabana near the kids water park and it had a ceiling fan, cooler, safe, refrigerator, tv and plenty of seating. Our server Hannah was very friendly and provided great service during our stay. Lunch time does get very busy so be sure to order your food early. I ordered the Texas Sipper (with vodka, elderflower, grapefruit, and soda) and it was not weak, it was a very good drink!! We also got the burger, chips and dips, kid's grilled cheese and chicken strips, and summer wraps. I was not a fan of the flavor of the summer wraps so I sent those back. The waterpark is pretty large with a large pool with hot tubs, small zip line, a lazy river with a good current, and the kids large water playground. They had fun events going on throught the day for families.

This water park is located right by the road entrance to Gaylord. You either walk here or take a shuttle from the hotel. We were a bit nervous about taking a shuttle, but we saw the driver literally wiped down the seats everytime he dropped off guests. Similar cleaning routine is done through out the water park. We even saw the cleaning ladies wiped down the railing that separates the pools because someone had touched it, so we're very impressed with that. We intentionally stayed at Gaylord during the week to avoid big crowds. Out of the 3 pools at the water park, there were not many people at the treehouse or the lagoon. Because of the nature of the lazy river, we expected it to be more crowded & it did. We found coming early in the morning helps if you are trying to social distance. We tried scanning the QR code displayed all through the park to purchase food online, but it didn't quite work out. Looks like they're still trying to figure that out. We placed our order with the staff instead and it came out very quickly. Food was good but definitely overpriced. Kids meal comes with a rubber ducky and an apple sauce. We had a great time here and felt really safe.

Booked this hotel as a last minute trip. Didnt really have much time to research. Didnt realize that the major pool and lazy river were off property. By off property I mean less than a few minutes drive. They do have an indoor and outdoor pool available at hotel. But this feature you have to show room key and get a wrist band to be able to get on the shuttle to and from this part. It was amazing. They have Tom's of seating and tons of shade. We were there for most of the day. So it's nice that you can come and go if you get bored. They dont have a huge selection of food offerings but what they do have is sufficient. But again bot too far to get to if you decide to leave and come back. They also have coolers placed thru out some of the chairs. You cannot bring outside food and drinks but it is still a nice feature that had cup holders. They have a lazy river, pool side basket ball, nice pool with a zip line in the water and big slide. They also have a small splash zone area for babies with a gate and sitting area at main pool and a separate huge play zone for the younger kids. They did some games i n early morning hours. They also serve a refillable mug for sodas for like 20 bucks. Worth it for families who share. I want to go back and also visit the other Gaylord hotel closer to me to check out their venue.

The room we stayed in looked outdated, and we had toilet flushing issues right from the first use, which wasn't a great start. The water park itself was enjoyable, and we didn't have any issues there. I do want to give credit to the lifeguard staff... they were very attentive and clearly doing a great job keeping an eye on the kids, which we really appreciated. We ate dinner at Fireside Restaurant and had a good experience there. One tip: don't rely too much on the app waitlist as it showed limited availability, but when we checked with the host in person, we were seated right away with no wait. Breakfast at Timbers Table & Kitchen, however, was a complete letdown. I didn't expect to pay $78 for a buffet breakfast for two adults and two kids, especially when the food wasn't good. The donuts tasted like they had been refrigerated overnight and were barely edible, and even the self-toasted bagels were stale... no amount of toasting helped. If you're reading this, I highly recommend bringing your own food for at least breakfast to save money and avoid disappointment.
