We spent almost $500 for a VIP cabana for my son's birthday. It was supposed to have a waiter & come with 4 express lane passes & it didn't. We basically spent $500 to get out of the shade. There was also no garbage in our cabana & since our waiter was MIA garbage was flying around so I asked the lady about cleanup & she literally handed us a hefty garbage bag to go cleanup our own food/drink that we tipped & paid a lot of money for. This was not a VIP EXPERIENCE. Especially since the cabana doesn't include park entrance or parking. I spent almost$1,000 on this day to get to wait in lines, cleanup our own garbage & have no waiter. The drinks & food are outrageously priced too. What a disappointment this was. I will never go to this waterpark again.

We have been paying for the diamond elite membership for a over a year (signed up early 2021) at the time of course they try to sell you more things and it made sense to add the dining and platinum flash pass however we came to hurricane Harbor Arlington today 7/22/22 @ 11:00A they're telling me that I don't have membership benefits at the WATER park including - dining not honored - reservations for seating unavailable - platinum flash pass not honored - reservations for parking unavailable and not only does the advertisements (at the time) state ALL park and listed ZERO exclusions my welcome packet very clearly named hurricane harbor ARLINGTON as part of my membership parks on the last page. I was told that if they didn't have enough STAFF to OPEN the flash pass shed then I wouldn't be able to get the flash pass here. BUT wouldn't you know it. The flash pass shed is OPEN and has at least 12 teenagers STAFF members standing in having chat time and a bunch in the guest relations who are being paid to serve guest not pass them off to someone else. Not only is six glass not honoring the benefits I was GUARANTEED at the time I signed the agreement everyone is saying it's everyone else job to fix it but the people who they pass me off to says the new CEO has made the decision to make the changes and decided to take away or not honor some benefits going forward this year. However not o Lu does my agreement reflect that BUT ALSO the app VERY CLEARLY notes it under hurricane harbor ARLINGTON (can provide proof to management directly as it has private information when screen shots of membership and app are taken) However I signed up LAST YEAR so that does NOT or should I say should NOT affect the benefits promised (grandfathered in) when I originally signed up in 2021. I have not missed payments or cancelled my membership at any point since then and I have received no reduction in my payment amount when the arbitrarily adjusted benefits for memberships so they need to provide and honor the advertised benefits at the contract time to EXISTING members Let's also discuss how many of the rides constantly being shut down or limited park hours bc they don't have enough staff. I've never seen a credit for that to my payment but I'm just expected to pay the full contract price anyhow. Which I wouldn't mind if they were HONORING the rest of my agreement It would be like telling someone the rent changed in the middle of a lease that had no expiration when the owner agreed to it with the renter. Being that I HAVE to pay EVERY month if if I do NOT go bc I AGREED TO IT IN THE CONTRACT it would stand that the COMPANY would need to honor the same binding agreement I am STILL paying for.

Ask the Community - Six Flags Hurricane Harbor

How deep are the pools that the thrill rides end into?

Depends on which ride...can be 3 1/2 to 5 ft

Which is better... NRH2O or Hurricane Harbor? I've been to NRH2O and LOVE IT!! What is it like compared to Hurricane Harbor? Should I give Hurricane Harbor a try?

Hurricane harbor has more of the "adult" rides as I call them. If you have very small children, not sure how many rides they could do based on height. They do have the large wave pool and lazy river which is fun for younger ones

    Are they opened today?

    10-8 I believe

Is buying the flash pass worth it?

It all depends on the day that you go... If it is a weekend or holiday, it may be worth it.

They check your bags/cooler and scan your tickets, then let you go about your day. My friend and I split the cost of a shaded Splash Picnic spot just to make sure our older kiddos had a landing base to re-up on snacks and drinks. Our name was printed on the reserved spot making it officially ours! It is SUPER cool they allowed our own cooler with ice packs, although it would've been a tiny bit more amazing to sip on a girlie marg. I sent my friend on a scavenger hunt to see if they sell any type of alcohol of any kind and turned up empty, just as a heads up to others who may wonder too. While I mostly stayed in the toddler swimming hole and kiddie water slides, and shuffled over to try out the wave pool, my oldest told me about the Lazy River on the other side. She also told me about her "losing her soul" on the dropout slide ha! She had fun, but it took her breath away for sure. Bathrooms are air conditioned. Parking was ample, shade was more plentiful than Hawaiian Falls, and you can reserve seats online if you don't want to risk not having a spot. Overall, a fun family-friendly space to have a good time outdoors!

NRH2O isn't nearly as big as Hurricane Harbor, but I prefer it for several reasons. For one, there are quite a few trees and grassy areas all throughout the park, providing shade and cooler grounds and all around cooler, happier vibes. Plus, tickets and passes are more affordable, and perhaps most importantly (especially to anyone with special dietary needs): you're allowed to bring in your own food and drink. Of course there are limitations on ice chest size and you can't bring in glass containers or alcohol, but it's so nice to be able to pack your own snacks and drinks. Not in loose ice, though, that's another rule. Your ice has to be bagged up (we just use ice-packs). Employees check through your bags very thoroughly at the entrance. I haven't been on any of the bigger slides in years, I now stick to the kiddie-spaces or the lazy river. I was in the wave pool recently with my niece and didn't have as much fun as I remember having when I was younger, haha. The park overall is pretty clean and well-maintained. Nothing looks like it desperately needs refurbished or sanitized! There are I believe 3 different "restaurants" onsite and then a handful of drink and dessert stands. You can find aaaall of your theme park favorites: hot dogs, corn dogs, burgers, chicken tenders, fries, nachos, quesadillas, pizza, pretzels, cotton candy, chips, kettle corn, etc. There's also frozen lemonade, dippin' dots ice cream, and a churro food truck onsite! You'll have a great time at NRH2O if it's not ridiculously crowded and you're able to find yourself a little home-base with shade. You can reserve canopies and tables online, but they go fast!

So when I have seen commercials, I will admit that I thought that the lazy river was bigger and I thought there were more rides. The night I went, not all the rides were opened, I don't know if that's because it was a grown party or if they didn't have enough lifeguards. Regardless though, I had a great time, I hang out with my friends for about 2 hours. There was one point, where there was a big group between the wave runner and the lazy river that were having a dance party and doing line dances. The rises are great, the staff is well trained and super sweet, and the side activities or entertainment they get occasionally is always a great addition. The crowding really does take away from the experience though.

Not the energy someone wants to encounter after waiting almost an hour for Fast Lanes. On the same ride, they made everyone move down 2 rows to let a family that wasn't waiting in line pick where they wanted to sit. We were bummed out because we did not want to be in the back and got moved to the back without warning. I do believe this letting families jump the line and pick where they sit is not okay especially for the people who paid extra for fast lanes. After getting bumped to the back row we were disappointed because we'd been in the back row for every ride we had been on and that was our final ride of the day. Also, if you plan to use the app to navigate your day, be cautious of the wait times. Each ride had a different wait time than what we saw in the app, and we ended up waiting even longer than what the app said.

My biggest issue is the Flash Pass. I usually buy the 90% reduced wait time option and it's insanely expensive, but somehow I still end up waiting in long lines even with it, which defeats the whole point. That said, this place isn't all bad, and it's not a 1 star for a reason. The park feels more sanitary now and you can tell they're making improvements to try to make it better. One warning: do not get FanShield, they won't give you your money back. Also, I wouldn't recommend ordering tickets online, do it in person just in case.
