The park is cool, the rides are great. But, if you are ever trying to cancel your membership your are going to work for it. I have been trying to cancel this membership for some time, even called my bank to stop payments. But they kept getting their money. They were even using an expired card to do so. You have to have the order number. I finally went to my email and pulled all up from six flags and found the order number, get signed in then go to the 3 lines at top, click membership then you can cancel. They hide it. I always struggle reviewing businesses and separating the people working (who were great), from the rides (which were sparse) and the location (which was abysmal since it could take over 2 hours to leave the parking lot). So with that said I'd like to level set what you should expect. The park is clean, reasonably priced, and has about 4 rides you'll write home about. The park is mainly limited by space since it's in the greater Dallas area. It was fun and you'll make memories. But it's best to take this park for what it is and not compare it to other parks. This company sucks. Bought tickets online and it had me save them to my Apple wallet. After paying $42 for parking we entered the park hassle free, we were not given any physical indication that we were fast pass which is odd. This park relies on technology to work which blows my mind when it comes to customer service. Well 3hrs into the park, rides were closed or not working. Finally got to a ride that was and sure enough the digital pass doesn't want to work since apparently it has to be scanned at every ride. God forbid someone take the fast lane that shouldn't be there. Although my tickets said fast pass, the date and order number, we were told we need to exit the ride and go to customer service. Customer service if you can even call it that is also useless. I was told by 2 different workers that they "unfortunately don't do refunds" oh you bet your ass you're going to give me a refund. I did not pay $350 for nothing. I continued to ask for rank up until I was talking with the regional manager that finally said she'd get me a refund. But not for parking. I asked for a card to contact corporate. Who never responded until I made a Google review. Finally they tell me no refund for parking. Although they were at fault. Nothing to sweeten the deal. I don't care about the money as much as principle. I worked in customer service for 10 years hell even as a construction project manager I'm still in customer service. This right here is not service. This park absolutely sucks. Don't waste your money or time, they don't respect yours. So disappointing. I was really looking forward to this too. Typical business profit over people. Park was great, pricing was okay. One employee on the Titan was not though. Told my sister and I "Can you guys just go home?" when the line was long for fast lane. Also most rides only had one cart going at a time, so even spending extra money on Fast Lanes was iffy because the waits were still long. The same employee was dropping her measuring stick every 2 minutes, handing off her employee phone and stick to a guest waiting to get on the ride to put on her jacket, leaning over the wooden part and telling everyone she was tired and just wanted to go home. Not the energy someone wants to encounter after waiting almost an hour for Fast Lanes. On the same ride, they made everyone move down 2 rows to let a family that wasn't waiting in line pick where they wanted to sit. We were bummed out because we did not want to be in the back and got moved to the back without warning. I do believe this letting families jump the line and pick where they sit is not okay especially for the people who paid extra for fast lanes. After getting bumped to the back row we were disappointed because we'd been in the back row for every ride we had been on and that was our final ride of the day. Also, if you plan to use the app to navigate your day, be cautious of the wait times. First of all, I absolutely love this park. The people here actually love their jobs. But this review is specifically for a young woman named Tejah (I think that's how you spell it) who works at Dusty Dan's (an icee shop) inside of six flags. She is a very sweet young lady who truly loves people. There are certain people on earth who just bring joy to people whenever they are around, and she is that type of person. A person like this can change the trajectory of another person's day so quickly, and I am thankful to have met her while ordering icees for my young sons today. Holiday in the Park with the Family. The kids had a great time riding the rides and running us old folks in the ground. It's been years since we've been and obliviously the outrageous prices on concessions is why you pack a bag. They do refill you water bottles and all day drink containers for 19.95 helps keep you hydrated. If you intent on riding alot of rides then the flash pass is worth the price, otherwise your stand in line while those that opted for the pass walk right by you. Only giving two stars because they provide a nice discount for military/veterans tickets. Went on a Tuesday and wasn't that busy which was nice. Multiple rides not working. The newest coaster had a mechanical issue while people were on it. One ride we had to evacuate because of some emergency. Parking price is expensive as well. The $20 for unlimited drinks every fifteen minutes is a good deal I think. They do provide free water cups if you ask. First time going here and it will be my last time. read more

I've been going to Six Flags for over 15 years, and it's always been a mixed bag. On paper it doesn't make sense to wait 3 hours for a 2 minute ride, but sometimes it's still worth it because the rides are genuinely fun and you still get that adrenaline rush. The staff is hit or miss too. A lot of the time it looks like they don't want to be there, but then you'll run into some employees who are actually really nice and helpful. My biggest issue is the Flash Pass. I usually buy the 90% reduced wait time option and it's insanely expensive, but somehow I still end up waiting in long lines even with it, which defeats the whole point. That said, this place isn't all bad, and it's not a 1 star for a reason. The park feels more sanitary now and you can tell they're making improvements to try to make it better. One warning: do not get FanShield, they won't give you your money back. Also, I wouldn't recommend ordering tickets online, do it in person just in case. read more

Cannot imagine paying to enter. Honestly probably would not come without a pass. They are getting better. But it's still pretty rough. SO MANY RIDES down when we went the first Saturday of May. Park was packed, and they just didn't have rides running to full capacity to force long lines. Most workers just don't care and go about their business like robots. Food is rough, just frozen processed junk food. We have passes and will go in mornings or late to avoid long lines and can have enjoyable time. Way too many things not working. Single train on New Texas Giant (we knew this but still...). An hour and 45 min for Mr Freeze with no information on what was happening. They would load a train, the line would move forward by one train load, then not move for 20-30 minutes. Tormenta down for hours. I've been to plenty of parks and I'm used to waits (Cedar Point is my home park) but this is really bad. They should be embarrassed to be operating a park under such poor conditions. I'm thankful that I paid nothing more for this day as it's included in my Cedar Point season pass. Anybody who actually paid to be here today should be really mad. Truly a mess. I am now giving this more of a 4 star review as I am liking what I am seeing on the changes that are going on with the park since the new management took over. Beware with many of the changes causes many of the closures for now that will open either next year or in the summer. Here are the areas that are closed and changes I am seeing 1. Mexico section where the Loop is located, Ship ride and La Vibora is located. They are building a new roller coaster. The chicken sandwich place is closed as well, but I am looking forward to the upgrades 2. JB BBQ - my go to place to hide in the shade, but this is in renovation stage 3. Front Entrance/Guest services - I am not so sure what they are doing here 4. Titan is still doing the repaint, but almost done. Ride is open on the weekends, but I am sure it will be fully painted in the summer Hopefully they will do renovations in the DC area. I know this place is popular, but The food is still of the same quality, but I am sure it will be better in the future since I am seeing the renovations. I think they are trying to get rid of the food from their supplies or maybe they have contracts. Near the front of the Mexico plaza they are serving Tortas, but they Service This is a hit or miss on this one. Some people are kind and some are like meh I do not want to be at the job attitude. I am surprised that most of the rides are open especially when the weather was below 50 degree. However, be warned that if there is not enough crowds they will close early as they did last week. They were suppose to close at 8pm, but they close at 6pm. Food lines, there is no comparison yet as it was not crowded. It was mainly in and out or maybe they were efficient. Flash Pass, getting it is a pain as everything I log in, I have copy and pass my pass as that is a perk I get with the all season passport. Bf and I got a season pass to 6 flags recently! Already gone twice and both times we enjoyed it!!! Lots of rides to go on, tons of fun activities to do. We even brought another couple with us since we were allowed to bring a friend each with the gold pass. I think coming on a Friday after work is the way to do it cause Saturday is crazy busy and the wait times are insane. Our first time we came on a Friday at 6.30 and we got to ride like 11 rides in total! The 2nd time we came on a Saturday at 3 and only got 5 rides till the park close. Wait times are insane! Fright fest started both times we were there and it was really cool! Love how all the actors are so committed to their characters and the effects make things just more spooky! If you have the gold season pass get their all season drink tumbler! Tip: With the season pass, You'll have 10% off all merchandise and including food and drinks (so make sure you remember to show you have the pass at every kiosk). Parking is included as well. Group fun on a Friday. Ended up raining..lots of rain.... We got in about 4 rides before the rain, got lunch and hung out under the Pavillion until it stopped. 3 major rides were still open in the rain, so we jumped in line. Lots of school kids but lines were not too bad. We got a little over 20,000 steps in. They do have lots of benches everywhere to rest, or wait for someone. Superman shut down twice...mostly rain and lightning reasons. Glad they are thinking of safety for guests. The winner of the day was not a ride, but the amazing enormous funnel cake. Yes, I'm a foodie, and it was soooo good! Make sure you eat it after you get on rides so your not sharing with others when you go upside down! Even in the rain it was a nice time. I was more than frustrated with our visit yesterday. We arrived at 1 PM and iby 6 PM (5 hours) we had only managed to get on 3 rides. The park is severely understaffed, meaning the few rides that are actually open have massive wait times because there aren't enough employees to run them efficiently. To make matters worse, many of the major attractions are completely shut down. The Texas SkyScreamer, The Joker, Mr. Freeze and several others were all closed. To top it all off, the park's infrastructure is a joke. Two different vending machines charged me $5 each for drinks and completely failed to dispense them, so I was literally robbed of $10 just trying to stay hydrated. Visitors to this beautiful state please understand you'll pay a premium price to come here and you get absolutely nothing for it. This has been the worst experience and a complete waste of time and money. Save your cash and go somewhere else. Dallas has wealth of great things to do - this just happens NOT to be one them. Now that I have kids, we frequent Six Flags a lot more than I have in previous years. We ended up purchasing season passes because it ends up paying for itself in 1-2 visits, and my kids are at the age where they are enjoying theme parks now. It also comes with free parking during every visit! We will usually purchase the meal pass for $50 so we can get unlimited meals/snacks every 90 minutes for the day, which is a steal compared to paying $15-20 per meal here. I've been recently when it was PACKED, and you can't get much done even if you spend the entire day here. Awesome visit!! Lots has improved in this park in recent years, I can't recommend this park enough for fun for yourself or with friends and family. The park looks ALOT better than it used to, renovations have made a large impact on the atmosphere, but still could be done in some small areas of the park. New paint jobs on rides like Titan look amazing and Tormenta seems to be a much needed addition. My only complaint is this parks immense allergy to running 2 trains on their rides. They have it available on most coasters, but they only do it on titan. The lines aren't necessarily bad but rides like Texas Giant and Mr Freeze could massively benefit. (That's one thing Fiesta Texas does a billion times better). Although overpriced, the snacks I purchased were genuinely amazing. (Recommend the pineapple float near shock wave). Great improvement, I'm convinced staffing and training is the only thing holding this park back from 5 stars. read more

Great amusement park and yes it is pricey from the food to the drinks, tickets and parking (but they have to make money somehow to keep up the park) and the rides definitely dont disappoint and there are so many diffrent choices yes the lines are long (understandably because so many people want to enjoy them) but there are flash passes you can get to speed up in a shorter line. There is diffrent choices of food but not many places to sit but there is alot of trees so there is alot of shade. The Holiday at the Park is a great time every year and the lights are beautiful as well as the displays all over the park. There are smore stations and little activities that kids can do. The preferred parking is worth the price because your closer to the front entrance then general parking and dont have to walk as far. The bathrooms are as clean as they can stay but you always see the cleaning crews throughout the park all the time to keep the grounds clean as they can. The information booths are very helpful if you have any questions or need a map. The gift shops are all over the park and have so many diffrent choices of things to buy. Its a great time when coming to this amusement park and cant wait to come back. read more

Currently in the park. What a complete fallacy. Two people. $140 for regular entry. $49 parking. 130 for "fast pass". Another $115 for the "UPGRADED" fast pass. Half of the "thrill" rides are closed, or when you actually sit in the LINE for the FAST PASS (lol, pay a toll to wait in another line) the rides happen to get shut down for maintenance. The online browser shows rides OPEN and AVAILABLE just to either have CLOSED signs or better yet, after you "queue" using your $240 fast pass... there IS NO FAST PASS LANE! Unscrupulous business practices. I have been a local resident and visited handfuls of times and I can genuinely say this will be my last. Oh, another thing noticed. There's a reason why the standard LINE WAIT is so high... as opposed to using all lanes they purposely THROTTLE to using the minimum. For example, the Superman claims a 3 hour wait yet, the line is under half full. You know why? They CHOOSE to only use ONE of the THREE towers available. Pretty good ploy to entice people to buy a fast pass (I fell for it). Been in the park for 4 hours, after buying a $240 "upgraded pass" and I've only rode ONE. SINGLE. RIDE. I have been coming to Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington since I was a young child and just love this amusement park and all the roller coaster rides. I had not been here for a while and any time I come back I feel like I am reliving my childhood. They no longer have "the pink thing" or the curly straws or cliffhanger ride, but there are still some good originals here. I wanted to ride the Titan; but it opens about an hour after the park opens so I started off riding The Texas Giant; this is a great hybrid wood and metal roller coaster and a very enjoyable ride that I think it worth the wait. I then moved to ride The Titan which is my favorite extreme ride with 85 Mph and a steep drop. There is somewhat of a bottleneck at the locker area. At first I was being asked to leave my personal items in a locker with a ticket, but eventually I could take my items to the ride and leave them on the platform in cubbies. I ultimately rode the Titan 20 times. I rode The Shock Wave 4 times and it is the original 2 loop metal coaster that is always fun. Also rode The Superman, The Joker, The Freeze and The Batman coasters but these are on the shorter side of ride duration time and tend to have longer waits. The Texas Sky Screamer was a lot of fun and provides great views of the park. Food is quite expensive here with a water bottle costing $5.60 and expect to be out of pocket $20-$25 dollars for a meal. There were some better food options that I remember including BBQ, Asian and some brand name places like Johnny Rockets, Auntie Anne's and Starbucks. It was a very hot day, but most lines are shaded and covered. The lines were not too bad on a Friday and I appreciate that you can move to an empty seat on a coaster and not have to rejoin the line again. I took advantage of the hours 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Some rides were not operational like The Judge Roy Scream, but overall I had a fun and enjoyable visit and got my coaster fix! read more

We waited for hours and hours, not because the rides were long, but because the staff was so incredibly non chalant, and would take actual dozens of minutes just to get people into the ride carts. Not only that, but EVERY SINGLE RIDE WAS CLOSED, there were only like 9 rides open, and 3 of them kept closing in and out, they are building this brand new shiny coaster, but can't keep their assets that exist in check, such terrible management I will never visit this establishment ever again, I would rather go to Fiesta Texas 1 million times over because this was a waste of my weekend to drive and try it out, and it sucks because it could have been good, there's just such bad staff and management, that the whole park is in ruin. First time at this Six Flags and well, lots of traffic getting in. We got the burger & fries at Johnny Rockets, which I didn't take a picture of because I was really hungry, but it was pretty good. The service was quick there and we got our food right away. We then got the funnel cake and it was nostalgic for me when I used to eat it as a kid. We then got the chili dog at the Texas Sized Hot Dog stand and it was ok. Very salty, but the fries were good. I think they needed another cook in the back instead of just one, since we stood in line for an hour with only two couples in front of us to order. Crazy!!! I went here with my friends and family including my infant son. For a place that prides themselves on being family friendly, they had nowhere sanitary for me to change my infant but the ground behind a coke machine. The changing table inside the women's restroom was broken and the men's was closed. WHO knows if they even had a changing table in there. There are no family restrooms in the entire park so I was left with changing my son in the ground at a theme park. It was 90° when we went and during fright fest. This place definitely needs more water mist stations and shade. There are not a lot of places to sit down cool down and relax for a second instead of running through the park constantly. We're waiting in line. There's not a lot of fans anymore to cool you off when temperatures get high in Texas. We went on the Saturday so lines got pretty long once the afternoon hit. So you have to truly debate on went to home. We realized that the fright fest cost between $45-$90 extra to participate in the activities and festivities that I always assume we're included with your ticket purchase. They also do not do fright, fest events, and activities in the daytime really at all. They started about 7:30 at night. This is extremely unfortunate for those who want to go early or have kids that are interested in scary atmosphere. For the price they should not have four-six dollar bottle of waters. Ensure there's someone constantly cleaning bathrooms and reloading tissue. Actually clean the park. We got there a little bit after they were open and the lines that you stand in to get to the Rye or absolutely dirty on the floor and on the bars, which probably contain an extreme amount of germs. We went to Six Flags in Arlington Texas over the weekend, the park itself was good, but we encountered an extremely rude person. What happened was when we were watching a magic show, there was a lady stand up in front of us taking videos, we were nice enough to wait until she finished recording, then asked her politely to please sit back down, because she's blocking everybody but she didn't listen, an employee was then asked to tell her and she didn't listen either. Took family to Six Flags this week for spring break. Really glad we paid full price to experience what I can only assume was a bold new "minimalist theme park" concept. To be fair, it was cold and windy. And sure, physics, safety laws, and insurance companies are famously anti-fun. So yes--many rides were closed. By "many," I mean most. By "most," I mean it felt like the park itself was more of a suggestion than an operating business. But don't worry--some rides were open. For example, the Aquaman ride, which thoughtfully ensures you get completely soaked on a cold, windy day. Nice to see at least one attraction fully committed to the theme of suffering. We did find one working ride and got in line. That's when it broke. Not metaphorically--mechanically. A hose popped off, flew into view, and started loudly hissing like the park itself was trying to warn us. No injuries, but based on the part we later saw on the ground, it seemed... important. Possibly related to stopping. Other highlights: Indoor rides: closed (apparently also vulnerable to "wind") Restaurants: mostly closed (great opportunity to explore fasting) Shows: all canceled except a bubble show, which bravely carried the entire entertainment division Characters: none. Not a single Bugs Bunny or Batman in sight. Even fictional employees called in sick. And this is spring break week, when no one could have possibly predicted an influx of visitors during daytime hours. To be clear, the staff who were there seemed to be doing their best. No sarcasm there--they were stuck managing a situation they didn't create. The park was clean, but had that special "we're technically open" energy. We weren't alone in our confusion. There was a full line of people at guest services, and to their credit, Six Flags refunded tickets. So in the end, we got a free tour of a mostly closed amusement park and a live demonstration of mechanical failure. All in all: if you've ever wanted to stand in the wind, look at closed attractions, and reflect on your life choices, Six Flags is ready for you. read more

This was a huge disappointment. We went on 3-12 and 3-13 for spring break with our teens. Over two days, we rode three rides. They are knowingly understaffed and undertrained and yet still open the park. It should not have been open if they couldn't staff it. 75% of the rides were not running. It is misleading and unfair to those who have traveled, spent money, and spent valuable spring break family time to come here. Cedar fair is going to run six flags into bankruptcy. People will not return when treated this way. We will not be back. read more

Well worth the money for the express pass for the rides. Sucks some of the rides were closed. Out of 6 haunted houses 4 were good and 2 were boring with not much going on. Overall, it was good and had fun read more
