Always loved going on the train growing up so this was an opportunity to bring my own kids now to do it. It's $5 for adults and $4 for kids over one. Its also CASH only. The 40min ride takes you around trinity park and along the river. The train itself could use some updating as the seats look like they are falling apart.

This is so fun to take kiddos to. It's about 45 minutes long which is great. First train runs at 11am and then every hour after that last train runs at 5pm. Cash only!!!!! You can board the train at the zoo location or at the park location but you can only purchase tickets at zoo location. Ages 1-12 is $3.50 adults $4.

Waiting for the train to arrive!

My son enjoyed the train ride. They are nice enough to stop for someone that is walking in the park. We had a blast. Fun little train

Like the idea... Not a lot to see. But the train was neat... And the heat was not. :) Bring your own cold drink and sunscreen.

That visit we had an off putting initial exchange with the guy doing check in; who told my kid to throw away their plastic water bottle. I offered to put it in my bag cause they needed it for some medications theg were taking at the time but the only options was leave it at the bar, toss it, or take it to the car and get a free water from the food station. I get not wanting spills but both the cider cups and water cups offer no lids and my kids water had a lid and could go in a bag. I think we caught this guy on a bad day because we have not had that issue again. Though we learned our lesson and if we had a water we stuck it in my bag. At another locations they explained they are actually fine with water bottles ... They ask just don't be obvious about it...just don't want people bringing in things like starbucks drinks or sonic drinks that take away from their drink sales or could be sneaking in something that could cost them their serving license. Which I 100% get! Food wise; the pizza here is pretty solid! Of the cidercades I go to I think this is the one I would most likely get food at. (Arlington being number two but that's because they have to many other good places walking distance!!) Every other time we've come to this one; which

2026 - Review #14…read more Booked a field trip here and my students had a blast. I worked with Kimmet to organize the whole thing and she was kind and attentive during the entire process. She answered all my questions and made the booking process seem less. Minus 1 star for our ticket mix up. We booked the all access package and by the time it was sorted out the All Access attraction (Tree Top) had a long line and wait. Also minus 1 star for the staff help, there was one lady at the front with red hair who seemed to have an attitude every time I came to ask a question. With 90 students and over 20 adults quite a bit of questions arose and some things were unclear. It would be helpful to assign a staff member to each field trip group to limit having to speak to multiple staff. Lastly, be mindful of the tunnels. They are fun however, we had middle school students present during our visit and they were making out in the tunnels. Better lighting could help fix this with a reminder to chaperones and parents to keep an eye on their children. He ran into a concrete wall at full speed and almost hurt himself because it was so dark. He also got injured while in the plane and his friend also got injured on the slide. I have included a picture. There was also a man who made him extremely uncomfortable who works there and who was wearing black lipstick. Tattoos everywhere and just not professional. Additionally, my son and his two friends went to get snacks and one of the items his friend was buying was .12 cents short. The worker gave him no grace and wouldn't let him have it. I mean, I get it was a little short, but seriously? He was buying it for his friend who needed a drink too. You guys lost an opportunity as a business to go above and beyond -- especially for an eleven year old! My son had a fun time, but I'm not sure if I'd take him back. I think his friends made the experience TBH. Y'all need to hire better and fix those safety issues. Someone will sue. UPDATE: They went through the motions of responding publicly, but once contacted through email completely stonewalled me and never responded. Will never give them another dime and neither should you.
