They make frequent announcements on safety issues. Life guards here take their job very seriously, they will enforce safety regulations, which I like. Plenty of tables & chairs under shadowing trees. There are grills available around sitting areas as well. You can also bring extra chairs & canopies. Parking is regulated by circulating security guards, which keeps the cars well organized. Son & hubby loves the new big slides. They moved things along very well & made sure coordinated timing of riders at a time. We did miss the giant black floaties that they rented out for $2-3 per hour, $5 for 2 hours, which they didn't have anymore. It can get pricey for a big group/family at $20 pp, but it's worth the diving boards & trapeze for a summer treat!

Parking was easy (around $6) and all of the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly! The park is pretty small, but easy to navigate and pretty clean. There's about 5 rides, a playground, and a splash zone. We did all the rides and some time in the playground, which took around 2ish hours. They also do free shows with Peppa that were fun and covered from the heat! I took one star off due to the price. The ticket was expensive ($30ish) for such a small park and the food/drinks were expensive too. Luckily, you can bring your own food and drinks, which is what we did!

The cafe was nice, slice of pizza were decent enough for theme park food. Because we had a little one with their mom we met up with and my 11 y/o tow my 11 year old was over it after the two rides my kid rode with my friends little one, which was walk on, and the couple mins it took us to walk around. So we ended up saying bye to my friend after only 20-30 minutes while she stayed to let her kid burn energy at the splash pad. Luckily we had a pass that took care of our tickets other wise I would have made my kid stay longer to be buddy to my friends little one. We hit it with perfect timing right when the zoo opened at 10 am so most animals were active right after their morning feedings. It is not quite as random as at smaller zoos where you might stumble across a team member willing to share their passion about one of the animals. There is some ongoing construction so you have to double back on the route. The food they had was very good and affordable for a large tourist attraction. Would definitely return!

It was a bit crowded the day we visited, but the zoo still felt spacious and comfortable to walk through. I would describe it as medium-sized, but very well laid out with plenty to see. Overall, this was one of our favorite zoo experiences. It surpassed both the San Antonio Zoo and the Austin Zoo for us simply because of the number and variety of animals. The weather was beautiful, the atmosphere was fun, and the entire visit was enjoyable from start to finish. We will definitely be coming back.

The rides here were invented and built by real rodeo cowboys. The men who actually rode the bucking broncos and bulls. They have taken their experiences and now you can have a taste of what it's like, but in safety. You can take a quick ride and call it a day, or if you want to take lessons in a safe environment before you take on the real deal, they can do that for you too. The men here were awesome, true Southern Gentlemen and a joy to meet. My ride on the mechanical bull lasted only 40 seconds or so (my choice), but it was a wild wild ride. You forget you are on a machine the way it bucks and moves. Unlike most mechanical bulls, this one is on wheels and is controlled by remote control. The bull rolls around the area as it bucks and kicks, giving you a very realistic taste of the cowboy (girl) life. You are safely seat belted in and the gentleman at the controls will never let you fall. If bucking and kicking are too much for you, don't worry there are other rides to take advantage of. There's even a giant fish you can ride. Definitely worth stopping in here!!

It feels like the company is more focused on keeping customers locked into contracts than providing good service. I won't be renewing and would not recommend the membership to others.

We weren't allowed to go down the kid slides with our toddler (even the one that is wide enough for four people is one person at a time, even tiny kids). The lifeguard assured me that he would catch my son at the bottom and then hold him until I could get him. Well, my son started down the slide and got stuck. The lifeguards wouldn't let my husband slide down to him to unstick him, but instead insisted on walking down themselves. One lifeguard got him going, but then he got stuck again. The lifeguard from the bottom walked up, put my son on his lap, and rode down with him. How this was any more effective than allowing my husband to either A. ride with him in the first place or B. slide down and ride with him when he got stuck (just like the lifeguard did) is beyond me. Also, there was a ton of flirting and horseplay from the lifeguards. They were not professional. And the music being broadcasted is from a lifeguard's iPod and little speaker set. They frequently change a song halfway through or skip songs. The concession stand prices and food are decent, but expect microwaved hot dogs/corn dogs. Overall this is an okay place to go for the price, but I much prefer Chisholm Park and will go there from now on.

It wasn't too crowded when I came and my kids had lots of fun on the rides and another funny ride attendants name was seven! Didn't get the last name letter but it's an interesting name so I remembered. Wrote this review to make sure these fun kids were noticed for how friendly they made the place! Wish I could remember more of these teens names!

Fun little open-air train that starts near the Fort Worth zoo and follows a 40 minute out and back…read moreroute along the trinity river and Trinity Park. Beautiful views and a pleasant ride, if you're willing to sacrifice a bit of comfort. My 6'1" husband's legs barely fit in the train and my butt was numb by the end, but it was a small price to pay for the joy of the ride. My kids thought it was the most fun thing they'd done in a while, and we do lots of fun things. Whether or not you consider this to be an expensive activity probably depends on how many kids you have. I read a few reviews that thought this was cheap fun, but we paid $37 for our family of 7. Ouch! FYI the current prices (as of Feb 2020 anyway) are $5 per kid and $6 per adults. CASH ONLY. FYI: I think there used to be two pick up stations but the day we went the train was only picking up from the zoo station. The train left every hour on the hour, with the last departure at 4pm. The train was definitely full to capacity, so I would advise arriving 15 min before departure so you can be there when the previous train arrives and snag your seats together.

They can close up if it gets too hot (100 degrees or more, or super cold/bad weather) you can call of you are unsure. Their website also provides the times/days they are open, seems to change every season. Even on hot days when the train is moving you usually get a nice breeze, you go over bridges and can count turtles in the eater, under bridges, through parks and wave at the people and bicyclists. It stops about halfway through and you can grab a drink, snacks or ice cream, they only stop for about 5 minutes though. DO NOT hold up the train, a lady was halfway in a train car waiting for the rest of her family and got yelled at in front of everyone by the conductor. They have a schedule to keep, be considerate!
