This was a standard Chinese buffet. Yes, it's quantity over quality as is the case with most places like this BUT it honestly wasn't half bad! I came in on a Sunday afternoon (around 2pm) and I believe they do dinner all day on Sundays. I was surprised it came out to a little over $13 for the dinner, with drinks. It usually comes out to around $18 at other places for a dinner price, so I guess the price might justify it a little bit. I was, however, shocked that they didn't have any orange chicken while I was there. What?! haha. Oh well, whatever. There were enough options to get different stuff both times I got up to get more food. There was a bunch of seafood, but no crab legs that I saw. Oysters, calamari, as well as chinese spare ribs, chow mein, general tso's chicken... just whatever you expect there to be at Chinese places. The fries here were pretty good! I can't believe I still remember them after leaving. Awesome with the sweet and sour sauce haha. Sushi was very limited, I think there were two rolls out... which is probably for the best anyway. The men's bathroom wasn't the cleanest, and it's been hardcore graffiti'd on. How do people have time to stand in there and draw something with spray paint so big?? Why would you do it here?? Unfortunately, this wasn't a great experience. The food was way over-seasoned and far too salty. It was so salty that I ended up needing to take my blood pressure medication afterward. We spent over $20, and honestly, it just wasn't worth it. The salad bar was disappointing. My friend didn't even make a salad because there was barely anything available besides lettuce and a little ranch dressing. The service was just okay, and the atmosphere felt a bit uncomfortable. It was good. I'm not a huge buffet fan. The tiny cups for drinks sort of turned me off. I was a bit confused at tip time since they don't refill the tiny cup-like 8 ounces & is a buffet. Despite the mixed reviews, never had a bad experience here. I appreciate that they charge per person 'up front' instead of trying to process tickets/credit cards/whatever later. Dingy - yes. Ugly wood paneling - yes. Appearance of being unkempt, yes. slow to clear used plates, yes. However, in my experience, the stir frys are all fresh and tasty (vegetables like broccolli bright/green/crunchy, good sauces), the appetizer bar yummy and kept up, great hot/sour soup. potstickers, shu mai, BBQ pork sticks, deep fried shrimp, salt/pepper ocotpus, and my fav, deep fried chicken wings. Steamed clams, yummy, and deep fried tilapia. Honey shrimp. Authentic dry-fried green beans (love these). Self serve ice cream bar. My wife always gets the sushi (yes, sushi) and hasnt had an issue (even I'm not that brave). The thing I dont like is that, while snow crab is featured here, they are slow to refill this, and some pigs will lurk there and hoard far more than their share or even all of it. If they are going to be stingy with the crab, then make that dish something that is presented at the table by request. I did get some this trip, and it was GREAT. I can hardly wait to visit this place when we go to tri-cities. However, because it is scary looking, I DO NOT recommend to friends. 1. Let me say this food safety is a concern of mine, I've had food poisoning and really don't care to ever get it again. I say this because this place leaves their tartar sauce out next to the hot buffet line when it should be in an ice bath to stay cold, tartar sauce has eggs in it because its made out of mayo and relish I find that really gross especially when this tartar sauce was a crusty yellow on top. 2. They refill that hot sauce bottles that are on the tables, but don't put their caps back on, so anyone can sneeze/cough and put mucus all over the open parts of the bottle and spread germs/sickness this place know nothing for food safety. As for the food it was like any other china buffet, it was a so so meal nothing really popped out for me, I liked the chicken wings the best but I am a chicken wing fanatic so anytime I find chicken wings made properly they are the best for me. Clearing of the table was slow, the hostess was to busy sitting at a different table playing with her cell phone, when she could have been doing her job. The buffet was $8.50 a person that's including the tax, so it is affordable just don't eat the tartar sauce that sits next to steaming hot food, or the open containers of hot sauce on the tables the tops of the hot sauce bottle are severely crusty looking which is very icky. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. The orange chicken had a texture of rubber. Could not cut through the chicken with a fork, and when I did it just bounced back. The noodles tasted of frying oil. Nothing seemed fresh and $20 for frozen food that tastes absolutely disgusting seems very steep. The dishes had chunks of other customers food on it. The entire place smells like rotten fish. Unless you want to feel like vomiting after consumption of this embarrassment of an establishment, I would NOT recommend. read more

I usually like coming here... the food was still (mostly) good tonight... but the employees really effed up my experience. When paying upon arrival, we were told we had until 9:30 (plenty of time)... but some jack@$$ from the kitchen came out at 8:45 and tried to tell me "5 minutes". Then, the same guy proceeded to stare at me while I was eating. I caught 2 other employees constantly looking at us, impatient for us to leave. A kid was screaming & crying very loud for about 15 minutes behind me, then another started puking. food was soggy when it was supposed to be crunchy, called when it was supposed to be warm. My family and I went here for the first time in years, and it was the most disappointing restaurant experience we had had in a long time. First of all, the staff just stood around and did nothing. They didn't clear our dishes until the table was almost filled to capacity, they didn't acknowledge us when we walked in and they didn't acknowledge us when we left. I always enjoyed the crab when I came here, but I missed out tonight. I asked three separate servers if they had crab in the back and when it would be out. They each told me twenty minutes. They clearly had no intention of bringing any out, nor did they care. When we left, we complained to the cashier up front. He said to call somebody, which was code for him blowing us off. We told him about the crab situation and he said it was put out every half hour. Well, we were there for almost an hour and there was no sign of any crab anywhere. As far as Chinese food buffets go, this one is just fine. First pass get a little bit of everything you think looks good, then the second trip get real servings of your favorites. Steamed dim-sum dumplings: good, like little meatballs, but did not like the regular pot sticker type dumplings Broccoli beef: the broccoli was not mushy, the beef was - but I really just eat it for the broccoli Pork Fried Rice: This is actually better than any other restaurant in town I have had including Panda Express. It actually has a lot of pork and vegetables in it. Chicken on a stick: I like these, which are basically a little thigh meat on a skewer overcooked a bit Seafood: I am not a fan of the taste or smell, but they seemed to have a good selection, even at lunch. In the past I remember they had large crab legs for dinner, which I also do not eat. Desserts: these all appeared to be Hispanic confections. There is also some fruit on a buffet island. Salad: I did not get a salad, but there is a small selection of stuff and none of it looked "old". Appearance: pretty much the wear and tear and smells of a well used Chinese buffet It was about $9 each for lunch including a drink, paid in advance upon entering. We left a buck each for the plate clearing service. I would say pick up your drink on the way into the dining room then grab a table or booth and mark your home base. You will likely regret it, either because of quantity or quality. I have been here many times over the years, the results are always the same. Lots of food. My husband and I visited here a few months ago for our anniversary and it was terrible. We had to pay before we even sat down, which I thought was odd. The food all tasted like old rotten fish, and smelled like it too; which is really sad because all I grabbed was fruit because nothing else looked appetizing. The fried shrimp, the chicken, even the knock-off Jello, all tasted of nothing except for the salt I used to try and get some flavor out of it. We were greeted at the door by a man impatiently waving his hand at us saying "You pay first", then after we found the table it dawned on me that the smell and the atmosphere reminded me of homeless shelter. The food wasn't to bad, if your into eating preservative laden garbage, it was only an hour after I ate there I was glued to the toilet with really bad stomach pain. There was no service, find your own table, napkins and silverware as you go. So if you like a filthy place to eat, with a vibe that attracts pushy and impatient animalistic people, with a guy at the front counter who has more in common with an emotionless ATM asking for a fee before you can withdraw your money then an actual human being, then this is the place for you. I remember going to this place when it first opened and it was awesome. But now, the place has mediocre to terrible food, unfriendly staff, and a filthy building complete with spray-painted graffiti in the bathrooms. I can understand an old building (another review mentions the ugly wood paneling) but there appears to be no maintenance or pride in the place. I'm not joking, I went into the ladies' room and it was covered in graffiti. The entire wall on my left was covered in spray painted gang tagging, and the paper towel dispenser was so dirty I used my elbow to operate it. The entire restaurant reeked of what I believe was urine. Not a single employee spoke to us beyond asking for our money. I'm now walking into a Chinese buffet with the idea in mind that if you have to pay before you step five feet past the door that I am walking away. Each place I have gone into like this ends up being a disaster. Their General Tso's Chicken was terrible (breading was soggy, chicken was tough and overcooked, and the sauce was disgusting - and honestly, who puts green peppers and pineapple in General Tso's Chicken? I've never seen a recipe for it that way). There was a mystery substance that I was picking out of my teeth after attempting to eat their Hot 'n' Sour soup (which should have actually been labelled cold 'n' bland soup). My husband said the Egg Drop Soup was the blandest he's had in his life. The shrimp in their dishes was half-heartedly de-veined (picked out about 3-4 shrimp from a serving of Seafood Delight that had not been de-veined or had half the vein still inside). The Fried Won-Tons (Crab Puffs or Crab Rangoon as it's called at other restaurants) were okay for a restaurant (I'm spoiled by my husband's, but I've had better at other buffets). I gave I one star because I was not able to give it 0. The place was disgusting, dirty and the food was boarder line uneatable. The cost for two adults and a 10 year old was about $30. Worst way to throw money out the window. The only item on the buffet that my family was able to eat was the pudding...and that was after searching through the tray of silverware to find a clean spoon. This buffet has a very large selection of Chinese food and some American selections too. On a Sunday afternoon, there are a lot of customers. People often complain about food quality at these sort of places, but my experience was just fine. The flavors were tasty to me. There is an ice cream machine, which is a fave. You pay for your meal when you walk in the door, and soft drink and other (non alcoholic) beverages are included. You retrieve your own silverware, drinks, etc., so there's a bit more running around than at other restaurants. It wasn't too big a deal to me. read more
