We haven't been here for years, and thinking to gove it a try since we were around this place on Tuesday. All you can eat price increased quite a bit. Food and ingredients are fresh and we like how you can choose the sauce by yourself. However, I think the CP value is not so worth it.

Biscuits were hard but I am going to assume it was because we went later in the day and these may have been made earlier.

I liked the idea that you can put whatever you want in the bowl, however much you want. I was taken back at the small size of the bowl. One of the reviewers mentioned how you can fit 3 meals if you do it right but at least for me I barely fit one meal. I think it really is about the techniques to stacking the ingredients. They also have lots of variety of sauces and a big sauce chart on the wall that you can follow if you want. With the $15 dinner one bowl option, it comes with a small bowl of rice (pretty small bowl and the scoop was small), a little salty miso soup or sweet and sour soup, biscuits, and cream puffs. Despite the small misses here and there, overall the food was pretty good and I was full by the end of it. Would go again!

Noodles, meat, veggie dish! Seafood is an extra $3

This place is awesome!! The servers were super friendly and helpful. They greeted us with rice and soup. I'm not sure what the appetizer was but they didn't offer it. I was full and the pricing was really reasonable. You control the sauces and the sodium intake so it is really customizable.

The food here was definitely tasty, if not a bit oily (because it is a BBQ). What the name doesn't say is that there is a pivotal point of the restaurant, in which time is of the essence--there is only one grill. Not only that, but it's a flat grill, where the chefs perform awesome feats with two wooden sticks and toss your food onto the grill, cook it, and amazingly toss it back into a bowl. Now it sounds amazing, but as you would expect from this set-up, you need to wait in line to have your food cooked for you. So after you decide on what course you want, and get a bowl and stuff it with the meat, veggies, and noodles that you want, you'll have to wait for about 10 minutes (depending on the line). My issue was that the seats were quite tightly cramped, and we have to leave our stuff at the table. Not only that, but the single washrooms were always in use. Oh and we got a complementary bowl of rice and some flaky pastry, which were both good. The service was friendly, and decor was all right, and the lunch AYCE menu was decently priced (about $15), so I would say it was a good deal. I might come here again with my friends (and remember to put some kimchi or pineapple on my stuff after it's been cooked because I kept forgetting).

    Enough said.

Picture says it all. I love this place. You get to make it exactly how you want it. It's like 3 meals in one if you do it right! Build a zucchini wall and work ur way up.

Beef/ thin noodles/red pepper/mushrooms/shrimp/onion/3 servings teriyaki sauce/2 hot sauce. Rice/hot sour soup that I mix in the rice! YUM!

This place, in my opinion is the most underrated restaurant in Vancouver. I am an hour away from this location(not Denman) and yet I come here regularly. Less so nowadays since I'm tryin' to lose a bit of weight! But the food is 10/10 hands down. I was introduced to it by a friend, went and was like ok I'll give it a go.Not the fanciest place but man! It blew me away and I've introduced quite a few people now and they are all regulars now. The great thing about the dinner menu is that if you are careful enough, you can get two meals out of it. I usually fill it in a way to take almost half with me for lunch next day. And yes you can take the rest with you unlike the Denman location. That's almost 7$ a meal. Can't beat that. Aside from the meat/noodle/veggies/sauces bowl they will bring you a Mongolian pastry with soup(miso, hotspicy which I get) and you can get a bowl of rice as well and they end it with a nice cream puff. All in all a hidden gem on West Broadway. Check it out.

    All you can eat!

A Gastronomic Awakening in Chinatown! You don't truly know…read moreuntil you go--and now that I've been, I'm haunted. As I write this, I am literally still dreaming of the Hong Kong Style BBQ Pork. It didn't just "eat" well; it dissolved into a decadent, sweet, fatty puddle of pure bliss. Walking in, the vibe is quintessential Chinatown: a bustling counter, a glass case showcasing glistening roasted treasures, and a seating area that trades fancy decor for pure, functional authenticity. We were clearly out of our element, probably looking like deer in headlights, but the staff met our confusion with warm smiles. Then came Bobby--the absolute heart and soul of this place. We walked in expecting the standard American-Chinese routine, but Bobby whisked us away to a cozy table and treated us like family. He started us off with a fragrant jasmine tea so naturally sweet and floral it didn't need a grain of sugar--perfect for a biting winter night. While we flirted with the Happy Hour menu, Bobby took the reins. You don't say no to a man with that much charisma and passion! On his expert recommendation, we pivoted to the Two-Meat Combo (BBQ Pork + Soy Chicken) with a side of their famous Roast Duck. The food arrived in a lightning-fast 10 minutes, but the real treat was Bobby's play-by-play on how each dish was prepared. You can taste the pride in every bite. The balance was masterclass: a symphony of sweet, salty, and umami. The meats were succulent, the skins were shattery-crisp, and the glazes were perfectly sticky. The undisputed heavyweight champion, however, was that Hong Kong BBQ Pork. Imagine the best "burnt ends" of your life, drenched in a caramelized, mouth-watering sauce that demands your full attention. We left Chinatown BBQ feeling more than just sated--we felt enlightened. If you're looking for a "one in a million" meal, let Bobby order for you. You won't regret it.

The char siu and soy sauce chicken were both cooked perfectly, moist and flavorful. The green scallion sauce was not necessary but it was still delicious ! Would've been great over rice. The extra fatty char siu the server gave me to try was over the top! Perhaps the best char siu I've had to date. My server, Bobby? Did a fantastic job and was very informative and I can tell he really likes what he does thru his enthusiasm

With about 9-10 people per table, we were treated to what felt like at least ten courses. There wasn't much time for photos, as conversation and catching up naturally took precedence. The standouts were the seafood fried rice and the green onion lobster and crab stir-fry -- rich, comforting, and generously flavoured, the kind of dishes that quietly anchor a long meal. It was a busy holiday weekend, and the restaurant was packed. Our original 7:00 p.m. reservation was delayed until 8:00 p.m., leaving many of us waiting outside in the cold. Once seated, the pacing felt off, with dishes arriving out of sequence, which gave the meal an oddly disjointed rhythm. A small apology or update from the staff would have been welcome, but none came. Overall, the food was very tasty, and I would consider returning -- particularly to explore more of their seafood offerings.

However, what truly disappointed me was the poor service. Even though the restaurant was not busy, the dishes were served very slowly. The first 2 dishes came out fast, but the later 2 dishes came out after 45 min. When we asked for additional rice and water, we had to wait an unusually long time. Throughout the meal, we felt neglected. It was hard not to feel that the level of service was noticeably indifferent, possibly because we did not order any high-priced seafood or premium dishes. For a restaurant at this price point, the service was simply unacceptable. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I would not return and would not recommend it.
