I did not go inside, but from my vantage point it looks like there's a few places to sit and they keep the inside very clean. I got the BBQ boneless spare ribs with fried rice ($11, one of the more expensive meals there). It is a large portion, and I split mine between two meals. It also came with a chicken egg roll which was really meaty and crispy - both good things. I didn't take a picture of everything right away but I instead share my lunch portion picture. The ribs are tender and already bite sized atop the bed of rice. The fried rice does not have a ton of vegetables in it, which is fine. I don't frequent Avon very often, but I'd definitely keep this place in mind when picking up dinner after coming from the airport!

Highlights were the Crab Ragoons and the Vegetable Lo Mein. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken but it was not spicy and actually quite mushy. I also realized they completely forgot to include the white rice that came with the chicken and that was quite unfortunate. Overall a okay place but nothing special.

The food was bland and barely seasoned they couldn't even toss the chicken in the sauce it was sparingly drizzled over it, another dish was inedible because it tasted like the Styrofoam container it came in and the fried rice being the most edible thing was barely able to be considered not just plain white rice. Lastly the portion sizes reflect on the cheaper menue prices versus their competitors because their large size is more equivalent to what one would expect of a small sized portion. This is just my opinion and it's based off one initial visit but I am neither petty nor a glutton this is just an honest review based on my conservative disappointment.

Disappointing Experience at Peking China Buffet 9/16/2025 at 11am…read moreRating: (1/5) Visited Peking China Buffet in Plainfield, IN for lunch with two friends--and unfortunately, it was a letdown from the moment we walked in. The dining room was dim due to multiple burnt-out bulbs, and the stained ceiling didn't help the first impression. Our server showed us to the table with no greeting or smile, just a quick drink order. The buffet itself was sparse and looked tired--most trays had only a few items, and very little appeared fresh. I tried to stick to the newly replenished dishes, but even that felt like a gamble. The moment that sealed it: my buddy accidentally dropped an egg roll on the floor, placed it at the end of the buffet bar, and grabbed the last one. Minutes later, I returned to find that same dropped egg roll had been put back into the serving bin. That raised serious concerns about food safety and cleanliness. After taking a closer look around, the place felt dirty and poorly maintained. Later that afternoon, all three of us felt ill. Between the high prices, stale food, and questionable hygiene, this is not a place we'll be returning to.
