We stopped for lunch at China One after seeing great reviews on Yelp. This no frills Chinese hole in-the-wall restaurant offers a large array of traditional Chinese options....and I needed my vegetables. The dining room is clean with only six booths and minimal decor. We were the only ones dining-in on a Monday morning, though they were getting a lot of pick-up orders. The lunch menu is cheap with most lunches at $7.99. I'm sorry I forgot to take a photo of the menu. Food is prepared fresh, quickly and is served very hot! The staff is friendly and accommodating. My hot and sour soup (which I ordered separately) was good. The small size is large and I ended up taking it home. I had the Shrimp with Vegetables and the shrimp were massive and perfectly cooked. The vegetables were a blend of mainly broccoli and peppers. I liked that there was not a heavy sauce on the meal. The fried price was ok. My husband had General Tao's Chicken. The chicken was freshly breaded and abundant. He was a bit disappointed that there was no broccoli with his meal. He was expecting broccoli because broccoli was shown in the picture above the counter. I gave him some of my broccoli. There is plenty of parking in the shared lot. Again the prices are not what they were, as we are still living in the 80's we had crab Rangoon, hot n sour soup, sweet & sour chicken, chicken & broccoli two egg rolls but all tasted good and were delicious. We had a few hours to spare before our flight, so we decided to give China One a try. I had the General Tso lunch with fried rice and my wife had chicken chow mein. Both entrees were excellent. Very fresh ingredients made with expert care. The dining room is a little austere, but very clean. We will eat here again. read more

My family has been coming here for years and we absolutely love it. The foods pretty good and you get a big portion and it's not that expensive. The service is okay but I don't think they speak English too well so just be patient, they're sweet workers and we always get a smile. It's quiet and nobody ever is really in there so if you want to eat in peace you definitely will get that. read more

I've never had something from China One that I didn't enjoy. They are dine-in again but I always do a carry out order. No matter how much I seem to order my food is always done within 15 minutes. The spring rolls are crispy and packed full of veggies. The cinnamon sugar doughnuts are also one of my favorites. Portions sizes are giant. The combo deals are the best bang for your buck. These meals include your main entree of choice with rice and an egg roll. I sometimes switch out my rice for a different type other than what comes with the meal. I'm not someone that gets Chinese food regularly. It's simply not something that my family ever ate as I was growing up, so I guess it never occurred to me to start as I was older. I don't know. I make bad excuses for myself when it comes to things like this...but anyway, I thought this place was pretty good! The take-out menus are simple enough to read. They don't tell you what comes with each dish. That would be helpful, because there are some things I prefer to be made a specific way. If you're one of those people, you'll have to ask when you place your order. Not a terribly difficult feat, but a recommended one if you find yourself being that specific. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and white rice. The teriyaki chicken had a different flavor than I was expecting. It's tangy and sweet, but not in the way that teriyaki usually is. It's very delicious, however, so don't let that deter you. The rice didn't have any extras in it but was cooked well. The portions are enormous -- I couldn't finish my dish. I paid $5 for what was essentially two meals. The food was hot and fresh. The chicken was tender and had good flavor. The soy sauce was not needed; they provided plenty of sauce on their meat to flavor the rice. They don't do fountain drinks, only bottled. I don't mind this. Just be warned of this if you order out, or if you go inside that you cannot get refills. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food served here. read more

I work close so I gave it a shot. Really glad I did. Had the chicken fried rice and pork dumplings. Typical menu selections for this type of restaurant. Pretty clean and friendly service. My food was served quickly. They don't have a fountain soda machine and only serve drinks in cans and bottles, which I prefer. Stopped in on a Saturday for lunch with a party of five. First impressions: clean and sparsely but nicely decorated dining area. Food pictures were new and fresh looking giving a favorable impression. Everyone ordered some type of lo mein dish except me - I ordered chicken teriyaki because it's always been a fav but not easy to find a good source so I felt daring. The food was colorful, and tasted crisp due to the chicken being batter fried. The sauce was on the thick and sweeter side which made it a bit overpowering, almost like pancake syrup. I was hoping for more of a balance - with more of a soy sauce flavor to be present. Everyone said their lo mein was very good. I am giving four stars more for the majority of my party liking their food and the crab rangoon was nicely fried and not for my dish-which was more like 3-stars. read more
