Awesome place to stock up on the most up to date outdoor products and gear! We found some awesome brands that we live here including Prana, Birkenstock, Patagonia, KAVA, Chacos, Keen and more! Done of the specialty areas I noticed in the store wear bags for outdoor usage, sunglasses and hats for sun protection, and pet supplies to take you furry friend along with you on these Virginia trails! The staff is super friendly and helpful when looking for sizes, products, and even class information regarding upcoming events! I'm looking into the wilderness survival course! Starting from before even moving here we've been using this store as our go to. The new location's even better with more space. Everyone is extremely helpful, the inventory is amazing and pricing is competitive. Amazed they still had the shoes that I've been looking for that are discontinued and literally NO ONE even the vendor have. Axe stock was low but had the right stuff and not a bunch of pointless items. Having the GB axe stone on hand was extremely surprising. Great store. Great people and great products. Drew was extremely helpful as I researched my purchase, including multiple trips to the store to learn more about canoes. Every time I have come in here I've enjoyed my interaction with the sales associates. The folks here are super nice and truly knowledgeable about the products they sell. Additionally, the brands and merchandise are picked with great care, and there is a fair variety to pick from. I don't have to second guess about quality when I browse for something since the selection is already carefully chosen. Recently I found a great pair of Sorel boots at a sale price that couldn't be beat online. I was impressed with the fact that apparently one of the buyers for their store personally tests each product that is selected for the sales floor. It's pretty apparent when you try on the shoes (or whatever item) yourself - the brands are excellent. This is a great place for the outdoorsy travel type as they offer a range of things from clothing to camping gear and shoes for all kinds of adventure. If you're looking to invest in great year round staple pieces as well as gear for hiking, etc, this is a place you want to check out! Plus, their after season sales are pretty awesome. read more
