We were able to park at the DT Disney lot (Great Maple will validate!) and walk to the Pixar Place Hotel, where GM is located. We had a reservation for 10 that was easy to book in advance, considering the large party. Before getting seated everyone must be present. From start to finish, all of the cast members we encountered were beyond friendly. Even taking the initiative to take our group photo. We ordered a bunch of dishes off of their seasonal Christmas menu such as the prime rib, eggnog crème brûlée, maple bacon old fashioned, you're a mean one cocktail. For appetizers we ordered mushroom fries and scalloped potatoes. For my main entree I got the Cajun Shrimp Biscuit Benedict and omg they did not skimp on the shrimps. It was served with a side of scalloped potatoes. Everything I tried was excellent. Must order dessert! We tried a few different ones but omg the maple bacon donuts...!!! We have stayed at the Pixar place hotel many times and never had the opportunity to visit the great maple until this trip. If I were to detract from a positive review, it would be due to the odd / short operating hours (but this could be due to them partnering with Disney, maybe). We decided to head back to the hotel a little early specifically to try this restaurant and were quite happy that we did. We were waited on by "Fidel" we asked and he said his name was Jesus Fidel Avila. He did an excellent job and was very attentive (best waiter we had all weekend) even though he had quite a few tables. The food was all very high quality, fresh, and delicious with just enough of a twist as to be unique to the restaurant. I will be happy to visit this restaurant again, and would not hesitate to visit one of their other locations when we visit So Cal. read more

There are some items I'd like to go back for and some I would not order again, just because of taste preference. The Caesar salad was simple and what you'd expect, the mushroom "fries" had a nicely seasoned batter but I wish they were cut thinner. These were almost like bricks lol. Mac and cheese wasn't too overwhelming. The fish sandwich had a lot of flavors going on, and although battered well, the seasoning and wetness of the aioli and slaw were a bit much for me. My friend ordered the BLT and that looked good. It's a short walk from Downtown Disney inside Pixar Pier Hotel. 3-hour free parking is available at the hotel when you get validation from the restaurant. I ordered a turkey bolognese. It was yummy. I do love a very meaty pasta with lots of sauce. My bf ordered the steakhouse burger. It was good but it was supposed to come out medium but it came to us medium rare which was too bloody for it. We decided not to ask them to take it back. :/ The fries were perfectly seasoned. To eat here is an expensive treat, but what do you expect for Disney prices. Service was a little lack luster because our server didn't check in with us as much as I would like. We had to ask for water twice and we were waiting to ask for the check a lot longer than I would like. We got mimosas as well and for $15 not sure it was worth it based off how much we did not get. That was disappointing. If you're a Disney fan inside is cool, it's relaxing and fun to be in. Decent food but ours had definitely been sitting out for a while before we received it. The coffee was ok but not as good as advertised. While the hostess and servers were really nice our waitress was not. It took long to for all of us to get our food and then when we did she didn't bring us any condiments that we asked for and we had to ask the servers for it. Had to ask for creamer and sugar for our coffee multiple times as well. The restaurant itself is cute and of course a close place to go before going to Disney but not top of my list. We came here with our family when on vacation. When we put our name down (Keep in mind there was 1 family inside eating) the woman didn't say anything just took our phone number and walked away. I received a text saying it would be 10 minutes for an empty restaurant. Once we were seated the woman at the front appeared to be having a bad day as she wasn't very friendly. We sat and looked at the menu. It took 15 minutes to be greeted to take our drink order. (Server was nice but timing was awful) Got our drinks and server walked away. Took another 15 to take our food order. Once we got our food it was good. Took another 20 to get our check when we were finished eating. Had to ask for the server to come check in on us. I would say overall for a newer restaurant training staff on proper timing is ideal. Especially when you have families coming in from disney paying a bunch of money for food. The Great Maple is located inside the Pixar Olace Hotel. It has a bright clean modern Disney ambience and the service was really great here. We started with a few brunch cocktails. The mimosas were good (but you can't really mess this up) and the espresso martini was delicious. I was a bit disappointed by the food however. The fried chicken had a very fishy taste for whatever reason (all three in my party agreed) and the bacon doughnuts were somewhat dry. When we stated our concern the manager came out to rectify the situation which was very gracious of her. The Chilequiles were okay. There's a lot going on so they look more like nachos. The chips were pretty soggy and I'm not sure what the sauce was usually it's green or red but it may have been absorbed. The egg I think is scrambled with chorizo instead of the usual over easy on top. Overall it was fine but note that it's not what you expect from Chilequiles. The French toast logs were the best of the three we tried. There's thick logs and very soft and buttery. It could use a bit more syrup but still tasty. All in all not the best experience for brunch. We celebrated Mother's Day here at Great Maple and needless to say we picked the right spot. Now, this is my second time here but my parent's first time. First time was an "okay" experience, food wise but I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. Food: I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, my mom got the Soda Pop Ribs, and my dad got the salmon. Everything was absolutely delicious. My dad loved his salmon ( mom tried as well and also thought it was delicious ). The ribs were nice and tender and "meaty". Some chain restaurants serve ribs and there is barely any meat on the bone, but not here at great maple. My hot honey chicken sandwich was phenomenal. Honestly, I think that that sandwich might crack my top 5 chicken sandwiches of all time. The hot honey aioli was chefs kiss. I also upgraded to truffle fries which was killer. Our excitement about trying something new was short-lived, as Angie descended upon our table like a vengeful spirit, scolding our child for grabbing the golden egg. I'm still trying to understand why she felt the need to make a scene, but what I do know is that her "customer service skills" are an abomination. To make matters worse, our waitress seemed to be put off by the whole ordeal and her behavior started to change. She was no longer enthusiastic or attentive, and her once friendly demeanor turned cold and distant. We asked her about the refillable drinks, and she bluntly told us that they were no longer a part of the package. Yummy spot for brunch, lunch, or dinner! The restaurant is very spacious and very cute with the subtle Disney decorations (the noir Disney portraits are such a nice touch!). I've been here a few times now and the service has been great every time! Their menu is the same all day, so you could really come at anytime, and I really appreciate that! They do take reservations, but they're typically not too hard to get. Same-day reservations are almost always available, and if you're coming in for a late lunch you may not need one. My favorite item on the menu is definitely the mushroom fries! They're so crispy when they're fresh and so delicious. The dipping sauce is also very good! Their maple bacon donuts are also very delicious, but be warned that they're VERY filling! A single order of these donuts comes with 3, so be sure to share these or be prepared to take them home with you! The same donuts also come with the fried chicken and donuts dish that's also very good. The fried chicken is tender and juicy and very flavorful! I've tried their very popular lemon and shrimp pasta as well. We came for breakfast on a Sunday after making reservations online (highly recommended) for 10am. Since this restaurant is located on the first floor of the hotel, park in the Pixar Place parking structure and get 3 hours free (validation at host station)! We arrived a bit early but at precisely 10am we were seated. Initially our service was a bit slow but the place was insanely busy so we took it in stride. Once our orders were taken our waiter was very attentive although the food and beverages were on the slow side to come out. We appreciated the bottle of water left at our table for the duration. We both ordered cinnamon toast lattes with my wife getting hers with oat milk rather than whole milk like me. The delicious smell of cinnamon wafted from the mugs and the latte was fantastic. For breakfast I ordered the french toast logs with maple bacon syrup and a side of sausage. The french toast logs were enormous! The bits of bacon and blueberries on the french toast added to the flavor as did the superb-quality maple syrup. The thick, fried-egg-battered hunks of french toast were almost cake-like; this was not your traditional french toast. But perhaps my favorite french toast of all time? The two sausage links on the side were very good and balanced the sweetness of my maple-syrup-drenched french toast. This place exceeded my expectations. Great Maple Located at the Pixar Place Hotel, you can get to their own parking structure if you are coming from Katella up Disneyland Drive, pass the parking for downtown Disney, you will see another light to your left that is where to go. Mention at the gate you are dining at Great Maple and they will let you in. PRO TIP! Eating at Great Maple gets you a three hour validation, so you can eat and walk Downtown Disney and not have to pay the $10 parking at Downtown Disney. The restaurant itself is very spacious with outdoor seating as well. We went on a weekday so it wasn't too busy. We came for breakfast but their menu is an all day menu so if you want a burger or some ribs for breakfast, have at it! Went here with my roommates (my parents =P) and Fiancée and loved that we each got our own dishes so I was able to try each of them. Wasn't planned but always love when that happens! Service was great and its easy to tell that even if the restaurant was busy they would be on point. Smoked Bacon Scramble - My mom went with this dish but she opted for all egg whites, so the picture will look different than others.
