Great Indian Kitchen has a charming, welcoming atmosphere that makes it a great spot to sit down and explore authentic Indian food. The Mirchi Tikka was cooked perfectly and was genuinely the best I've ever had, while the butter chicken was another incredible standout. I also got to experience several authentic dishes I'd never tried before, which made the meal even more memorable. Between the delicious food, inviting atmosphere, and affordable lunch specials, this has quickly become one of my favorite Indian spots in the Valley.

It is nice to try this place but I am surprised with the high rating. Food was good but not as good as other places I've been. Staff were nice and accommodating. Decor has Indian murals. Price and food quality doesn't do for me. We left feeling somewhat full but not fulfilled or satisfied with the food quality. We will not be back.

Absolutely amazing!!! I was beyond excited to learn that Great Indian Kitchen has opened a location in the SFV (Studio City) area! My husband & I have been to their Valencia location many times and loved everything about their restaurant. The family that owns it are the loveliest people & they truly care about the quality and taste of the food they serve. The food is so fresh, so full of flavor, so delicious and plentiful! We ordered from the lunch special menu which they have daily until 3pm. They are closed on Mondays. We also ordered some dishes to take home off the regular menu. The service is outstanding! Friendly, welcoming & warm. The restaurant itself is spacious, beautifully designed, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating which is covered & the restaurant is very clean. I would have to say this is by far the best Indian restaurant in the San Fernando Valley! Don't just take my word for it - please go there and try it out. You won't be disappointed.

Our first visit here honestly felt like a little trip to India! The Yogurt Saffron Chicken Curry was absolutely delicious--the saffron gave it such a unique and amazing flavor. We also tried the Chicken Tikka Masala, and if I remember correctly, it's made using the owner's great-grandmother's recipe. It was something completely new to me, and I highly recommend trying it! The service was outstanding. Our server was so kind, welcoming, and polite. It felt more like visiting someone's home than dining at a restaurant. Don't leave without trying the Masala Chai and the pistachio ice cream--they were both amazing!

I love the colors of this painting 5 STARS

The Ambiance was so great and our server was so nice and friendly to us and the chips were so good and it was just the beginning that is so nice 5 STAR

Great Indian kitchen has to be the best Indian restaurant in the area! They are an adorable mom and pop family owned spot and the food is so delicious. The samosas were great, chicken vindaloo and goat biryani with garlic naan and licked the plates clean. The staff is so lovely and accommodating, we can't wait to come back!

Decided to try a few different items on the menu. We started with the Muay Thai Wing Kicks, which were absolutely amazing--perfectly crispy soy chicken wings with a great lemongrass flavor and topped with crispy basil. (Side note: we took the sauce home because it was so good lol) We also ordered the Tom Kah Kai soup which had that perfect hot-and-sour coconut broth flavor i always look for. Followed by the Pad Thai with tofu. All of the Asian dishes were so good. My husband went a different route and ordered the Burrito from their "Little Mexico" section. It comes with minced soy chicken, brown rice, black beans and cashew cheese. He thought it was just okay compared to other items we ordered. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. We noticed their take out was busier than dine in because i counted no less than 8 drivers plus another 3-4 pickup orders came in while we were there. And we were there pretty late.

Since then I eat here regularly and quite love the food and the team of people there so this review is focused on that. This is consistent, healthy , delicious food with lots of options. I'm a huge fan of the Ahi Tuna Plate - which I get cooked well-done instead of seared and I love their salads so I get the Arugula salad and the Spinach salad as my sides. Flavors are great - very satisfying lunch or dinner option. Also love all the new menu items they have -- they keep the menu fluid and seem to add new things a lot so there are always new things to try. I love the Falafel - and I'm picky about my Falafel. Also, the braised beans are very tasty. Their beverage options are plentiful -- green juice, mint lemonade, a couple different kinds of iced tea, sodas and they have beers as well (according to my friend: "good ones"). The team they have in there right now is LOVELY, kind, friendly, fast and really welcomes you. Plenty of free parking, which is always nice. Located on the 2nd level with an elevator, an escalator and stairs so access options for all! :) I go here several times a month for a quick bite and Tender Greens always delivers. So they've gotten past their Covid failure and turned into one of my Studio City staples. Also, it's not a fancy place, but their second floor location, provides sort of a nice view of Ventura Blvd and the mountains in the distance. I like going in and sitting there for a bite. It's pleasant and easy.

What he apparently did not notice during this research phase was one fairly major detail: the entire restaurant is vegan. Once he realized it, there was a definite moment of hesitation. I was more in the camp of, "Well, you brought us here. We're committed now." Thankfully, his accidental vegan ramen selection turned out to be a very good one. The space is compact and dimly lit, with dark walls, simple wood tables, and a warm glow throughout. It was packed when we went, which gave the room a lively energy, but it still felt cozy rather than chaotic. Once the bowls arrived, any skepticism disappeared pretty quickly. The broth was much richer and more flavorful than either of us expected, with that creamy, savory quality you want from a comforting bowl of ramen. We both finished ours. I had the No. 9 Truffle Salt Ramen and added fried dumplings to mine. The dumplings gave the bowl a nice crispy contrast, and the truffle flavor came through without overpowering everything else. The funniest part is that neither of us walked in specifically looking for vegan ramen. We just wanted a good bowl of ramen, and that's exactly what we got. Parking is available in the shared plaza lot, but keep in mind those spaces are shared with the neighboring businesses. Street parking is another option if the lot is full. My friend may not have realized he was taking us for vegan ramen, but I'm giving him full credit for the accidental discovery.

The staff is friendly, service is fast, and the whole menu is vegan. Although some may consider…read morethis to be a unique dining experience, and probably intended for our fellow vegetarians and vegans, unfortunately this restaurant is not for me. I am not vegan, nor am I opposed to trying new vegan spots, but this one was doing the most. The menu is so simple, yet so elaborate with the different flavored soups you can choose. I tried the No. 8 red hot miso signature ramen bowl. Signature ramen bowls came with corn, dumpling, arugula, ginger tofu scramble, noodles, and crispy onion. I think warm arugula was not for me, and the tofu scramble was way too much since the broth was already so rich. The signature priced at $23. The broth is very thick, heavy, and overpowering. The broth is so rich and thick that I could not even finish the bowl without getting so tired of it halfway. The flavors were very interesting. There was a smoky hint and smell throughout the restaurant, and I was not the biggest fan of it. Once the bowl of ramen is ready, they put this glass lid on time and wait a certain time until they walk it out. My cousin tried the mac and cheese, and that was delicious. The truffle taste is very present and lingered the entire night - forewarning. Inside the restaurant was unique house music playing loudly and it was dark. It was giving mysterious dining. For presentation and creativity, this place gets a 10/10. I do not think I will be returning. Additional suggestion: having meat alternative options to add to the bowl. Parking is terrible in the small plaza and it is difficult to find parking on Ventura Blvd.

Walked in yesterday around 12:40PM and got somewhat of a normal greeting from Jace. He took my order and the food came out pretty quickly, nice and hot. They have extensive menu options from baked goods, to a variety of crepes, sandwiches, pasta, pizza, burgers, salads, and Mexican food of all types. They have hot and cold beverages, including bottled, canned, and fountain drinks. Just to name a few. I ordered from their new menu options. Got me a Grilled Chicken Panini Sandwich with: tomato, lettuce, basil, Mozzarella cheese, Pesto paste on a nicely toasted Baguette bread. Side of salad and 2 ranch dressings. The lettuce was somewhat crispy, and had few old pieces in it. Still tasted fresh and delicious. ($18.99). I also got their new item on the menu, a Mediterranean Omelette: 3 eggs, black olives, yellow cooked bell peppers, Hearts of Palm, Artichokes, & Greek Feta cheese. I also got a side of fresh fruit (Bananas, Strawberries & Blueberries). Also tasted very good. It had this secret sauce topped on top and was a bit tangy for my taste.. ($ 19.99). All ingredients were fully loaded on the omelette inside and outside. To-go orders, 3rd party and of course dine-in. Wanted to get some pastries and the cases were half empty. They used to have delicious Cheesecakes, Muffins, all types of Fruit tarts, danishes & a whole lot more. He even said that the last Cheesecake was 2 days old. So what was it doing in their display? Inside and outside seating, spotless clean, along with their 2 gender-neutral restrooms fully stocked with the proper essentials. Thankfully they got rid of that stupid sink. Nice decor/pictures here and there. New owner, new prices, but I still love this place. I will return again soon. Since my last review that I have written, I've been there at least 7 more times, but not in a long time.

Looking at my old Yelp photos compared to what we got now, they are not the same fries. We each ate maybe 10 fries before giving up and leaving to get curly fries from a late night fast food place instead. The ranch also tasted like Italian vinaigrette dressing and not ranch at all. The girls working are always super friendly and sweet, but the guy manager was cold and honestly rude. We also waited forever just to place our order. Like easily 6 minutes in silence standing at the counter being the only ones there. I really hope they can turn things around because the old Crave had some of the best fries in Studio City and I would often show up with 5-10 people at night for the pizza fries and / or the basic fries alone. Others did start to arrive during our meal, so the atmosphere livened up a bit as the energy increased. My wife made an "entree" out of 2 starters: Shrimp Scampi and Roasted Mushrooms. Both came piping hot, sizzling in skillets with a good bit of butter, garlic and white wine in each. The shrimp were medium sized, which made them very tender, and they really held onto the pleasingly powerful garlic butter they were bathed in. The same was true of the mushrooms, prepared almost the same, with perhaps a bit less garlic. These were fairly ordinary button mushrooms, cooked whole, but cooked so well that their lack of fanciness didn't matter at all. For myself, I ordered the Steak Milanesa Sandwich, served on their crispy Argentine bread with tomatoes and mayo, plus a liberal dressing of spicy chimichurri that I added myself. It was a good sandwich, but the beef was sliced a bit too thin, becoming tougher than usual during the frying process. It wasn't in any way bad, but I've had it better here at other times. The accompanying French Fries were hot, crisp, salty and just right. The portion (sandwich and fries) is very generous, and quite filling.
