I don't know where to begin with this review of mine. Stuck between the loud TVs--without the captions being turned off, or the super loud annoying music that they were playing inside & outside simultaneously. Walked in yesterday around 12:40PM and got somewhat of a normal greeting from Jace. He took my order and the food came out pretty quickly, nice and hot. They have extensive menu options from baked goods, to a variety of crepes, sandwiches, pasta, pizza, burgers, salads, and Mexican food of all types. They have hot and cold beverages, including bottled, canned, and fountain drinks. Just to name a few. I ordered from their new menu options. Got me a Grilled Chicken Panini Sandwich with: tomato, lettuce, basil, Mozzarella cheese, Pesto paste on a nicely toasted Baguette bread. Side of salad and 2 ranch dressings. The lettuce was somewhat crispy, and had few old pieces in it. Still tasted fresh and delicious. ($18.99). I also got their new item on the menu, a Mediterranean Omelette: 3 eggs, black olives, yellow cooked bell peppers, Hearts of Palm, Artichokes, & Greek Feta cheese. I also got a side of fresh fruit (Bananas, Strawberries & Blueberries). Also tasted very good. It had this secret sauce topped on top and was a bit tangy for my taste.. ($ 19.99). All ingredients were fully loaded on the omelette inside and outside. To-go orders, 3rd party and of course dine-in. Wanted to get some pastries and the cases were half empty. They used to have delicious Cheesecakes, Muffins, all types of Fruit tarts, danishes & a whole lot more. He even said that the last Cheesecake was 2 days old. So what was it doing in their display? Inside and outside seating, spotless clean, along with their 2 gender-neutral restrooms fully stocked with the proper essentials. Thankfully they got rid of that stupid sink. Nice decor/pictures here and there. New owner, new prices, but I still love this place. I will return again soon. If I could give this 0 stars based on this visit, I would. This used to be one of my favorite places for fries. I'd always get late night pizza fries because they were incredible. I even went as recently as last year and they were amazing. However... My girlfriend and I came back recently, and it was a huge letdown. The fries were soft, undercooked, and so salty that all I could taste was salt. My girlfriend said it was like a grandmother made them at home. Looking at my old Yelp photos compared to what we got now, they are not the same fries. We each ate maybe 10 fries before giving up and leaving to get curly fries from a late night fast food place instead. The ranch also tasted like Italian vinaigrette dressing and not ranch at all. The girls working are always super friendly and sweet, but the guy manager was cold and honestly rude. We also waited forever just to place our order. Like easily 6 minutes in silence standing at the counter being the only ones there. I really hope they can turn things around because the old Crave had some of the best fries in Studio City and I would often show up with 5-10 people at night for the pizza fries and / or the basic fries alone. Honestly, I love how late this place open and sometimes your boy wants to eat at like 12am after a dance class. It's spaciously long they have indoor and outdoor seating as well. There is parking in the little plaza structure. I was so amazed on how extensive the menu is, so many options to choose from. It took a bit but I settled for the chicken tacos and onion rings. The chicken tacos were good and the chicken was well seasoned. The onion rings were the perfect side and cooked beautifully, light, crispy and crunchy. I really need to go back and try their desserts, like look at the pastry display case, all look beautiful. read more

Each visit has been consistently good here. We've had chicken tenders and fries, salmon platter, crepes, salad, soup. We've enjoyed everything. The service staff are so kind, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Comfortable seating, TVs and music but nothing is overwhelming, very relaxed setting. read more

Ambiance is hip easy to kickback alone and enjoy reading being on laptop. Service is sound although not to familiar as I always grab my own. But always very nice. As for the food that is altogether another thing. Not sure what's going on back there in the kitchen but the worst panini I ever had. Paninis are easy to make but one tiny slice of mozzarella even thinner one slice tomato with 2 breads too much oil lots oregano it was an invest I won't do again I used to love crave not sure what happened. read more

Crave Cafe - Studio City aka CC#2 is an extension of Crave Cafe Sherman Oaks aka the OG/original. It's not as spacious, definitely more boutique style restaurant cafe compared to its older sibling location. Located off Ventura Blvd (like CC - Sherman Oak) but near the intersected street of Laurel Canyon - technically at Ventura Blvd & Ventura Place with entrances and exits from Laurel or the Venturas. This hidden spot sit back behind the old Du-Par's (now Sephora), near/in the same lot with Trader Joe's, Mendocino Farms more than a handful of small and local businesses. Needless to say the parking lot stays busy! If you're dining in you get a full experience, however ordering delivery is something to be noted as the prices with free Wi-Fi, entertainment (tvs or music), gender neutral restrooms, customer service and more. It's not as warm (inviting) as the Sherman Oaks location for me. Service is pretty legit and kind, family owned and doing their best, but definitely could use a revamp in a few areas, a little can go a long way. For Delivery/Pickup - I've gotten combo meals without fries or a side that clearly should be apart of the experience.... Not sure why but that's happened more than a few times. That said grateful for the extensive options and veggie/vegan/vegetarian friendly menu - the Vegan Cheese Pizza is a favorite! My wife, son and I were looking for a restaurant near the house and we remembered seeing it and thought we went to a different one once and liked it, so decided to come to this one and try it out. We ordered a Angus Beef Burger, Portobello Mushroom Entre and a Turkey Burger, all of which were very, very good. The serving of the Portobello Mushroom was large and my wife ate about half and took the other half home for the next day. Ana was the lady who took our order and was very nice, talkative, fun and helpful in helping us make a decision as to which food to order. Victor was our server and helpful as well. The restaurant is long and narrow but we had no problem with getting a table for the three of us. The closest I can get to an adequate description of this cafe is a train station restaurant. You eat, can hang out a bit if you wish, and then go on your way. I didn't get a very welcoming or cozy feeling from it at all. The cashier/waitress was pretty apathetic and almost curt, until I tipped well. The food was about average; Norms comes to mind.The other server that I interacted with was very kind and had much better customer service than the cashier. All in all, a pretty bland experience. It's hard to recreate the chain restaurant effect in a small business(although, I know Crave Cafe has more than one location), but they've done it here. There are two restaurants called Crave in the valley. This one is not affiliated with the Crave Cafe' in Sherman Oaks. Food: Most of the food was served luke warm. Eggs were cold. The pancakes were burnt. Hash Browns were oily. It actually amazed me that the server thought it was ok to serve the pancakes burnt. The restaurant was empty except for us. Service- considering that you have to place your order at the cashier & your food is brought to the table - there was zero follow up with checking back to see if everything was ok or if we needed anything else. Ambiance- cute little place. However, one of the servers decided to use a cleaning spray on the windows which then caused the restaurant to smell like cleaning products. Either clean before you open the doors or afterwards when you're closed. We won't be coming back. read more
