I went in to work on some projects while I waited for my wife who had an appointment nearby. The place had sufficient space for me and my laptop and the workers did not seem to mind me working. I had their mushroom quiche, a peanut butter cookie, and an iced matcha. The matcha was refreshing and sweet - that's exactly how I like it. The peanut butter cookie was soft and sweet and almost gooey but not. There were a few crumbles which I like. The star of the show for me was the quiche. I almost bought another one but I had to stay in control hahaha. All in all, a great experience, a great place for all people to go, and amazing food and service.

Disappointed, we cruise over to The Farmers Skillet located a few miles away in Chico on Rio Lindo. We strolled in at 1:50 pm, noting they also close at 2 pm. I ask politely if we are too late even though our hostess already has two menus in her hand and a smile on her face. "Not at all," she exclaims and then says "Welcome". Service there was warm, and unhurried. The Roost could learn a lesson here. If your 24/7 policy is to stop serving half an hour prior to closing then it should be posted, and door locked maybe? I know Deja Vu (also in Chico, on the Esplanade) closes at 2 pm and they have the CLOSED sign up with door locked at 1:45 pm. We shan't be returning. Very disrespectful and unnecessary. IF in fact that IS the policy of this diner and not just the whim of a lazy student/hostess then we should still have been seated. It was 1:30 pm as we entered. Shame on management. Know your staff and make sure they are operating with YOUR agenda and priorities, not theirs.

Bidwell Perk absolutely nailed it. Everyone working there was genuinely friendly and provided excellent customer service. They clearly use high-quality beans, and as someone who drinks coffee black and is admittedly a bit of a coffee snob, that matters. I also grabbed a ginger snap cookie, and it was everything I hoped for: perfectly gingery without being overpowering, soft, and wonderfully chewy. We were only there briefly (mostly due to the prompt service) since we were just passing through on our way home, but if we'd had more time, I would've happily lingered and enjoyed the space. I'll definitely stop here again the next time I'm in the area.

The hash browns were completely overcooked with no yellow potatoes at all, everything was beyond crispy brown. The toast was cold and /or stale. Never saw my waitress after placing my order. Had to flag down some other employee for a box for my sausage and jalapeno scramble and my check. Considering the amount of employees in this place, the service was terrible. No one was rude but service was non existent. No one offered to refill my coffee or even came by during the 25 minutes I was there after my order was delivered. $25 for a coffee and scramble I've been to Nash's plenty of times and this was by far the worst experience. Crossing it off my choices when I come to Chico. Side note: there was a beautiful car parked outside.

Not sure why my review was flagged the first time. It was a real review. I want to preface this by saying the food and bread here is amazing. That being said, great tasting food isn't the end all of restaurants. Just because you have good food doesn't mean you provide good service and Great Harvest is one of those places. I have been there multiple times, and each and every time they have below average customer service (at least with the females that work there) the one guy who I have seen up front is usually pretty nice and helpful. I noticed today, like many other times, that the prices online and on the fax over menu are much cheaper then what they actually charge. Instead of just ignoring it, I decided to mention it today - since instead of my $6.30 half sandwhich and soup I was charged $9. Granted, it's not that much to begin with but I feel like I have the right to know why I am continuously being charged a different price then what's online and available in-store for fax menu's. The lady who helped me pretty much didn't offer the advertised price, she charged me the full $9 and when I asked her about it told me that she didn't come up with the prices - all with a sassy attitude. I probably wouldn't have been so turned off had she merely said something along the lines of, "oh those prices are outdated, I'm so sorry about any inconvenience" yada yada yada. But she didn't. After she was a sassy sally, she proceeded to mention that she would talk to someone - but any intelligent person could tell she has no intent on doing so. If you're going to have prices that are priced lower online and for menu's that you can fax orders for you, you sure as hell better stick to them and if not then you better update them on your website. If these things are both two difficult for you, then my recommendation is to at least hire associates who know how to suck it up, smile, and make the customer feel appreciated. read more

Great Harvest is delicious! I eat hear at least once a week, sometimes more. Literally every time I come here, the sandwiches are super fresh. I usually get the turkey sandwich, but the paninis and soups are also awesome! They bake their breads and pastries fresh every day, but all of the other ingredients they use are always just as fresh. If you want a treat, the cinnamon swirl bread is super yummy. Scones and muffins are fantastic! Cookies are fantastic! I like that they let you sample pretty much any of their breads and treats on their bread board. Sometimes it makes it hard to decide though! Furthermore, whenever I come here for lunch, I usually have my sandwich in a few minutes, 5 at the most. Unless I'm ordering a panini, then it takes a little less than 10 minutes. They are super quick with their service and when I'm in a slight hurry, I can count on them to be quick. Lastly, it seems they know how to hire the right people. Most of their locations seem to keep the same employees. Several have been there quite a while and all of them are very nice! it's been awhile since i've yelped and i'm going to break my fast with this post. any hungover person in chico is always searching for any kind of sandwich. or a place that serves breakfast food hella early. LOOK NO FURTHER. this place has the dankest sandwiches of all time. hella fresh ice water (water cups with lids as well). the employees are so nice and are literally there to cater to your every need. also when you walk in you might be a little hungry, DON'T WORRY THEY THOUGHT OF THAT. they give you a free piece of delicious bread and you can put hella butter on it right there yourself. great prices and they are open SIX AM TO 5:30 PM MTWTFS just not sunday not open on sunday. fast AF wifi FO FREE. and a really sexy guy works here. all around a ++++++++++++++++++++++++++1000 plus signs read more

Great Harvest is consistently delicious. I come here for lunch a lot and their service is extremely quick - even during the lunch rush. Their sandwich ingredients are always fresh. I can't recall the last time that anything was less than perfect. Their soups, paninis and pastries are all very good. I give the food itself 4 1/2 stars, but over all taking into consideration how consistently good and quick and friendly they are, I give them 5 stars. I definitely recommend them! read more

Okay where do you begin. Do you want a bakery treat? Do you want a healthy sandwich? do you need a loaf of bread for later???First you just have to go early in the day before they sell out. Then just walk in and your nose will know, this is home. Order a sandwich and some cinnaburst bread to go. Maybe some rolls.....Heaven at first bite you can taste the quality of the ingredients.
