I visited on a Saturday around noon on the strength of a recommendation and was met with a rather direct reminder that the kitchen closes at 1 p.m., so only the remaining pastries were available. I ordered the tiramisu and strawberry cheesecake ($16.48). There was a small issue with the tiramisu, i called them afterwards; the staff member kindly offered a refund or replacement--thoughtful service that left a good impression. We had them provide food for my husband's Memorial on August 30th, and they did an absolutely fantastic job! I did not get a picture of the food spread, but it was beautifully displayed and delicious! We had boards of sandwiches, fruits, spreads, vegetables, crackers, pickles, olives, and small desserts. I went to Heirloom Kitchen in early April to order a carrot cake for my partner's birthday. He's a bit of a carrot cake aficionado, and Marcy said hers was an old family recipe. Well, this cake did not disappoint! It was a stunning 3-layer 6" cake, with simple yet elegant decoration. The cream cheese frosting was divine, and best of all -- there were no raisins! He said it was the best he's ever had... so Heirloom helped make me girlfriend of the year! The day I placed my order, I also picked up a Cobb salad to-go, and that was also one of the best Cobbs I've ever had. There was a generous amount of seasoned, roasted chicken and a side of chunky blue cheese dressing. Perhaps my favorite discovery? Salads (maybe all bistro items?) come with a complimentary brownie bite! I learned this on my first visit after they ran after me to my car -- "You forgot your brownie!" I hadn't ordered one, so I was understandably confused... but I gladly accepted, and enjoyed, a bite of happiness in brownie form. I've since returned for another Cobb salad + brownie lunch treat, and I can't wait for my next excuse to order a cake. I only wish their charcuterie boards came in smaller portions for weekend winery excursions. Charcuterie is my favorite food group, but I just haven't had a reason or event to order for 4-6 people. Typed "lunch" on yelp and Heirloom Kitchen was the first place to pop up. Saw the menu and thought the Thai chicken salad looked great so I gave this place a try. I tried the Thai chicken salad, chipotle chicken melt, the german chocolate cake and cappuccino mousse. All were excellent! The salad was so fresh and the dressing was great! The chicken melt came with a delicious side of potato salad and a cute little brownie bite! And the desserts were amazing! I believe the owner was in and another gal who made my sandwich. Both were very friendly! The only con is the location, and I'm only saying it because I would never have known about it unless I searched on yelp!
