Went for lunch on Friday. The owner was there & shared stories, recommendations & history of the restaurant. Food was incredible. Had someone from New Orleans make me red beans & rice years ago & I've been searching for something to match since. Garibaldis surpassed that, & is now my new favorite! Friend had the seafood gumbo, the owner had us try the apple cake too. Cooks even came out to check on us. Will definitely be going back & often! read more

Wonderful, flavorful food, and the owner and employees are so nice. Very helpful, friendly, and excellent service.

Delicious Cajun food - gumbo, etoufee', jambalaya, po-boys. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. And don't forget the Apple-Dapple cake! read more

The owner was very generous. We arrived 10 minutes before closing. I then realized this fact but they were very accommodating and even praised OUR patience. The food is fantastic and i will definitely be going back when there is more time. One thing i wish they served is dirty rice but i understand how that is not really a mainstream dish anymore and probably doesn't sell well. You have to try their apple dapple cake. read more

Wish I took pictures!but too hungry and every bite tasted like your granmas comfy cooked food on a cold day . The garlic shrimp bread made me speechless... I have NEVER tasted something so good I could eat that bread everyday if I could . I'm picky and don't like greasy food and this was easy on my tummy and I feel light and full instead of heavy. 10/10 recommended. Simple and satisfying. read more

The food was great, and Mr. Garibaldi is a gem. I will go back as often as I can and try everything on the menu. read more

I walk a special needs kids to bus stop on corner every day where this restaurant is. The owner (I believe) is the Coolest Guy! Let's my little buddy chill on the patio or inside for drink and snack. He also brings us treats and is so kind to us. This is the kind of business I want to support. read more

Highly recommend this Cajun food place . Awesome stews and friendly people. This lunch sure hit the spot . The etouffe was exceptionally good . read more

Kevin was amazing! I knew the minute we spoke he was the person I wanted to have cater for us. He gave me great guidance on menu choices. Normally caterers show up and drop off the food with the chafing dishes. He came the day before, examined the venue, orchestrated the table layout. On the day, be brought two additional servers. We had his tri-tip, special marinated chicken, garlic roast potatoes and a refreshing salad with strawberries and mandarin oranges. He and his servers cleared plates from the tables, cut and served cake he didn't even provide. They were gracious and charming. He packed up leftovers which were delicious for days afterwards. He did all this for our 20 person Celebration of Life. Can't say enough thanks to him for making the celebration truly celebratory read more

LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Justus started my daughter and I with lovely peach tea! Fresh, delicious! I watched him use three skillets to prepare our food! We had Jambalaya, Gumbo and Scrimp Etouffee! All meals had the perfect blend of spice and love mixed. I will return again with the goal of trying every item on the perfect sized menu!!! Finished off with dessert. It is also cool to know the recipes used have been passed down generations. It was our pleasure finding this jewel of a place! read more

The owner Kevin is very friendly and let me try some cake and even jambalaya while I was waiting for my food. Pretty authentic New Orleans taste on Jambalaya and gumbo. read more

My family just ate at Garibaldis and we will definitely be returning! My husband had the seafood jambalaya, my son had the chicken and sausage jambalaya, and I had the mamas gumbo. We also had the cat fish and fries and the chicken strips and fries. Kevin brought us some of his mamas famous apple dapple cake and it was to die for! read more

This is a review of the restaurant: My husband and I ordered the Seafood Gumbo, Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya and beignets. The food was excellent and the serving sizes large enough to feed at least a family of four. If you are looking to satisfy a craving for Creole/Cajun food, I highly recommend. read more

Wow! Absolutely delicious food! We happened to see the less than obvious sign saying Creole and Cajun food. Alright. The owner chef, Kevin, suggested the seafood gumbo and it was perfect! He also just had to share with us the peach tea, rice and beans and his momma's apple cake. Our "little" lunch turned into a feast. I can't believe he's been there for 2 years and we are just discovering this gem. Can't wait to go back! read more

So glad to find authentic creole food in Chico. I ordered the chicken and sausage with medium spice. It was a huge portion for lunch and was full of meat. The flavors were authentic to NOLA. Felt like I was in the French Quarter. I met the owner Kevin who gave me a complimentary dessert as a first time customer, which complemented the main course well. The staff was extremely friendly too. Definitely going back and trying their beignets! read more

Oh my gosh! So so good, you will not be disappointed! Seafood Jambalaya, is one of my favorites and don't forget Apple Dapple cake

Mardi Gras theme. The food was delicious and the family loved it. In time as stated. Family friendly.

I'm from Louisiana, New Orleans-born, and Chef Kevin knows what he's doing. The muffaletta was spot on, not too much salad so it didn't overwhelm the sandwich like it can. The red beans and rice is excellent with just enough spice. And the beignets are Café du Monde-worthy. We will be working our way through the whole menu! read more

Garibaldi's Catering - Red beans and rice! - Caterers Near Me - Chico, California

We tried the new menu straight from New Orleans today. We ordered two different kinds of gumbo, a Cajun tri-tip sandwich, and red rice and beans. It was all extremely flavorful and delicious! We highly recommend that everyone try this out! So glad Chico now has this option for takeout. read more

Garibaldi's New Orleans Cuisine is just the take out experience to lift your spirits and please your taste buds in difficult times. We tried the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo, Shrimp Jambalaya and the Starburst Salad. It was hard to decide which we like better. What we agreed, however, that we did like was the ease of the pick up process and the friendly manner of the owner Kevin Garibaldi. We can't wait to try some of the other items on this amazing menu. Kevin Garibaldi catered our 40th wedding anniversary party.I met Kevin at a party that he was catering and loved the food. I was not disappointed. The food was delicious. I asked for several specific appetizers and Kevin had a tasting so I could taste the appetizers and approve. He made yummy sweet potato bites with hummes and my favorite bacon cups which everyone loved. Kevin and his staff were very professional. I would definitely recommend Kevin and his delicious food. He is also a very nice person with a great since of humor. read more

Unfortunately I cannot brag. I was at an event for our hospitals Christmas party and felt we inconvenienced them. Drinks were poor, steak, chicken, mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables were cold and stiff. Luke warm would have sufficed to say the least but it wasn't even that. They took my plate of food and dessert before I was finished. No catering was done to us just a huge disservice to us all I can say. I hope to never encounter this again. read more

Recently was able to enjoy Kevin's cooking once agian! My husband's office decided to have him cater the annual holiday party. Once again his food was fantastic. Everything from the appetizers to the desert was delicious. Thank you Kevin! It was great to see you again! :D read more

My husband and I were married on Nov 2nd, 2019. There is no way that our day would have been as special as it was if Garibaldi's catering had not been there. We live in the Bay area but have family property near Chico, Ca and decided to have our big day up north. At first I was freaking out because I was not sure how to handle the fact that I would not be able to drive back and forth at the drop of a hat to handle wedding details (+I did not have a wedding planner). There were a couple of other catering companies that I did contact but either the price was WAY over budget or they were busy on that date, etc. When I found Garibaldi's I was hoping that everything on their website was true, great food at an affordable price. It was everything promised and more! We had not met a more professional, courteous, and reassuring chef/caterer! He worked with the date and times that we were able to make the drive up. We got to taste the most amazing food. When there had to be a change made to where they were setting up at the last minute, we did not hear one negative comment, nor did we get anything but positivity from everyone that worked at the wedding. THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS! This is not your typical, boring wedding food. We had almost 300 people there and not one person had a complaint. Everybody was raving about how delicious everything was and how amazing all of the employees were. I cannot say this enough but if you have them to cater an event for you, you will not be disappointed! THANK YOU SO MUCH CHEF KEVIN + STAFF! (waiting on some pro pictures to add to this post, will do when they come in) read more

We used Garibaldi's for my wedding, and we loved them! They also catered my sisters wedding a few years back so we knew he would do a good job. We still sampled other caterers too, but once we went and saw Kevin, I was sold. I'm a huge foodie and he didn't make me feel dumb or like it would be a huge burden to do certain things I wanted (I really wanted chicken and waffles on toothpicks during the cocktail hour and others told me that would be a big task, but he just said "yep I can do that!"). The food was SO delicious, all the appetizers were amazing, and he is honestly the easiest person to work with. If you want it, he'll make it happen and if he can't, he will tell you up front and work it out with you. read more

Kevin catered our wedding on 12/29/18 at Lakeside Pavillion. When we first contacted Kevin he was very cordial and set up a tasting for my wife, mother in law, and myself. The food was great and the price was right so we were happy to go ahead with him. We had a varied assortment of appetizers along with Tri tip and chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies and a salad. The day of the wedding the food was served on time and quickly. We had a couple behind the scenes issues but we spoke with Kevin and he made everything right. We were happy to work with him. read more

Garibaldi's food is amazing! It's always juicy and tender with good portion sizes. They catered a small breakfast networking event for me, and my guests were impressed! I've also attended one of their cooking classes and it was a lot of fun. We learned how to cook a complete meal and then ate it at the end. The chocolate mousse was to die for! I highly recommend Garibaldi's Catering! read more

Kevin is not only on point with his BBQ he is one of the nicest people you will meet. I called him on Friday morning with a request for something to serve a dozen guests that evening! Not only did he prepare a mouth watering display of ribs, chicken and tri-tip, he DELIVERED to my door on time, warm and ready to serve. Garibaldi's will be my go to from now on.... thank you so much Kevin, my hardcore BBQ family were speechless at first bite. Garibaldi's for the WIN! read more

Kevin Garibaldi came through for me at the last minute to cater a workshop for about 60 people. When I left a message, he called back right away. I didn't have time to taste test so I had to trust it was going to turn out ok. It wasn't ok...it was awesome! Kevin and his team were at the venue on time and ready to set up and started serving right on time. There was plenty of food with leftovers! :) we were served delectable tender beef with so much flavor, chicken in a sauce that went well with the garlic mashed potatoes. The vegetables were bright and tasty! We will definitely use Garibaldi's Catering again! read more

I hired Garibaldis Catering for my husbands 50th birthday party/Christmas party at our home for around 125 people. The staff was professional as they walked around and served guests. The appetizer/hors d'oeuvres & desserts were excellent and all night heard praises from our guests on how yummy the food was. I really enjoyed working with Kevin on the planning of the event and would definitely hire him again! read more

I found this place by accident, just driving by, and am I ever glad! Authentic Cajun/creole take out. Open M-W and Sundays. I ordered the shrimp jambalaya, and knew I was in the right place when the chef asked me how spicy I'd like it! I like spicy! It was delicious! Chock full of shrimp, chicken, and sausage. I ordered, then waited for curbside in my car. The chef sent me off with a hunk of delicious apple cake, on the house, just for coming in! Can't wait to go back. So many good things to try! read more

Great catering for our company Christmas party! We hired Garibaldi's to cater our Christmas party and had a great time. The food was excellent and everyone enjoyed it. The experience end-to-end working with Garibaldi's was top notch. Kevin was excellent to work with. - Prompt - Communicative - Punctual - Creative - Easy to work with The food was excellent. Kevin did a great job with his menu. We had folks with specific dietary restrictions and Kevin was able to accommodate them. Our guests commented on how much they liked the food and everyone was satisfied. Garibaldi's arrived early as planned to set up. Their presentation was excellent. They cleared dishes and made everything very simple and stress free. We would be happy to have them again. read more

My hospital used this catering service for our Christmas party. I believe the nice reviews on Yelp helped seek this catering service. Kevin, the owner was cutting cold meat with his bare hands and was handing out two tiny pieces of chicken an employees husband asked for extra chicken and Kevin literally tossed on small slice towards his direction. It felt almost as if Kevin and company were cutting corners to make a quick buck and get out. He has erased my review but I don't want anybody else's event to suffer at the hands of Kevin and his company. read more

First experience with this catering service was at a staff holiday party. The overall presentation of the food was nice; however, the reason why I'm giving this catering service one star is because I wasn't able to eat any of the food served that night due to it all being very cold. If I'm ever at another event in which this catering service is used, hopefully I'll be able to have a better experience with them. read more
