Marsail provided a drop-off service for a party of ours with 50 people yesterday, and everyone raved about the food. We had the tri-tip and chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans w/bacon, and mango bean salad. He plans for generous portions, and everything arrived hot, fresh, and delicious. The food was so delicious, multiple people came up to me to get the name of whoever catered the party. Additionally, Marsail was prompt in his responses and so attentive to detail! We had Marshall and his team cater out wedding in June 2021. I can't tell you how much we appreciated his help even after I made many changes to the guest list a week before the event. Marshall was early and organized, and his team was very professional. The food was great, hot and tasty. We had the smoked trip tip and chicken for the entrees, with green beans and garlic mashed potatoes, and a lovely pasta salad to round out the menu for 70+ guests. We booked Marsail and his team at NorCal catering for our wedding in April 2018. I have nothing but good things to say! Food - AMAZING. We went with the smoked tritip, smoked chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, and ceasar salad for our 140 guests. We ad our first of a handful of tastings with Marsail and EVERY ONE we compared back to his food. We had plenty of guests compliment on how yummy everything was and ask for leftovers! Communication - Marsail responded by text, phone, email - and he was super kind and patient through allll of my questions as I planned the wedding. I never felt like I was annoying him and he would always say he wanted to do what we wanted for our day. He was punctual, his team was friendly, they came in, cleaned up and took care of everything for themselves. I cannot stress enough how much you should use Marsail as your caterer. He was the lowest maintenance of all our vendors. This is because he is so well organized and understands customer service. He had never performed an event at our venue and took time out of his own schedule to survey and plan his set up. This was all on his own initiative. If that wasn't enough, the most important reason you should hire Marsail is his food. It was delicious! I may be biased as it was my wedding, but I have literally been to over 50 weddings and it's the best food I have ever eaten at a wedding! To put it in better perspective, we had around 60 no shows and only enough left overs for about 30 people. So our guests liked it too! I used NorCal catering for my wedding reception. They are decently priced, responsive, and had good service. I booked 5 servers for 5 hours. Michael was easy to work with, he responded to my emails quickly, and was able to work with our venue and any special needs. My new husband and I were the last ones to arrive to the reception, but it smelled delicious the second we walked in, so I knew things must be going well. I think everyone (120 people) got their meals in a reasonable amount of time, they served drinks, and cleared tables. We made our own food, and had them heat it in the oven, toss the salad, and pour wine. We did not need a chef. All the servers were dressed in a black shirt and pants, and had a black apron on. Simple & professional. I'd recommend, and use them again if needed. read more

I am so thrilled to leave a five star review of these folks!! Having NorCal Catering at the my wedding was exactly what my guests needed to satisfy their bellies! Marsail, the fabulous owner, was attentive and knowledgeable, and served what could only be classified as a top shelf menu! The tri-tip melted in my mouth, the chicken breast was WHOLE, not all shredded up and greasy like some other places I've experienced. It's juices just gushed out in every single bite!! :) The steamed veggies were smothered in flavorful spices and cheeses, and the Italian potatoes were a dream!!! To top it off, the kids bar with hamburgers, chips and fruit snacks made a perfect addition! Our appetizer bar was a huge hit, and my guests RAVED about the apricot glazed meatballs! We used the Drop Off catering service for an important work meeting today for 20 people. Marcel delivered it right on time, the food was hot and looked and smelled delicious! He provided serving utensils, plates, even buckets of ice for the drinks, everything was taken care of. Everyone complimented the food and there was plenty to go around. I am planning a country style wedding. My Fiance and i have talked to many caterers and so far NorCal Catering has been AMAZING! I didn't really know what to do and was told to set up a tasting to see what their food was like. A couple caterers didn't offer tasting, three or so didn't get back to me, two of them were extremely rude and made me feel like an idiot, and then there was NorCal Catering... THEY WERE INCREDIBLE. I had so many question and gave him basically nothing to go by except we wanted bbq :) He was extremely professional, he gave me great advice, he was personable, he had everything ready for me, got back to me right away, and the food was FANTASTIC!!! This morning, the day after the beautiful wedding we hosted for our daughter, and new son-in-law, I am struggling to find the words to express how grateful I am to have such a fabulous caterer cater our wedding reception. This caterer provides the utmost in professionalism from day one. I almost felt like I was speaking with a favorite uncle who happened to be a famous chef, whenever I spoke with the owner, because he was so friendly and receptive to my needs. The food was absolutely amazing! Our reception featured tri-tip, smoked chicken, potatoes, Italian steamed vegetables and garlic bread. We also had a separate children's buffet, which was fabulous and much appreciated by parents of children who did not care for fancy adult food! The hors d'oeuvre bar put out to keep the guests nibbling while the bride and groom had pictures taken was a big hit! This caterer does a sweet meatball that will blow your socks off! As we went from table to table, at our 150 guest reception, we got positive comments at each table on how fabulous the food was as well as requests to find out who our caterer was. His crew all worked professionally and are extremely courteous. They are well groomed. I almost wish I could find something to say that was negative to balance out this review, but I cannot!
