We had a nice experience here! We booked ahead on line. We seemed to have just beat the rush. This location is in a busy area so there was a lot of people coming in, checking in, or trying to make an appointment. The manager was nice, I'm assuming manager. She was checking everyone in, assigning customers to the other workers. All the other customers were talking with the people who were cutting their hair... our person was the only one not speaking... so that was a little weird. The haircut went well. I mentioned a few things but I didn't hear any response. We will be back but be sure to see another stylist. The place was clean and organized. Most of the staff were friendly. read more

Every time I go there, it seems there is a whole new crew of girls working. This last time was the worst. I came in to get my hair fixed from the girl that cut it 2 days before. It was uneven and choppy around the edges. The girl had an attitude from the start. She made mt hair worse. Never again will I go there. read more

I have always gone to this hair salon. I been going here for the past 6 years. They always did an amazing job! For whatever reason they keep getting new staff. Now I had Lee today. She's quite an older lady. I tried showing her reference photos and she ignored me. She then looked at the notes and saw what I had before I said "well yes that's what I want but" and proceeded to show her the pictures again. She said "no that's not going to look good". She continued the haircut and it didn't look anything like the pictures at the end she asked if I liked it. I said I wanted more layers and face framing pieces. She said "no no you don't need that let it grow out" and proceeded to tell me to go check out. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I walked in and asked for layers and longer bangs. I had 4 reference photos. The older lady asked me if I wanted my bangs above or below my eyebrows. I told her below. I also told her that I have curly hair but I blow dry it straight as well. She decided to cut my bangs very thick and above my eyebrows. Moral of the story don't go here unless you want to be disappointed. I can't wear my hair curly until the bangs grow out and to make things worse she tried styling my bangs like I was Justin Bieber in 2013. I quite literally got in my car and cried after the service. It currently looks like a kindergartener cut my bangs. I will never be returning. read more

First, don't trust the wait time it gives you for the online check in. I went inside when it told me to and still had to wait another 20-30 mins. I'm sure that's not on the staff, but more of an issue with the app. Something to keep in mind. My hairstylist spent the entire time lecturing me...my hair is too long (that is not up to you?), I need to use leave-in conditioner (I already do), I'm going too long between haircuts, my ends are so dry, I'm going to go bald if I don't cut it more often (huh?) I mean, I'm sure she was trying to be helpful, but none of it was said in a kind way- I felt like I was being picked apart and scolded by a judgmental grandmother. I've never left a hair salon feeling so anxious and insecure. And then, bonus, I got more lecturing as she cut my child's hair. As for the haircut itself...not much to say, it was just a simple trim, nothing fancy, but I will say when I got home I realized it was a bit crooked; one side shorter than the other. read more

Just lost 2 months of beard growth here. Needed to remove the couple stragglers and blend my sideburns into the beard by my ears.....didn't touch sideburns at all by ears and took so much weight off my whole beard while I was looking up. Got my beard raised a half inch up so I'll need to grow a retarded 1/2" strip under what's left of my beard or shave it all down and start again. Gentleman beware read more

Well I went there for the first time. The lady who did my hair cut was great. But what got my goat. Was when I went to pay. No told me that for every single thing they do they charge me for it. I don't go get my hair cut at a place like great clips. I thought that you would get a shampoo, cut and blow dry all at 20.00. But was I shocked when I went to pay. Because I don't plan on getting nickle and dime to death. To wash your hair it is 5.00, to cut your hair 15.00 and to blow dry 20.00. Now to that is not right. Now this took place after I sat in my car for about an hour. And they should have told me this before I let them do my hair. I will never be back there again. read more

I have been going to this location for years and have sung their praises and have had wonderful service and results- until recently. Around noon, I walked in, told the girl at the counter I would love a haircut and my hair blown dry and styled. I've been getting the same services there for several years now. The last time I was in several months ago, the girl who cut my hair very unenthusiastically blew my hair dry after cut and it was quite possibly the worst style of my life. I shrugged it off to her having an off-day. Funny enough- the same woman that it was the last time- was only person out of 4 girls standing around that called me. No big deal- I'm a fair person... I wasn't 100% satisfied with her ability last time... But why not try again. She shampooed my hair- after acting huffy when I requested it- and made small talk about hair products. She told me when she was done cutting my hair she would put in curl cream and let it air dry. I nicely reminded her that I wanted it cut and styled. She said 'uh huh' and kept on doing her thing. We got back to the chair and she made a comment about how hungry she was. The girls in the room were talking about the lunch that they had just ordered. The cut itself was extremely quick. She cut off a bit more than I was hoping -but it's hair- it grows- so I didn't really think too much into it. It took her maybe 5 minutes to cut and she finger-combed it out- still wet- and tells me she's putting curl cream in it and she was done. Once again, I nicely reminded her that I wanted it cut and blown dry as I was treating myself for my birthday. She tries to convince me to not have it styled. She once again told me that I was good to go- as I sat there with dripping wet hair. She tells me that if she so much as lifts a brush to it that she has to charge me an extra $35. I let her know that price wasn't an issue- as I was used to how they did their pricing because I've been there before for a cut/blow dry/style previously and was more than prepared to pay. She gave me a look and sighed and told me that she would blow it out really quick- but not use the iron. Let me say at this point that a) I have naturally curly hair that takes well to a straightening iron but is still wavy after a blow-dry and b) right about now was when I started to lose my cool. I told her, very calmly, that I could tell she did not want to do the style, clearly and that she could check me out and I was leaving. It was obvious at this point that her lunch was way more important than a happy client. I came in, let the front desk girl know EXACTLY what I wanted done when I checked in. The little ticket that the stylist (Nancy- according to the receipt) had on her station. I don't understand why, after everything, it was like pulling teeth to get this woman to do a service that not only wasn't complicated- time consuming maybe- but was on the salon's list of services - AND I was paying an up charge for long hair. I have never not tipped a stylist ... And I have never left a hair salon so angry, confused, and disappointed in my life. I ended up paying for the shampoo and the cut ($17) and calling the girls up at Kinna Blow Dry bar to do what Great Clips REFUSED to do. In addition- the awesome stylist at Kinna told me that my cut was rubbish and she could tell it was rushed- all before I told her what happened earlier. So yeah. TLDR; go elsewhere. The establishment is far from professional and Nancy will rush her way through a client for a lunch break. read more

This is my third time bringing my son in for a cut. Usually the chain style hair salons aren't great but the hairdressers here are AMAZING! I'm super picky and 3 times in a row I have had nothing to pick at. And they're fast on top of it. I'm definitely a repeat customer. read more

I HAD long hair that went past my back. I went in for a TRIM and walked out with about half of my length gone. It now sits barely past half of my back. My ends were dead but i specifically told her that I didnt want to cut it off all at once. We probably agreed to about 3-4 inches at most and she took about DOUBLE that. It's honestly so unprofessional in my opinion because you are taking matters into your own hands and doing what you want, against what the customer asked. Im devastated that the hair I grew out for years was just recklessly chopped off by some unprofessional hairstylist. I can't speak for all the hairstylists working there but I can definitely tell you my experience was absolutely unforgettable in the worst way possible. read more

The spiky haired blonde mummy looked right past us and fretted and checked in the teenage girl behind us who came in after us! She's lucky my kids were with me. I took my 5 year old son here for a haircut after my disastrous attempt at home. He hates all things haircut - combs, clippers, scissors, itchy bits of hair. BUT as soon as he saw our stylist April (same name as me, way better at cutting hair) his attitude completely changed and he was THRILLED. She was so wonderful with him - chatting with him and being so patient with his squirmy ways. His hair looks AMAZING and we will absolutely be back to see her The wait for the haircut was less than 5 minutes, the salon was tidy and felt welcoming. Overall a great experience read more

Nope. It is hit and miss with this place. When they get a good stylist, they don't stay. And heaven forbid you want your cut when they are busy! I went in on a Saturday morning, checked in ahead of time, so didn't wait long. I knew EXACTLY what I wanted, told her EXACTLY what I wanted, and even had a photo of EXACTLY what I wanted...by the time I realized what she was doing to my head with the clippers, it was too late. Whoever cut my husband's hair and trimmed his beard, left long hairs up top, completely uneven & trimmed a 1 1/2 inch wide sideburn on one side and a 1/2 inch wide sideburn on the other. It looks like they just let a random person with no experience whatsoever cut his hair. Please make sure your employees KNOW how to do a simple men's cut and beard trim before putting them on the floor. Ridiculous. read more

WOW!!! I just read the reviews! So listen up everybody, there is a new girl in town! Her name is Mary Rose. She cut my hair at a Cuttery on the beach and she did a fantastic job, then she cut my mother's hair, and did a phenomenal job! Then I told my son and he went there and got a haircut from her and he was amazed! Now May Rose is the assistant manager at this store. It took me a while to be able to find her, but finally did. My mother had an operation September and she got released from the rehab on 9 October and I took her to see May Rose and again May Rose did a phenomenal job on my mother who is 88 years old! So I called my son and I told him I found May Rose and he went there and on a $14 haircut he gave her $10 tip! He said dad I was so happy with the haircut, she asked me how I wanted it and all along the way she kept checking with me if I wanted to do this and if I wanted that ! She is just amazing! Soon It will be time for me to get a haircut again, and I can't wait to go see May Rose! And just so you know, I live on the beach 30 minutes away from the store. But I am happy to put the miles on my car and spend that gas just to see May Rose do a wonderful job one more time! read more

This is the worst Great Clips I've ever been too! Both times I've been there they've done a poor job with the haircut and clearly don't care about their work. The 'haircut professionals' are not professional at all - they are stuck up, rude, disrespectful, and pretentious. Stay away at ALL costs! read more
