I went in this past week for a shampoo and haircut with Megan Russell. I had heard great things about her and she didn't disappoint. I asked for just a couple of inches cut off and for a blunt cut. Megan did exactly what I requested. She took her time and did a great job. I loved how shiny and sleek my hair looked when I left. Next time I need another cut, I will go back to her. As far as the salon goes, it was very cute and all the employees were very friendly and welcoming. The salon isn't huge but large enough for four stylists plus a couple of nail techs. Great salon! This is a hidden gem for sure. I have never loved my hair... ever. Went there and saw Nelly. She is a wonderful human being who loves her job. My hair was so damaged on top of extremely thin, frizzy, and truthfully ugly. She gave me a regiment with excellent products to build up the strength and repair the damage. I came back a month later, and she spent so much time and care thinking about the color and how she was going to make it perfect. And she did! She nailed the color and the extensions. I LOVE my hair! Nelly was absolutely wonderful! I went in for a hair trim along with bangs and was nervous as it was my first time here. Nelly didn't rush into anything and ran her fingers through my hair as she analyzed and shared my best options. I was so impressed with how professional, kind and caring she was. She did not brush off any of my concerns, went out of her way to let me know what did and didn't suit my hair, and changed my entire hair in a cut, it's so beautiful and i loved it. Excellent salon! Everyone is so pleasant and Yvonne did an amazing job with my haircut! It had been a while since I had been to a salon and my shoulder length blonde hair was in desperate need of a fresh cut and shaping. I showed Yvonne a picture of what I hoped my layers could look like. She listened very attentively and talked with me about options and some ideas. I love love love what she did! Staff was very friendly however the quality of the work was very poor. As the saying goes "you get what you pay for." I went into the salon on 12/14. Malia although very nice started my appointment late. At first she didn't understand what I was asking for when I said I wanted a pink and white fill. I should have known then not to continue with the appointment. She finished my nails and they looked alright a little messy but okay nonetheless. I was in a hurry because I had my company Christmas party that night so I didn't have time to ask her to fix them. In less than a week I was experiencing lifting so I called to give her a chance to make things right with the work. However I was told she had a personal appointment and that the rest of her schedule was booked other than a 3:00 appointment on Friday 12/21. I explained to her I work 8-5 so I couldn't make the appointment. I asked if there was any way I could come in Saturday or even just a little later on 12/21. She said she doesn't work Saturday and continued to say she was booked. Well based on this experience I will never step foot in that salon again. I can appreciate the prices being low. However I still expect the work to look nice. Considering it's the holiday season I would think the salon would be a little more accommodating to the customer who had come and spent their money less than a week prior. The piss poor work I received on my nails was laughed at by the salon I went to to get them fixed and they said it's not the first time they've seen work like this come from that salon. I have attached a picture of my nails looked like less than a week. If you want your nails done right and you want quality work go over to Nail Spa off of wickham and lake Washington. Super friendly staff and decent prices. read more
