Wow, it is great to finally find a waxing studio in the Melbourne area! Sometimes a girl just wants to get that Brazilian wax done on her lunch break and not sit around in a spa! I would definitely recommend this place- Kim is very professional yet funny and easy going. The place is in a building with a lot of little businesses so if you aren't familiar with the area ask her for specific directions. Her door is on the south side of the building. read more

Definitely MORE than 5 stars! The BEST Brazilian wax I've ever had. I'm from Boston and happened to stumble into Miyagi while on vacation. I definitely needed a lot of work down there and was a bit apprehensive in the beginning. However, upon meeting Kim, I immediately started feeling more calm. She was AMAZING! She used a hard wax called Lycon and I surprisingly felt NO pain. And to top it all off, the price for a Brazilian was SO reasonable. Highly, highly recommend this place and Kim. I was in town on vacation and had an urge to get my first bikini wax. After reading Yelp reviews, I contacted Kim. I did call a few times not realizing that her business is very small (she's pretty much it) and I was calling a cell phone. So after seeing the call, she did call me back and we scheduled an appointment for the next day. I was nervous and explained that this was my first waxing. Kim was very patient and explained the whole process. I have been going to Kim here at Miyagi for almost a year now, and absolutely love her!! She's always super nice, down to earth, and pleasant to talk with throughout the session (I've definitely been in a few other places where there was silence through the entire session--super awkward!). Was so happy to come upon the Yelp review for this salon. I called last minute and was fit in within a few hours. The salon is a small one room pleasant space, very neat and clean. Kim is so sweet and a perfectionist when it comes to waxing!! Her prices are very reasonable, it's nice to pay for services and not the spa atmosphere and building. Got the best brow & brazilian wax I've ever had in all my years of waxing! The hard wax (the kind done without strips) that Kim uses is extremely gentle and efficient. The one room studio is cozy and comfortable, and Kim is both kind and professional.
