We live in a sleepy little beachside community - some people refer to it as Mel-boring. We love living here, but fully admit our style can get a bit small town and boring! Salon Riverside is lucky to have Megan Timm. I've been going to Megan for almost 15 years... Since her first days after hair school. Now that I live in WA, I only have the pleasure of getting her awesome cuts and colors when I visit family in FL, although I've been tempted many times to fly to FL just to get her hands on my hair, she's that good!! She does the best texturing for my thick hair, making it easy to style. And even during the years when I box dyed my hair blond (gasp!), Megan was able to fix it back to a natural sun kissed blonde. Everyone knows that when you have to move to a new location that finding a new hairdresser is probably one of the most painful processes ever! I'm a complete novice when it comes to hair, and after procrastinating for years I finally was set on getting a balayage done, and Gretchen worked WONDERS. I had the best hair transformation in one visit! Jana did an amazing job and it left me speechless. I went in with copper, mixed dye, dead ends; just a mess of a head of hair and she completely made it head turning. I was blown away by what she was able to do with my hair in one visit. Very beautiful balayage coloring and a healthy cut while still keeping my length. Saying this is exactly what I wanted is to say the least. She's pretty much a mind reader. I recently moved to Florida this past year, and have been seeing my old stylist when I visit friends/family. I'm also a cosmetologist, so I can be pretty picky! She did an amazing job. She had a great client consultation, which is one of the most important parts- she seemed interested in what I wanted/did not want. The color turned out fantastic. Her personality is upbeat and down-to-earth, which is nice :). The salon is super cute and very clean. She offered a soda/water during color service.
