Stay away! I was canceled on - twice in a row. I could've cried the second time. 1st time: I made an appointment over a week in advance. The stylist said that she was able to get me in the day before she went on vacation. The day before the appointment she messaged me &let me know that she was cleaning & felt like overdid it while cleaning & had to cancel my next-day appointment because she had broken a rib 2 months prior. I was SUPER DISAPPOINTED, but hey it happens. 2nd time: six months later. I decided to try this stylist again. I messaged her to see if she would be available the next day for a cut & color. She told me yes that she had a 9am slot open & asked me what I wanted to do. I responded & included photos. I didn't get a response from her but assumed that we had an appointment. I woke up the next day, got dressed & drove across town to be at this 9:00am appointment. She never showed & at 9:15am another stylist decided to text her personal phone to let her know that I was there. I finally received a response that her phone didn't receive any of my messages until right then & that she was sorry but she wouldn't be able to take me. This might have been a miscommunication, but I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED & this time humiliated because I had to walk out without any service after sitting there for 20min while the other women were using their reliable stylists. Getting ready when you have an appointment takes work! No one wants to be late so they get everything done early enough to be somewhere on time. It's a mutual respect for both parties to be on time at the appointment & communicate of unable to make it. I got ready for nothing. I am someone who has to research before making an appointment with a new stylist. I want to see their work. I don't want to walk out with a crazy cut & color. If it's bad work then it's throwing money away. So when a stylist cancels on me twice then it's a waste of so much of my time & energy. This stylist might rent her chair, but she represents the salon. I recommend finding a different salon where they don't allow their stylists to play these games with their customers and where reliability & quick response time is a priority. read more

I'm new to the area and trialed out this salon based on all the good reviews. I paid $175 for the worst hair coloring experience ever. Due to Covid, I used boxed red hair dye in my hair for about 6 months. I truly feel like the poor quality of my DIY hair appearance made them write me off as not knowing what quality hair coloring is! Mind you, most of the clients I saw there were upper class mid-age to older woman who stared down at me and made me feel like I did not belong. But back to the hair experience, any salon that allows you to leave there with your hair looking worst than when you came in, will NEVER get my business again. So after a year of not going to beauty salon I went to one this morning. I told the stylist I really wanted to go blonde like a white blonde not a yellowish blonde, more a platinum. I showed her a picture. I ended up with a yellow blonde that when the curl disappeared showed it was uneven on one side so cutting my own hair after a haircut. it could be she was a few minutes late and had not allocated appropriate time for my appointment. read more

I moved here in 2016. The girl that used to cut and highlight my hair has since moved. I began seeing Lisa who was fairly new to the salon herself and it was the best thing that ever happened. I went to Transformations Salon for the first time yesterday and I had a great experience. I was greeted warmly when I first arrived and my stylist Austin came over to greet me right away. He looked at a picture of what I wanted and discussed what he was going to do. He did an amazing job with my hair! I could not be happier with the way it turned out. I've been trying to get this color for my hair for years but could never get anyone to actually follow thru. I would recommend Austin to everyone! I will definitely be going back. read more

They are quite right. You'll get a transformation and it probably won't be what you had in mind. Went in showing them a photo of myself to duplicate. Hair color isn't even close to what I showed them or requested. Told them 2 inches and lost 8. Would pass if I were you. Christie's review is spot on. This Salon is like a "House of Horrors". Very poor service by the staff which makes you wonder if anyone of them actually went to schooling to cut and color hair. Their business practices center around over charging their customers. It never matters what you ask for to be done, the staff doesn't listen and just does what they want which never turns out good. And to add insult to injury, you are then over charged for a hair style you didn't request. I really "kick" myself for going to Transformations, especially when there are much better salons in the area. read more

Nina is the best! she is great with color and with haircut/styling. I feel like she is always up to date with what is going on and her hair always looks great - she wears cute styles and is super fun to talk to. I just love her. my little dog and I always have a good time visiting the salon - all of the girls who work here are really fun,stylish and very nice. this place has a good atmosphere - most of these girls seem to be as good as any big city salons. read more
