Well, a couple weeks of heat and humidity in FLA and I knew i couldn't deal with my hair any longer. I found Biddy, owner of Veda Salon through an internet search. I liked her website and liked her customer service even better...she called me back right away after I left a message, even though she wasn't in the shop that day. She suggested I drop in and we discuss what I wanted to do with my hair before setting an actual appointment. When I showed up, she was foiling a client who had been with her for almost 20 years. "She must be doing something right" i thought. I loved her salon space-she works in an upstairs loft in a business mall-lots of light. We talked about my color and briefly about cut, and she scheduled me for that week. Biddy was amazing!!! She matched my color perfectly and I have the BEST haircut of my life. I had overly-blonde shoulder length hair when i went in and now i have a soft blonde, sassy, short punky haircut which is better than I could have ever imagined. She took her time, cut it carefully, explained my texture and what would work with my hair and how she was cutting it. She even explained how to style my hair (super easy) which alot of stylists don't do and didn't push a certain brand of product at me, which i really appreciate. If you're looking for a great stylist in the melbourne area, go check Biddy out-you won't be sorry!

I'm very pleased with the way Pat cut my hair. The previous stylist that I've been using for about…read more8 years was getting worse and worse. Pat checked out my hair length in different areas finding it too short in some areas compared to the rest of my hair and found how my hair grew in certain areas. Often the week following a haircut tells me even more about the haircut, a week later I was very happy with the haircut.

I'm not hard to please by any means. Sadly I'm finding too my salons with poorly taught hair cutting and coloring stylists. I understand that Florida no longer requires a real person type cosmetology licensing exam with highly experienced cutting and coloring experts serving as judges who can physically watch them through the hair cutting and coloring processes. There are no required internships where the best learning after classroom instruction really takes place. The exam is now a computer generated test and its turning out very poor cosmetologists. I had such a mess two stylists ago that I had to go north to get it fixed. When it happened this time I was lucky enough to see Pat's advertisement. She stated she can work to fix any bad haircut. I decided to call and give it a try before heading out of this area once again. I'm truly pleased with what she was able to do and the path she has mapped out to get me back to where I want my hair style to be. The best part....it looked really great the next day after her haircut too! Another words it didn't look like I just had a haircut. It looked soft, smooth and has very naturally moving lines. Thank you Pat!

I don't carry cash... not $130! Finally figured payment dilemma. Doubt I return. If so, maybe appointment with different stylist.

So I went to a hair salon in Palm Bay called Mane Haus and I seen a guy name Jose. He did my hair…read moreservice and had some breakage while doing it from using too high of a developer. But my hair didn't feel fried or super thin but I have fine hair anyways. Jose didn't use the toner I liked so I came back and met Courtney she did my toner and root melt perfectly, she ended up texting client and letting them know she moved to TALK OF TOWN HAIR STUDIO in SEBASTIAN. So I decided to follow her because she did very well. Well I just went to her yesterday for a high and lowlight with a root melt and I explained I didn't want to be all blonde. She told me that she wanted to bleach all my hair as I haven't had that done before I was a little skeptical but I trusted her because she is a professional. Well she did use a low developer but she ended up putting me under the dryer which I have told her that other stylist I've seen don't do that because they are afraid of breaking my hair. Well 380 dollars later I'm completely distraught, my hair is broken completely off and I can't even put it in a pony talk or even wear it normal. I have to wear it clipped back because it's so embarrassing. I texted her to let her know that my hair was fried off as I examined it at home and she proceeded to tell me my hair is not fried and my hair left in the condition I came in there. Absolutely not. She then kept telling me that I was attacking her with what I was explaining about my hair and that she said she seen no hair coming out in the wash bowl. She told me because she is 1099 that the owner didn't need to be involved with the situation and because she is nice she would put free extensions in my hair. She first told me she wasn't even going to give my money back but once I told her I would like to talk to Ms. Lorna she decided to give half but then she knew I wanted the whole money back. I think at this moment the owner Ms. Lorna should be advised how Courtney spoke with me and this experience was very upsetting and leaving me with hair I can't touch for at least 6 months to a year. I'm so very upset and cried. Courtney left the other salon because she said she had to fix everyone's mess ups and no one owned up to their mistakes. She is doing exactly what she talked stuff about at the other salon.
