I've been debating leaving this review but also putting it out to see if anyone has the same struggle. About 7 months ago i went to this salon and got my hair dyed brown. about a week later i started losing a ton of hair. And this continued for about a month. I never thought anything of it i just assumed it was due to stress because of personal reasons. I went to this salon again 4 weeks ago and a week later started losing my hair again. I debated leaving this review because again not sure why i'm losing hair going here. The past two times i've been i've lost a ton of hair. The salon owner and all of the staff are really nice. You can tell that everyone that works there is very close and supportive of one another. I've been to some salons where they often double book clients and that makes you feel neglected. Mirth does not do this! Taylor listened to exactly what I wanted and she delivered beautifully! I've been here a couple times, and I must say that I always receive an excellent haircut. The staff is polite and accommodating. I typically have my appointments with Taylor, and she is great. As I am never organized enough to schedule my appointment more than a day out, I've naturally had other ladies cut my hair and they've done spectacular as well. From the moment I enter, I know I'm in good hands. As far as men's haircuts go, I don't always know exactly what I want, or how to articulate it; however, the stylists there have excellent intuition and keep my hair looking great. I can't say enough great things about the stylists and environment at Mirth. I've been to Sandy since 2018 and recently had to move and was absolutely heartbroken to leave her. She's super kind and has always done such an amazing job working with me, all of my hair and my trust issues with hair stylists. I want to like this salon so bad because it's so close but after 3 different hairstylists, I'm going to go somewhere else. 1. You will literally be there all day because they have no assistants. 2. The place is super small and uncomfortable. 3. You will never be 100% satisfied with your color. It's always just "decent". Word of advice to the owner: if you're going to keep people there for 5 hours, at least have complimentary mimosas or coffee (even if it's just on weekends). I reallly really wanted to like this salon cause of all the great reviews and beautiful hair pics being posted on social. However, I went to get a cut here and did not came out the way I expected. I told her (Taylor) I wanted layers/bangs to frame my face, but sadly my hair came out to barely any layers, and my bangs is way too short even though I told her I wanted the length to be where my eyebrows are. She cut it ABOVE my brows, and trimmed them way too sparse. Now, I paid $55 (+tips) for no layers and funny short/sparse looking bangs. read more

I previously had my hair lifted very light with no problem and showed pictures of that process 5 years prior. It was also around that period that I did the henna treatment so I don't have that hair anymore. Do a test strand at least if you're not sure of what will happen. I don't know why I have to justify dying my hair with lines like my great-grandmother had light hair so my hair lifts easily. I literally said my hair was red during childhood and my mother has red hair and those are my genes and you still refused to do anything to help with getting the color I wanted. My hair dresser, Sandy, is super nice and explains everything so well. The salon is very clean in an easy to find beachside location. Newish to the area, this was my third salon - my two previous left the area with no notice. They say everything happens for a reason and now feel lucky to have found Mirth. After decades of one process color to hide the grays and more recently one balayage and highlights my hair was turning brassy and orange. Sandy suggested I try bleach and toner and I am loving the look. Bonus: new growth is not as striking and instead of treatments every 6 weeks I can go 8 and likely up to 10. The Salon is clean, has lovely neutral music to suit all tastes and I received tons of advice (which I totally need) for my boldly changed hair style. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment and was accommodated within 5 minutes of entering the salon. For the outcome that this salon produces, I consider it fairly priced. The first time I saw her, she repaired a bad highlighting job from another stylist at a "high end" salon (haha). She not only protected and kept my hair healthy but exceeded expectations and made my hair look natural. She now cuts my sons hair as well- he has super thick hair that shows every slice of the scissors- of course, Sandy rocked that as well. Ladies, you need her! Shampoo bowls are amazing. The aesthetics and decor of the salon is very refreshing, airy, light and modern --something Brevard is missing and needs more of. Poor Customer Service I took my daughter to get a haircut and paid $35. The service was excellent and she (my daughter) loved her new hair...so I made an appointment for my older daughter to get a haircut the following day with the same stylist, SANDRA TUCKER. When I went to pay the bill, the stylist told me that the price would be $75, since my daughter was over 12 years old. I was shocked that she had not mentioned that earlier. I can't understand why the exact same service costs more than double, simply because my older daughter is 13 years old. And I seriously can't figure out why the stylist neglected to inform me of that until after she provided the service. I'm tired of being "nickel and dimed". It's so frustrating! (The stylist did reduce the price to $65 after I questioned her, but it's still ridiculous) I sent a review directly to Sandra via email, hoping that she would try to correct the unfortunate situation. Here is her email response: "Hi there, it was truly a pleasure cutting your girls hair. Im sorry to hear the salon is not in your budget, but the price is salon policy. It is not standard practice to quote pricing to each client, though we happily answer any inquiries prior to your service. I wish you the best in finding a stylist who fits the pricing structure you are looking for. Best wishes, Sandy Tucker" She obviously made some bold assumptions in her pretentious response and her arrogance gave me one more reason why we will not be going to her for any services in the future. These five stars are for Seven Tracey. You absolutely want her as your hair stylist. I regularly went to her when she cut in Chicago, and she saw me through growing my hair from a faux hawk to a bob. If anyone has done it, you know how awkward it can be. Yet, I regularly received compliments on my hair throughout the growing out process. Plus, I always liked my cuts the next day as well as five weeks later. There was never the three day waiting period to like it, and they always grew-in well too. I also knew that if I ever wasn't happy with a cut (which never happened) that I could tell her, and she would fix it. She's so lovely that I'm writing this review when she now lives five states away because if she can't be my hair stylist any more, at least I can spread the word for how lucky you'll be if she's yours. read more
