Square cookie cake with sloppy handwritten inscription

We ordered a large cookie cake for my daughter's 10th birthday. It was decorated as if a toddler had written it in the upper left corner of the cake. The manager who called me back about it said the owners might call me back. The same manager called back 15 min later and said it had been too long (I called 9 days after the party - life is busy!) for them to issue any sort of refund. Honestly, if the owner had cared enough to even see the photo to try to understand the issue or train employees for the future it would have been enough for me to continue business with them. But the owner was unwilling to communicate or seek a resolution. So, here is the cake. Don't go to this location if you want a decently decorated cake.

    Half full or empty???

Sad customer service, I almost feel bad for the kid that did not want to talk due to being distracted and I being the only person in the store. Ordered the largest milkshake, below is the picture of what I received. I guess inflation means prices and not the goods you receive. Horrible customer service and will not attempt going here again.

I ordered a custom cookie cake over the phone, it turned out great and I am shocked by the quality for a GAC.

It was suggested based on the recommendation of my running friend. I absolutely love the decor of the space. It is a French country farmhouse vibe with so many quant decorative details. We had a large party of 12. They have a bunch of different bakery items behind the counter and a selection of omelettes, French toast and avacado. Unfortunately the cafe was not equipped to handle such a large party. We first placed our drink orders and some individuals including myself did not receive our drinks until after our food order. Many times the incorrect food would come out and they could not keep track of what everyone was ordering. They did ask for patience as they only had one cook, but I did see tables with smaller parties receiving their food in a timely manner. Even with the wait the food was still delivered in a piecemeal fashion. It would have been nice if the restaurant had done something to acknowledge our inconvenience. I started with the purple rain which was one of their specialty drinks a butterfly tea with lemon over sparking water with agava. It was quite expensive but tasted very bland to me. I also ordered a small soldier which is a baked egg wrapped with Italian prosciutto. This item was very tasty but very small. I also ordered a quiche with spinach, feta and tomato with farm fresh egg. This item was a bit more substantial compared to other items and was served with fresh tomato, but could have used a salsa. I didn't get a photo of this item. I was a bit blown away about the price point of these items because I spent nearly $35 for brunch and left still hungry. The dining experience ended up turning into an hour and a half ordeal. For these reasons, I was a bit disappointed and this spot was just not my cup of tea.

I've had Gigi's before (in San Antonio) and I don't remember if I truly liked their cupcakes then, but I must have not thought that they were so bad not to return. But I guess now I can confirm that they aren't my favorite cupcake. Reason being is, gasp, there is just way too much frosting...trust me, I cant believe I'd ever say that. I got a strawberry shortcake cupcake and while the cake could have also had a softer texture (felt a little too dense), the frosting was overkill. Don't get me wrong, I always love a cupcake with more frosting than cake, but this one just seemed more off balance than I'd prefer. Yet, there were plenty of customers coming in that day to pick up pre-packaged orders, so it could just be a "me" thing, or maybe the folks of Bee Caves prefer their cupcakes on the sugar high side! In Austin, Cupprimo ranks supreme, followed by a good ol' Sprinkles cupcake. The frosting to cake ratio of Cupprimo's cupcake is comparable to Gigi's, but what makes Cupprimo's better in my opinion

I'm grateful to have a store close enough to my house that delivery is available. The one thing I can say (having shopped at this store for over a decade) is the staff provides the most amazing customer service. Stellar! I recently placed an order to get a few specialty food items to enjoy on the holidays solo. [NOTE: When you shop through Amazon Prime any items shopped as "unavailable" are replaced by an Amazon automatic algorithm and you literally only have 90 seconds to accept or deny via text. Not the store's fault, but very annoying.] On this particular order, the algorithm replaced a meat product with a dessert. Hilarious. Knowing the time restrictions, I immediately called the store. I had called late the previous evening to make sure they had plenty of the product in stock and was assured they did. I was told that there was nothing they could do, as the order had already closed. I kindly asked to be escalated to an e-commerce rep. Kai (and other staff) successfully found the item I desperately wanted for the occasion and added it to my order. :) For any other person, and especially during any other time of year, it probably wouldn't have been a big deal at all. To me this year, during this time, it was and is. So thank you so much Kai et al for helping me make the best time of the holiday season that I planned for myself. Joy to the world! Sometimes the smallest things mean the most. Cheers!

So when I discovered Nothing Bundt Cakes near the Hill Country Galleria, I knew I had to stop in and try it. First of all, the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a very friendly and welcoming staff. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, which makes the experience even better. Now let's talk about the cake -- because that's what really matters. The texture and moisture of the cake are absolutely incredible. It's so soft and satisfying that it's honestly hard to put down once you start eating it. What I loved most is that it's not overly sweet, which allows the flavor and quality of the cake to really shine through. You can tell these cakes are made with care and perfection. If you're looking for this location, it's right next door to AT&T near the Hill Country Galleria, so it's very easy to find. If you enjoy desserts as much as I do, this is definitely a place worth visiting. I'll absolutely be coming back for more!

It's regular frosting. Nice stripes of frosting, so it's not too sweet or thick frosting. But there is a lot in the middle. As you can see in the picture below where I cut it in half. I didn't notice a strong taste of lemon. It's a little hidden. I do taste the raspberry which is wonderful. Very delicious cake. It's moist even though it's a day old now. Holds up nicely in the fridge. I would recommend leaving it out to come to room temperature. But store it in the fridge. As far as gluten free goes. You'd never know the difference. I had a regular carrot cake, and the lemon raspberry gluten free. And there is no weird after taste, cardboard flavor. Just a really well made cake.

My husband had eaten here before, but just tried the empanadas so we decided to come in and have lunch and try some of the other items on the menu. We both had one of the original beef empanadas, and he also ordered the chicken. They are served with a homemade chimichurri sauce, which is absolutely amazing! The empanadas are delicious, they are so fresh, so flavorful, definitely worth the drive. They do serve them individually for $6.50 each which I find a bit high, I wish they had a three pack or a six pack you could get at a bit of a reduced price because it feels crazy spending $13 on two empanadas with nothing else. We also ordered some of the sandwiches that they are known for and have won awards for. My husband went with the beef milanesa which is lightly breaded and served on their toasted bread, which again is the most amazing bread ever! I got the Lomito which is a slow cooked beef steak, simply served with chimichurri sauce on the toasted bread. I can't lie, I could see why it won an award. It was so good, tender, juicy, all of it! I got the half sandwich which came with fries and was $18. I wish I would've just spent a few extra dollars for the whole sandwich. The staff is really friendly and the restaurant is set up with some big green TVs by the bar as well as an outdoor dining area. Definitely massive flavor packed food you must try!
