We stayed for a while after and watched her standing by the counter organizing utensils, so it wasn't a matter of being too busy. My small latte, with only 1/2 shot of espresso was $5.95 that I purchased one week ago. Yes, the prices have steadily increased over the year, but I accepted that due to inflation and competition. What I cannot tolerate is that in one week my drink went from $5.95 to $7.33. I wish my salary followed Winston's unbelievable increase in one week. P.S. Winston's reached out to me and following up on several emails, I now understand why the latte charge had increased. Apparently, I hit the button for tip, not realizing it, and when I questioned the server, she just said that was the price of the latte. All is good. I will get my latte from Winston's again.
