The canister-type oil filter was recently installed and done wrong. The O ring was caught in the grooves of the securing device and not in the o ring groove. They replace the filter element, added oil and got me sorted quickly. No messing around. Also, I had a screw in my tire--which I knew but forgot to tell them about. The technician saw that and repaired the tire without being asked. So, so helpful and done with initiative. All done very reasonably. Awesome! Thank you

I took my Dodge Charger there while home from college on winter break and they did an excellent service. It is a small place but quaint in every way. You know the place is proud and does good service when their front desk area has all sorts of cool posters, old cars, accolades, and memorabilia. I asked if it was getting time for an oil change, to take a look at my breaks, coolant, and exhaust to make sure the welds were holding. Turns out, I only needed the oil change and a little bit of coolant. They didn't try and upsell me on anything. They were very straightforward and extremely quick. Car was ready within an hour. Can't ask for better bang of the buck, bout $110 total after looking at everything. P.S. They filled my windshield wiper fluid up for free. Thanks Olde's!

I was told that if I could make it in before closing in one hour that he could run a diagnostic check. He was kind to ease my mind, at the last minute, that I could address the issue next week.

I stripped my stereo out of the car before he took it, and he had me do that inside the shop with all the doors closed, also had me stand under the lift which wouldn't fly anywhere else. I was nervous to be in there alone with him in the shop so I asked to take it outside, an he started yanking on cables to make sure I couldn't take it anywhere else.

Well turns out, the water pump needed to be replaced, so I had that done, as well as the timing belt. First sign of shoddy work was the fact that when I drove home, the car started losing power to the radio and dash lights. Thankfully, I lived very close to the shop at the time and was able to get it home, at which point I discovered that the alternator wasn't re-connected after the work done. Easy fix for even someone like me, but c'mon, how do you overlook this? Fast forward to a little more than a year and I come to find out that the car is leaking coolant again, and was told by another mechanic that the water pump is leaking again. So either they used a cheap part or didn't put it in properly. I don't have the time to take this car back to this shop to have it done, so I'm just going to have the pump replaced by someone that knows what they are doing.

Desperately needing my brakes done with limited time, I stopped in to get back to the mountains safely. (I normally do them myself & never had any of the situations they caused to my F150). Next thing I know my ABS & Emergency brake lights come on randomly while driving the pass daily. Then my truck starts to wobble. Being in nursing school, I finally made it back up after five months to have them answer why my emergency brake lights were coming on. They said it was my wheel hub. I already paid 1200 and now they want 1000 more to fix this with little resolution to my questionable brakes for the last 5 months - death wobble included. I went to a friend and it was a $100 tie rod and my 4x4 had also been severed. Cut and non-working on top of that. I had to drive my ruck back to the mountains with hazards on and under 45 mph terrified. I got it fixed for $250 - not a $1000 like they quoted. And now I have to fix the 4x4 they severed and my ABS and emergency parking lights that they screwed. Horrible. Untrustworthy. Scam.

Okay Luckily AKISP exists, and in a very convenient location tucked away just north of I-70 and Pecos. This mom and pop shop felt right upon arrival. It didn't feel like the corporate alternatives. It was a true garage with the cool posters and metal cutouts to design. No overly complicated processes either, they just meet you outside, grab the keys and run off with the truck to get you out of there. And QUICK too My diesel inspection was only $75, and it only took 15 minutes out of my precious time I will never get back. So a big thank you to the folks at AKISP for saving me a ton of time and money.
