Service was quick. However, I specifically asked the owner if he had the oil type (0w-40) needed for my car. He explicitly said yes we can take care of you, i agreed thinking they have the oil. I asked specifically for the manufacture's recommended oil. Because the car was relatively new and I'm spending my hard earned money and want to make sure i am covered by my warranty if anything should go wrong. The total time taken was about 30 minutes. When they were finally finished with the oil change, and he made his attempts to up-sale me, we proceeded with the payment. It wasn't until i finished the transaction that he gave me a printout of the work done when i noticed he had put in (5w-40). He seemed to get a little confrontational when I questioned the printout. Telling me that there is no difference between the two oil types. But I don't believe he was taking into consideration my warranty and if the manufacturer will honor my warranty with this discrepancy in the service history... the conversation shifted from the facts of what i purchased and what was put into my vehicle to him going on about having a little faith in him and his business. I just kept going back to the fact that i was charged for something i did not intend on purchasing. If he would have told me he didn't have the oil type i would have found another service. But he didn't afford me that opportunity, he wanted to make a sale and left me with the short end of the stick. The conversation got awkward and escalated to the point where he was raising his tone and saying he is the owner of the business, there is no one above him and that he will be there if I have a problem (in a hostile manner). Overall if you plan on going her please be explicit and make sure they use the product you want before you pay to avoid wasting your hard earned money as I was tricked into doing then passively aggressively coerced out the door, and told my car will be fine. read more

This place is extremely high priced!!!! I went to this place for an oil change I was charged $137 which supposedly included cleaning windows and vacuuming inside of car. When I picked up my vehicle NONE of these things were done. Windows were dirty and vacuuming had not been done. Nope , never going back. read more

I have been using grease monkey for my auto servicing, ever since they opened in Antioch. I was very happy with them up until just recently. I don't know what happened, but it seems that they had a management change. I'm not to pleased though. Carlos was the manager, and I had a really great customer relationship with him. Now, it just is not the same. When I came in for my most recent service, I instantly had,a very bad vibe with the current manager. I will be going elsewhere for my service needs. Oh MAN where should I start??? Let me just say the owner Bobby was amazing . When I called he answered with so much professionalism you could tell he had a smile as he spoke on the phone. He definitely made me feel like I was in good hands from the moment he answered the phone. We spoke about my breaks and I set an appointment. When I arrived at my appointment he greeted me with such a big smile (you don't see that all the time anymore). I asked if I could use his bathroom. He pointed me in the direction of the bathroom and BOY WAS IT CLEAN . It smelled good and everything I mean the entire facility was nice clean and super presentable. Of course it was a warm day and he offered us some nice drinks from the cooler. I felt right at home I mean he had vitamin water, Gatorade, and all that. (Coffee too lol) I mean all I ever seen at a car shop was a .25cent bubble gum/candy machine and maybe some water from the water fountain. Ijs. Let's not forget to mention how well of a job they did replacing my break pads and rotors on my van. I really appreciate the fact that he took the time to even show me exactly why it was so important for me to get them changed that day. Ima call him my mechanic super hero because he probably saved my life that day because them breaks was almost non existent lol smh. Anyway if I could rate this place a ten star I would. It was my first time here and I really needed an oil change after Jeep told me they cannot service my car because they're too busy (per usual). I ended up across the street at Grease Monkey and I was seen right away. Their prices are extremely reasonable and Carlos check my vehicle for other services I made need after I asked him. He said I just needed an oil change. I appreciated the fact that he didn't try to hustle other services like most places. They even cleaned my windows and vacuumed my carpet. This place is amazing! I came here on Saturday normally busy, but today it wasn't. They are very friendly and the wait time is displayed when you come in, I love transparency. They clean your windows which is so nice, the technicians also check your fluids and recommend when you come back to 'check' your oil (again customer service is good). They have 3 work stations for cars. Air conditioning in the building for waiting, and tables out side as well for waiting. It's very clean and smells nice inside too. I will be coming back and will definitely recommend them to my family! read more

Unfortunately under this new management there has been 2 price increases. Before this new take over an oil change was $44. The 1st time I had an oil change with this management it was $64 now a whopping $80 plus. Grease Monkey has excellent service. I gave them four stars instead of 5 because they smeared my windows when they cleaned them. I went to Pinky's Klassy Carwash and my windows stayed visible for weeks until the Grease Monkey service. I can't clean my own windows correctly for the life of me. I don't know if it's my technique or products I've used but I say all this to say if they are going to clean windows they'd get a five star from me next time if they take some tips from a cashing services like Pinky's Klassy Carwash on cleaning windows. read more

1 Star for the speed. 1 Star for no appointments. 1 Star for free coffee. Really don't understand all the rave reviews. Other than that, this place is just ok. Went recently for an oil change. Mentioned the yelp discount when I walked in (which as of this review is still up) only to have the counter guy say he wasn't going to honor it as "yelp was discontinuing check in type discounts." Surprise, it's still available. SHADY AF if you ask me. I think he just wanted to do away with it. Whatever. Offered a lower discount in lieu, otherwise probably wouldn't of offered anything if I had not been stern. Place reeked of weed, probably the clientele that day, just really off-putting for a first time experience, was a bit dirty and the door was annoyingly opening and closing due to winds, causing their chime to constantly ding. Will NOT recommend to anyone. Just really bothered by the LIE of saying yelp was doing away with check-in discounts yet the deal is still LIVE on this page, wtf dude?! I went in for the very first time on a Saturday morning to get an oil change. The customer service was great. The guy at the front explained everything to me which is wonderful. To make it even better, I was out of there quicker than the other places even with several people ahead of me. The prices are very reasonable. I used to take my car to the dealership but the prices were too ridiculous for a simple oil change. I will definitely come back here for my regular oil changes. I was looking for a place to get my oil changed, so I called Grease Monkey which wasn't too far from where I live and the manager told me to come by. They changed the oil to full synthetic and checked all the tire pressure on all wheels, and cleaned the windows of the car and got the interior vacuumed. I brought my car in with an unusual occuance that happened to me. I had a dead rat or something caught in the undercarriage. I asked them to check to see if it was causing any dammage because it wasn't running right, you can hear this metal clinc" every few seconds. They not only lied about the animal and told me nothing was in there, but also said that the car was running fine. So I had them change the oil. There is still a dead animal in the engine,and a person that doesn't know anything about cars would be able to tell there is something wrong with the car....The oil change was fine so far .... I understand it's gross but for a business to lie to me to avoid the work is incomprehensible. read more

Woke up early to wait in line for a usual mechanic type place (so I thought), and then I arrived to Grease Monkey and really was attended to greatly. All of the mechanics where extremely open and friendly. They had a lot of information and didn't have the usual arrogant attitude. They took the time to really look at my car, listen to my problem, and explain what I should and may be able. They didn't try and sell me on anything and took the time.
