Loved the ambiance, service and food!! The sourcing of food was incredible and meaningful. We had the Mr. S cocktail and an Old fashion that were not pictured but heavily enjoyed. This is the best spot for an intimate dinner or a hang out with friends over charcuterie and everything in between. Salmon, spicy pasta, and elk rack were thoroughly enjoyed. The cocktail menu is inventive and it's clear they care about their craft! The homemade pasta was perfectly done with a simple, yet flavorful red sauce. It's got it's wilderness, hunter/gatherer vibe going on inside; it's fairly inviting, though there are some random decor elements that throw it off a bit. What was disappointing was the service; it took about 20 minutes for us to get our drinks we ordered before we were seated. The server we had asked us oddly obvious questions, e. g. Would you like me to clear this glass (that was empty and had been moved to the edge of the table) or, very soon after we received our starters, "Can I bring over your mains or should I give you some time?" It made things kind of awkward throughout the meal. read more

The location was reserved for a grad party & we were told there would be grazing charcuterie boards, salads & cupcakes. The price was ungodly for what we received... $30 per person. Grazing Oregon did not live up to the price. Initially we moved a few tables together so that family could sit together. The owner informed us that the tables would "need to be moved back because the building was built in the 1920's and the flooring is not stable enough in certain areas to have a table on it." One guest wondered if the floor was secure enough to hold people? Very odd. The charcuterie was pretty disappointing and did not mirror any of the charcuterie boards on display of their website. Ham, Salami, Roast Beef, ONE kind of cracker, minimal fresh fruit, nuts in the shell, good assortment of cheese, but nothing was labeled to tell what you were eating. While guests were in line to put items in their plate, the owner broke a bar glass that was over the charcuterie board. She leaned through the bar and picked pieces of glass from the charcuterie board but never came over to look directly at the charcuterie board. Several guests expressed being nervous about eating after this. She ignored the concern. The Salad was basic & only one option provided. This was not worth $30 per person. They shut down all drink options besides liquor or water. So, they were able to serve a Rum & Coke, but were unable to provide a customer with a soda. Also, no coffee, tea or soda water. This was clearly attempt to drive up the price on expensive drinks. I definitely would not recommend this establishment. read more

I attempted to go to Brick and Mortar at 11am on a Sunday and quickly abandoned that plan after walking past a growing crowd, so I decided to try Grazing Oregon and I cannot stress enough how happy I am that I did! From the hostess, to the bartender, the unique drinks and the delicious pesto avocado breakfast that I ate every single bite of! I recommend forgetting the hype and indulging in this place. The atmosphere is inviting and thoughtful and it has easily become one of my favorite places in Albany! read more

If you want an exciting and delicious dining option, I highly recommend Grazing Oregon. My wife and I arrived at 5:00 with a reservation, and the place was empty. By 5:20, that place was full so we were glad we called and got a reservation. I ordered A Ghost of the Forest old-fashioned cocktail and it was quite delicious. I am a fan of the old-fashioned style of cocktail and this is a nice interpretation of the genre. The subtle pine notes made for a tasty and surprising experience. We ordered a Sharing is Caring board and a Blazin' Burrata plate. Both were fresh, interesting, and tasty. I know that the joke going around is that Charcuterie is really adult Lunchables, but this exceeds "lunchable" status. The board included Swiss cheese, a figgy boursin, and a multi-pepper hard cheese that was wonderful. There were two salamis and a load of nuts, dried fruits, and olives. I am a picky eater and there was nothing on the board that I didn't like. The restaurant itself is small but comfy and pleasant. Rachael our hostess and Angel our server were fabulous. They were both friendly and knowledgeable. This isn't the cheapest meal you will have, but it will be enjoyable, fresh, interesting and worthy of return visits. read more

We have been excited to try this place since it opened and decided to go to celebrate a birthday, which we noted in the reservation, but was never mentioned by the staff (no big deal, but why ask). Arrived 5 minutes before our 6 pm reservation and were made to wait until exactly 6 pm. Odd, since numerous tables were open with Reserved signs. This happened with later arrivals who waited on the entry bench until their exact reservation even though their tables were ready. Bountiful cocktail menu and interesting meal options. Beware - their 1 and only beer was already sold out at 6 pm... Odd for any restaurant in Oregon. Two of us opted to share a Charcuterie meal of "3 cheeses, 2 meats", one ordered salmon and the other had the pesto pasta. There was nothing to indicate what meats and cheeses there would be on the charcuterie and I asked the server if I could get more info and she said that she would tell me. But after completing our ordering, she just walked off without providing any details. The wait for food was a bit lengthy which gave us time to look around and see that just outside the kitchen was a very large bag of Kirkland Dog Food. No joke. Didn't even try to hide it. At least it appeared closed. Not the look I would go for if it was my "fine dining" restaurant. The $38 charcuterie board consisted of two salamis, ripped apart cheddar, sliced manchego (no 3rd cheese), pistachios, dried apricots, prunes, a quarter of a pomegranate, and a couple blackberries. It was fine but small for the price and not very unique - a finer board can be created with items from Trader Joe's. The salmon dish was described in the menu as coming with rice and veggies and would be finished tableside with a lite wood smoking. Nope. Salmon arrived plated, no tableside finishing, sans rice. At 6:40 pm they had run out of rice and substituted pasta without asking, just unapologetically stating it as the plate was set down. Good thing we aren't gluten free. The salmon was dry and underwhelming. The pesto pasta was the best of our selections. We were barely checked on but the table behind us must be known to the staff as they had check ins frequently and were told about a secret menu. Whatever smoked item they ordered received the tableside smoke treatment from the same server we had. The Lemoncello Drop was tasty, but no reason to order a second cocktail if you don't talk to a server until your meals are finished. We won't be back. It was a real letdown of an overpriced experience. And the dog food was quite concerning. read more

Really wonderful visit. We came on the celebration of their new 2 yr anniversary in their new location on Ellsworth Street downtown. The location is wrong on yelp. We had a wonderful board, as well as cocktails. Finished with bananas foster. Really a beautiful experience and would highly recommend. read more

Fresh local foods with a few international influences on the menu. A full bar, including a wide variety of mocktail options. Attentive staff, great location. This was a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was relaxing. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. We started with hibiscus iced tea. Then we tried the mocktails. Lavender pink something and a sparkling ginger rosemary in a tall glass. Nicely refreshing. The smoked board had cheeses, meat, freeze dried shiitake mushrooms, olives and dried fruit. Smoking the cheese and meat under glass at the table was a technique we had never seen. We will be back for another adventure in the very near future! I had really high hopes for this place. We ordered a board and paid for it a week in advance with a scheduled time for pick up. It was for a Friends memorial service. When we went to pick up they were closed without notifying us. After not returning my messages I called and was told we would get a gift card for our board and a refund. Two weeks later nothing was refunded or sent to us. After numerous phone calls finally got a refund over a month later but was never sent a gift card. It's not the gift card, it's the overall principle and lack of care I felt from the team. I'm glad to have my money back but overall a bad experience. read more

My family and I went to this cafe? Restaurant? Not too sure. About two weeks ago. There was 6 of us and we all shared roughly the same input on our visit which is why we decided to write a review. It's a bit long because all 6 of us are adding in our input instead of making multiple low star reviews. The owner (and chef) was not good at constructive criticism what so ever. Very big red flag especially for a small business. She really felt that she needed to justify why she didn't have certain items. When we asked for something simple she became highly defensive. We had two people with seed allergies, we made it clear we cannot have anything that contains seeds on their board and once they were served, that wasn't accommodated for. My nephew briefly brought it up and was immediately turned away, the server suggested not eating the items with seeds and wouldn't swap out items that couldn't be eaten for items that could. That was poor service alone. The drink/bar area needed some work as well. Ridiculously slow.. we had finished our meal by the time our drinks were done. I just was not impressed at all. But to top our experience off, we overheard the conversation with another table and the owner. I won't provide details because it was just tense and uncomfortable after the hostility shown. But we truly hope they adjust their ways and figure out what customer service and basic decency is. For charcuterie, I enjoy Sweet Red, especially the customer service and will continue going there for charcuterie and wine. If you're looking for a local high quality restaurant my family and I suggest sybaris. All within 1 mile of this place and worth the money. I will say the bread and butter was good. But I wouldn't pay $15 for it again read more

I can't even begin to describe what a fantastic meal we had here. High quality meats, cheeses, fruits, olives and all with a story about why they were hand picked to be a part of the menu. I don't even really like cheese yet I found myself debating which cheese I liked the best because they were all so good. Also great prices on great wines and a ridiculously good dessert.
