I was in Grayling this morning and had 45 minutes to spare before a business meeting, so I decided to head downtown and find breakfast. I wandered into the Grayling Restaurant and immediately felt at ease. The atmosphere is exactly what I hoped - just like the northern MI family restaurants from when I was a kid. Awesome service and food, good prices... It fit the bill perfectly. I'll be eager to find another excuse to pass through Grayling at breakfast time. :) read more

Best place to get breakfast anytime of the day . Hot right out of the kitchen . Always stop when we are traveling up this way .

Stopped here on our way to Detroit from Cheboygan for lunch. Great food and service! They were packed on a Sunday, but food came out quickly. They were still serving breakfast around 1 pm, so the kids were happy about that. We would definitely stop here again! read more

Today when we stopped in the gravy on the biscuits tasted canned Everything else was okay, but that "WAS" the reason we liked this place so it was hard to get past that horrible sausage gravy, won't be making that 25 min ride any time soon- Waitresses were polite as always! read more

I've only been here once, but it was such a lovely and charming experience. My friends and I came in for a hangover breakfast, and man did it hit the spot! Our meals were heart-warming, and the historical clippings on the walls were pretty neat. This place looked promising. It seemed the place was full of people who judging by the snippets of conversation I overheard were local. On vacation, we stopped at the Grayling Restaurant because of its diverse menu. Being gluten intolerant, it is often difficult to find knowledgeable wait staff and/or gluten free options in restaurants, especially in Northern Michigan. We were amazed to discover that this small town restaurant is very accommodating to patrons with allergies. In fact, they have a separate room in which they prepare dishes for those with allergies. The restaurant was quite busy, with pleasant and competent staff and the food was very good. read more

This doesn't matter any more, as the resturant will be closing Sunday, September 30, 2012. My family and my husband's family have been coming to the Grayling resturant for years and years! I can't believe it is closing! I have come to know the waitress and their personalities, their families......just a sad day for me...as I know it is for them. We have never had a meal at the resturant that wasn't good. Best of all was the Hashbrown omlet! Not a better breakfast EVER!!!!!!!Also the chicken tenders were a favorite of mine. Loved the honey mustard... No one made it the same....I don't know where I will have breakfast in Grayling anymore.... This is so sad............. read more

Their pecan pancake was the best I have ever had! The diner has an unpretentious and homely atmosphere.

Located right in downtown Grayling on the Main Street. Fast, friendly service. Generous portions made to order. Ordered the Western omlette with rye toast--it was essentially an egg burrito with plenty of veggies and crisp homefries on the side. read more

This restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch until 3pm. The food is good! We both had a salad with grilled chicken, corn, black beans on greens with a mexican salad dressing. Grilled warm flatbread was served on the side. The waitress was friendly, helpful and refilled my water with lemon several times. The restaurant is spotless.
