It would be easy to pass this little gem up in favor of more trendy eateries closer to a touristy up-north town, but that would be a big mistake. The Farmer's Table is conveniently located just off the Wolverine, MI exit of I-75. It looks like it may have once been a gas station; very unassuming building with a huge parking lot for all sorts of vehicles, trucks and RV's. Once you step inside, the magic happens. Cute and cozy, filled with charming little tables and a mercantile area, the friendly staff will greet you and make you feel at home. Their menu is varied with many entrees made from locally sourced ingredients. This concept feels fresh and healthy, though the entrees themselves feel like grandma's cooking. Not fancy or trendy, but hearty, flavorful home cooking. My husband chose a pork chop, baked potato, corn and side salad. The photo of the pork chop looks juicy and tender; it was just that. He said it was the best pork chop he's ever had. The apple glaze was really good. I chose the chicken cordon blue, to sample something I would not make at home. It was rich, a tad salty yet very good. The side corn was amazing, as was the apple slaw. Next time I'll ask for mashed potatoes without the dark gravy. We took a small fried raspberry pie for dessert on the road and enjoyed mulling the through their homemade bakery items. The prices were very reasonable. We will be making this stop a regular on our way up north. Look forward to trying their brunch items, which get raved reviews. read more

What a gem!! This was a crowd pleaser (party of 8 with 50% kids) everyone left full and so so happy!! Clean building, clean food, perfect vibe. Our server Ashley (beautiful locks) was kind and communicated so well. My 10 year old said "best BLT of my whole life", homemade chips were crispy perfection, and the zucchini fries you must try!! Our first visit to the Farmers Table was March 2025 when we were looking for property in the area. From our first visit to our most recent a couple weeks ago, we have felt welcomed, the food is always phenomenal and we love trying the specials. The desserts are Fantastic, it's too easy to be convinced to grab dessert after, if even to take to go! Friendly service. Looks like groups of regulars come here to eat. The menu is fairly large. We chose to split the house salad, which was a spring mix with cukes, grape tomatoes, red onions and packaged croutons. They were kind enough to give us each a different dressings. We also split the hot beef sandwich. It was tender, shredded pot roast with jarred or packaged gravy ( still blobs of the mix on the plate) served on white bread. The meat was very tasty. Rustic mashed potatoes ( skin on) and a bowl of corn were the sides. Amish fruit hand pies and frozen meats from a farm along with jars of pickles, fruits and dressings were available for sale in a small market inside the restaurant. read more

We had the dog so we were unable to go in, but looking inside it was cute and clean, very busy. Their workers had smiles on their faces, that's completely unusual nowadays. Food: Waffles, delicious. I don't give many 5 stars - this is one of them. The Farmers Table looks like a dive in the middle of nowhere but inside the farm to table, classic food choices are beyond great. It's less expensive than the same food in Petoskey or Boyne, and realistically better quality. Breakfast today was wonderful, skillet meals and coffee, fresh toast and homemade jams. Lunch and dinner ingredients are from their local farm and other farms in the area. Friendly waitresses - a little slow for food coming out but it's a small kitchen so u have to give them some grace since it's real cooking, no microwave. Loved the cozy and warm feel of the place. It felt like when you step into your grandparents home and see all the nick nacks they have collected over their life. If your willing to try something new I recommend the frog jelly on your toast. Me and my family loved it so much it was delicious. The service was immaculate. We have been here many times and had a good experience. Unfortunately, last night was not good. It was my birthday and I suggested we go to the Farmers Table. I wanted to order a steak. When we sat down, the restaurant was not crowded. We were waited on right away and we both ordered NY Strip steaks. It took about 15 minutes to get our salads and then the server came out and said they only had one steak left. How does that happen? My wife changed her order and we ended up waiting another 45 minutes for our food to arrive. During that time, we watched other groups who came in after us, get their food before us. They even commented to us about it. The food was ok, but the service was horrible and we were not offered any discount for the inconvenience. It will probably be awhile before we give them another chance. read more

Excellent food! We both had smashed burgers but one had zucchini fries and the other sweet potatoe fries, everything was amazing! The pistachio almond cake and the peanut butter pie was so tasty! Happened upon this place after spending the morning in the park. We were hungry and got lucky! The food was delicious! Ham, cheese, mushroom omelette and corn beef hash. The ham was from their farm. We were in town on vacation and our group of six came here for dinner one evening. They have a nice large variety of dinner items and most of us got the burgers which were juicy and good. Come to find out all of the food and vegetables are locally grown and grass fed at serendipity farm. They had a variety of condiments to choose from and their variety of lemonades are the best that we took some home. They are a must try and have only been serving dinner for two weeks. The only person in our group that did not order a burger had the pot roast, and said it was delicious. Burgers were only a small part of their menu. I had heard about this place and wanted to try it. I told a friend about it and we stopped in while passing through. We both got the Smash Burgers. They were amazing. GREAT flavor. They had a wonderful selection of condiments. Aside from traditional ketchup, they also had a jalapeño ketchup and a bacon ketchup. Fresh stone ground mustard came on the side with the burgers. I'm definitely stopping in again. Looking forward to trying something different next time. It was real hot outside that day, and a wee bit warm inside. But, didn't care about that.
