    Dessert menu - partial

Food was excellent. The co-owner/bartender was very engaging and helpful with recommendations on menu items. The broccoli cheddar soup was so amazing. Ate it too fast to take a picture.

LOVED Forx!! Little hole in the wall but INCREDIBLE food, felt like I was eating a home cooked meal. Grilled chicken caesar wrap & chips. Wonderful. Fast & friendly service!

We got here after spending some time at Boyne Mountain and trying to find some good diner food. My husband loves this place. They are proud of their menu and everything is homemade. My husband got the special of the day, a prime steak open sandwich, and I got the Walleye. The steak sandwich is excellent, while the Walleye is a bit oily. They have great mashed potatoes, and the chipotle sauce is a hit.

It takes a lot for me to review a restaurant because usually they aren't worth the time and effort. I can almost always walk away saying "I could have made that and probably made it better". Forx changes that! INSANE food. Everything is homemade and you can actually taste the soul of the person cooking. It's not some teenager in the back dumping something into a deep fryer. It is someone with an insane passion for making food the way they would want it to taste. The result is astounding. Great service, very timely, very attentive. Restaurant is cool, low key, not noisy. It's all about the food. Forx serves high end food you'd expect from a much bigger City, in an unassuming rural pass through town. We won't be passing through Elmira ever again without stopping here for this outstanding restaurant. Don't walk, RUN here!

    The best meatloaf ever!

Food was fantastic! Best restaurant experience we've had in a long time. My husband said his meatloaf was the best he's ever had, and my Cobb salad was wonderful. Worth a drive from wherever you are! Service was great, and a really fun atmosphere.

After hitting the Skybridge at Boyne Mountain, we were heading toward Gaylord on M-32. We were NOT looking forward to the same old chain restaurants in town but thought that's all there was ahead. Passing through Elmira, I almost blinked and missed this place. I'd much rather risk my dinner at a local diner than have the same old stuff I could get at Any Other Town, USA. This could have been one of the best dinner choices I've made in a long long time. I believe the owner said they'd only been open since May (2023). It's not a big place, but it's very clean, and very friendly. Within minutes I felt more like a local than an out-of-towner. I ordered myself a Trifecta which is a blend of bison and lamb, topped with bacon. My GF got a pulled pork sandwich topped with slaw and Carolina mustard. We close things out with a slice of Andes chocolate mint cake. Like I said, the place was spotless, including the bathrooms. The prices were what I would expect, and certainly worthwhile. I don't know where they got their recipes from, or if she came up with them on her own, but she certainly has perfected them. My only complaints are that this place is too far from home, and that slice of cake was way too big for the two of us!! I'm definitely stopping by if I'm even remotely in the area.

Forgot to take a picture of the loaded fries before eating! This was $7 on the happy hour menu and DELICIOUS.

The Farmer's Table is conveniently located just off the Wolverine, MI exit of I-75. It looks like it may have once been a gas station; very unassuming building with a huge parking lot for all sorts of vehicles, trucks and RV's. Once you step inside, the magic happens. Cute and cozy, filled with charming little tables and a mercantile area, the friendly staff will greet you and make you feel at home. Their menu is varied with many entrees made from locally sourced ingredients. This concept feels fresh and healthy, though the entrees themselves feel like grandma's cooking. Not fancy or trendy, but hearty, flavorful home cooking. My husband chose a pork chop, baked potato, corn and side salad. The photo of the pork chop looks juicy and tender; it was just that. He said it was the best pork chop he's ever had. The apple glaze was really good. I chose the chicken cordon blue, to sample something I would not make at home. It was rich, a tad salty yet very good. The side corn was amazing, as was the apple slaw. Next time I'll ask for mashed potatoes without the dark gravy. We took a small fried raspberry pie for dessert on the road and enjoyed mulling the through their homemade bakery items. The prices were very reasonable. We will be making this stop a regular on our way up north. Look forward to trying their brunch items, which get raved reviews.

The food is consistently incredible, the service is wonderful, and the atmosphere is one of my favorite parts....especially being right on the water in downtown Boyne City. The Vienna pancakes are AMAZING, the brunch menu has so many great options, and I genuinely have a hard time convincing myself to order something different because I already have so many favorites. This is one of those restaurants I recommend without hesitation anytime someone asks me where to eat in Boyne City. If I could give more than five stars, I would.

I'll be honest I've never had a Chicken Marsala before (NOT Masala if you missed that "r" in there too). It turned out to be an interesting one for me. Good balance of sweet and sour against the creaminess and the earthy fragrance of the mushrooms. The chicken breast was very tender. The broccoli, though, was tough to chew, and the fettuccine was a bit bland for my taste. I wish the pasta had caught more of the sauce. The Sweet & Spicy pizza was the highlight. Our server told us the wood-fired pizzas are their biggest hit, and I see why. Every bite brought a different note of heat and sweetness. Highly recommend. We also had the Sangria Blanc and the escargot, neither of which was very memorable. The escargot didn't taste like much beyond garlic butter, though that butter turned out to be a great excuse to work through the free bread.

The establishment is very small, so it makes sense that it takes a while to get a table. But, it took about 20 minutes for someone to even come take our order, and even then they only came because we flagged them down. Please TASTE the food you're serving, I can assure you, it's not fine, it's beyond nasty. Here's a tip, when cooking pancakes they should only be flipped one time. You pour the batter in 1 spot only and it will evenly spread, wait until it bubbles all-over the surface, then flip it. That's it! When you flip it over and over, it removes the light fluffiness and turns it into a crispy taco shell, like the ones you served me. Also, on over easy eggs, the egg yolk is supposed to be runny the whites are not.

We shared everything and still had leftovers. We were literally fighting over the last bite of that cinnamon roll French toast... I lost. But that's okay because I took my butt right back the next day and ordered a full serving all for myself! Now, the salad wasn't my favorite, but I do want to say this. With everything that's been in the news lately about fresh produce and people being cautious because of recent food safety concerns, I was paying close attention. This salad looked freshly prepared not dumped out of a bag which made me feel much better about ordering it. The real star of the show, though, was that Cinnamon Roll French Toast. It was absolutely worth going back for! The people in Gaylord are some of the sweetest you'll ever meet, and the staff here fit right in. Everyone was so welcoming and kind.
