Man if you love a great Coney Island, this is a must stop in Charlevoix. Tucked on a side street with just 3 parking spots it's a mini Coney heaven. Perfectly steamed buns with a delish roasted dawg slathered with tasty chili, sweet chopped onions & pure yellow mustard! Their fries are fresh, crispy but fluffy innards. They carry loads of canned pop (Verner's if you please) but also offer fountain service. Quick, clean & friendly servers who hassle their sumptuous treats from the one man kitchen to your booth. Oh my this place is great. I just walked in here for a to-go burger. The man that served me was really nice and understanding. While I was waiting, I was admiring the decorations all over the restaurant. They even have a little Pac-Man display! I finally got my food and was really impressed with the taste and quality. I truly RAVE RAVE RAVE! We were in town for 6 weeks and ate there 8 times. OUR FAVORITE! The staff and owner are so super friendly and make sure that you are happy with everything all the time. Saw Hotdoggers on yelp and a coney dog sounded amazing! It did not disappoint. I got the Detroit and the Flint. Both were amazing but if you were going to get one over the other, I would say the Detroit. Flavor was spot on and was not as messy as the Flint. We also got the cheese fries. I'm originally from Flint and they have the closest coney sauce to the Flints original...Angelos. Just it's a long drive now since they have closed the one in Petoskey and just closed the one in Bay Harbor. Nice employees somewhat fast just depends on how busy that they are do to made to order and the fresh fixings! Thanks for the great dogs !! read more

I am assuming it was the owner I spoke to when I went in for the first time, he was very polite and welcoming. The service was fast. I got my dogs to go and wow. Owned by Eric and Connie, Charlevoix natives. I stopped in while riding my bike to town to do some errands. I decided to drop in to get a quick bite to eat before heading home. When I walked in I noticed the power was out. Eric and Connie were undeterred. They immediately advised although their power was out (along with the rest of downtown at the time), they were more than willing to make me a meal. I got the chili cheese dog and a can of Coke. The hotdog was great. Eric even offered an extra dog on the house due to the inconvenience. I honestly did not feel inconvenienced due to the hospitality they showed me. They are also proud LEO supporters which was awesome :). Five stars for sure. Will come back again with a bigger appetite next time. Thanks again Eric and Connie! read more

They have a super delicious veggie dog. It's a homemade veggie burger with pickled asparagus and cherry mustard on top. I was apprehensive about it, but now I think I have to go once a week. My dad says it's the only place to get a good Flint coney dog, and my mom loves the Detroit coney. The staff is super nice and personable. The place is tiny and hidden. A total gem. read more

Terrible service. Was with family members and though a larger group it took 3 hours to get our food and served others before us. It is understanding it can take time, but it's a coney place - get there, order, then be served (before people who come in after). Good food but the longest I have ever waited for some eggs, hashbrowns, and toast. Could have just told us it would have been too difficult for them to make breakfast food so then we can do something else. We were right by the the movie theater too so I recommend to order then hop on over there before your food gets ready. read more

Best french fries in Charlevoix, possibly Northern Michigan! I don't like hot dogs, but you'll get a feeling of how good they are from other reviewers. But don't let the name of the place fool you, their menu is pretty big. So it's usually the gyro for me, but their Reuben is excellent as well. I'd rather go here than any of the 'fancier' more expensive places. The owners work very hard to make their guests happy. Wish they served beer, but if they did I'd never leave. read more
