Walked into a unique decorated restaurant on the edge of town There were all different tables and chairs. Kinda fun. Ordered a hot tea and received a carousel of teas to choose from. Best ever. The Monte Crisco was great tasting and the chips were yummy; my husband ordered an omelette. It was large and delicious. The waitress was right on top of things. We will return when we are in the area.

CAUTION! BEWARE!! If you're seriously not a fan of outstandingly hospitable service and delicious food then stay away. As per usual, my indecision kicked into full gear. Despite the menu having the quintessential All American Diner fare, this place still had it's own spin on things. Our server was patient with me and made great recommendations. I'm the end, I ordered the Reuben sandwich with onion rings. My husband ordered a jalapeno cheese burger and our son decided on a regular cheese burger. As tasty as that bite was of my husband's burger, I'm focusing more on what I got! They killed it with that Reuben! It was a bit messy, but if it doesn't get all over your face, it's not worth it!! The sandwich was served with a generous hand carved portion of corned beef on perfectly toasted slices of rye bread accompanied by the typical fixings that make up your rueben. The best part, though, is that the meat was from a local meat specialty shop. Don't even get me started on the batter for the onion rings and jalapeno poppers!! *Chef's kiss* You're going to have to try it to see what I'm talking about!! If you're that person that disagrees and think it's crap. Good. Gtfo!! More for me!! 10/10 would recommend!! Support local businesses!! Also, after reading certain negative comments from Elaine and whoever else, I need to add that the menu does in fact state 'no sharing". At first I thought," wtf is that?", but then I realized that since it's a small town business, customers need to consider that the workers need to make a living too. Ask yourself why such a rule has been implemented!! It's not the restaurant' s fault that Little Ms. Elaine failed to read the menu thoroughly. I live down state as well and travel often, so I'd like to think that my basis of comparison is quite broad. It's a chill little place to go but as always, make sure you do read the menu properly. If your eyes seem to disconnect from your brain like Miss Elaine's, I'm sure asking your server all your wonderful questions could avoid these types of situations.

Wonderful! The food is delicious and the portions are large! There's lots of variety and the staff is friendly. The restaurant is clean. The best part is they have the best prices in town! They're open from 4:30 AM until 3PM, so get there early. They also serve breakfast all the time and they serve lunch food all the time, too! Onaway needed this!

Want a special treat in Onaway? Try Ma's Diner on Main Street; best omelettes, taters with onions, homemade strawberry freezer jam and a friendly staff. Delicious coffee served in fun mugs and a cute country interior with bonus WiFi. We will be back.

The special was Country Fried Steak. I wasn't hungry and just got a hamburger, but my hubby got the special. Now, honestly, I'm not a sausage gravy fan. But when the very nice and efficient waitress put my husbands plate down I couldn't believe how good it smelled. He ate one of his eggs, then took a bite of the country steak, and his eyes got huge. He offered me a bite and I stopped eating my hamburger. He ate his fill, I had 4 bites of his Country Fried Steak, then we brought home almost half of the steak, it was that big. We're looking forward to warming it up and make some eggs here at home tomorrow. We'll be going out of our way to get this meal again!

The ladies working were very personable and our server got us menus as soon as we chose our seats. Tonight's special was a Fried Cchicken Mashed Potato Bowl. It came with choice of soup or salad and bread. I chose the Chicken Alfredo Soup. It was very hearty so I only ate a little bit knowing the bowl would also be filling. The Mashed Potato Bowl had pieces of fried chicken tenders, corn, mashed potato, cheese, and gravy. It was very filling! I really like this restaurant and will come back but breakfast is really my favorite meal here.

The Farmer's Table is conveniently located just off the Wolverine, MI exit of I-75. It looks like it may have once been a gas station; very unassuming building with a huge parking lot for all sorts of vehicles, trucks and RV's. Once you step inside, the magic happens. Cute and cozy, filled with charming little tables and a mercantile area, the friendly staff will greet you and make you feel at home. Their menu is varied with many entrees made from locally sourced ingredients. This concept feels fresh and healthy, though the entrees themselves feel like grandma's cooking. Not fancy or trendy, but hearty, flavorful home cooking. My husband chose a pork chop, baked potato, corn and side salad. The photo of the pork chop looks juicy and tender; it was just that. He said it was the best pork chop he's ever had. The apple glaze was really good. I chose the chicken cordon blue, to sample something I would not make at home. It was rich, a tad salty yet very good. The side corn was amazing, as was the apple slaw. Next time I'll ask for mashed potatoes without the dark gravy. We took a small fried raspberry pie for dessert on the road and enjoyed mulling the through their homemade bakery items. The prices were very reasonable. We will be making this stop a regular on our way up north. Look forward to trying their brunch items, which get raved reviews.

This place was such a fun breakfast stop!…read more My wife ordered the Cinnamon Roll French Toast with a yogurt, and I had the Michigan Berry Salad. First of all... the portions are HUGE! We shared everything and still had leftovers. We were literally fighting over the last bite of that cinnamon roll French toast... I lost. But that's okay because I took my butt right back the next day and ordered a full serving all for myself! Now, the salad wasn't my favorite, but I do want to say this. With everything that's been in the news lately about fresh produce and people being cautious because of recent food safety concerns, I was paying close attention. This salad looked freshly prepared not dumped out of a bag which made me feel much better about ordering it. The real star of the show, though, was that Cinnamon Roll French Toast. It was absolutely worth going back for! The people in Gaylord are some of the sweetest you'll ever meet, and the staff here fit right in. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. The restaurant itself is colorful, cozy, and full of charm. I especially loved the giant colorful coffee mugs decorating the outside they're adorable and definitely photo-worthy! One thing to know before you go: they close at 2:00 PM, so make sure you get there before then. If you're looking for a wholesome breakfast spot with generous portions and a welcoming atmosphere, Rise & Dine is definitely a must-try!
