We visited Grateful bread at their new location. Its a beautiful building and the overall space has a great open feel to it. There were 3 people working, a barista, a cashier, and a cook. Now, after working in food service for over a decade, I have certain expectations such as urgency. We waited far too long in line as the cashier and barista were moving like molasses in January. The cook was super fast and missed the details on my wifes order, which was toast the bagel. The baked goods are delicious, a bit pricey, but very tasty. Overall, I know they just moved to their new space and if they have staffing issues, I'm curious why the owners weren't helping. We'll visit again as its a local place for us, but I sure hope they get their stuff together. read more

I have tried this place several times. Generally speaking many of the items are good. The only item i have had problems with would be the hame and cheese croissant. For $4.50, id expect more. Several times i have got my croissant and the ham is basically non existant. We are talking one small thin piece of deli sliced thin ham. Not worth the price at all. Its hit or miss. Sometimes there's more than, that but often not. Not consistent. They also dont respond to messages. I inquired about an updated menu as their menu online is not updated. I would give 5 stars for quality of product, 4 stars for service and 1 star for health and safety. They have gloves on, but they are not disinfecting between guests and they are not wearing masks. They are breathing over all the pastries. The customers coming in and out are protecting themselves better then the bakery. read more

Update: From what I've seen, the employees are now fully masked up at all times. Yay! The muffins are all great but my favorite is the blueberry one. Good croissants, too, including their chocolate croissants. If your diet permits it, the cinnamon rolls are rumored to be decadent and delicious too! I can't vouch for them personally but other members of my family swear they are heavenly. I'll take their word for it. Great place to visit if you are wanting a breakfast pastry in town. read more

This place is literally the best! They have incredible breakfast and lunch items. I love their breakfast croissants. They're so buttery and delicious. When people come visit from out of town we make sure and bring them to the grateful bread. What really sent me over the top was eating the pies they make at holidays. We had an apple and Marionberry for thanksgiving dessert. It made the night and everyone loved them!!! You have to try it!!! read more

Can't say enough good things about this local bakery. Everything is so fresh and amazing. The cinnamon roll is to die for- it is flaky almost like a croissant and comes with cream cheese frosting that is so decadent. The coffee is also fantastic as well. Thankfully there is Grateful Bread for the Bread Heads of Duvall and Carnation. Of course Man cannot live by bread alone; Vegetables are a must on a diet. Dude, who would have known one of the most amazing bakeries would be nestled on the main drag in downtown Duvall!? I've never reviewed it either, maybe I shouldn't so it will be my own little secret? Ok ok, I will share. Most amazing croissants I have EVER had, and I have had a lot, I like croissants, they are a guilty pleasure, and so many super suck. This one is flaky on the outside, borderline crunchy, perfect and soft on the inside, not too light but not to heavy. Man I want one right now! The cookies? Snickerdoodle, just do it. Sugar cookie with frosting? I gave those up when I was like 10, but Grateful Bread's turned be back into a kid and got me munching sugars cookies and licking frosting of my fingers, they are so good! Soft inside, hard enough on the outside they don't fall apart and the most flavorful frosting! I suspect almond extract helps with that. Go here. Make a special trip, seriously! read more

My favorite items are the cinnamon rolls and scones. Love to bring them to work or a yummy indulgence on the weekend. The cinnamon rolls are light and fluffy made with a buttery croissant dough. I stopped by for the first time this morning, and took a chocolate croissant to go. It was brilliant - among the best I've had. The texture was perfect, with quality chocolate and just the right amount of sweetness. Looking forward to coming back and sampling the rest of the menu. Second time coming to the Duval location and I've been to the Seattle location twice as well. Cinnamon Rolls: The best I've ever had. By far. The breading is a thing to wonder at. A light, croissant-like, roll, with hints of sugary glaze on the outer surface-with an incredibly moist buttery cinnamon icing center, topped with a cream cheese filler. Perfection. Yummmm!!!! We were passing through Duvall and stopped at Grateful Bread for lunch. Boy, am I...grateful! I ordered a turkey sandwich on multi-grain bread. From the first bite I could tell it was delicious! Organic vegetables, outstanding bread, it was so fresh and delectable. The small sugar cookie was also delicious. The owner was so friendly and we left with a loaf of sourdough and smiles on our faces! It is so nice to go out to lunch and find these little treasures tucked away. read more

We came in looking for some treats and did we find some! We got a small box of 4 pastries but my bf didn't want to carry them around so we left them there to pick up later.... but of course we forgot it! The owner called and texted me to remind us to pick them up but we had already left the area! Oh no! Fortunately they deliver their leftovers to the food bank so we asked if they would donate ours as well.
