    Harvest on sesame bagel
    M B.

Came in on a Saturday morning. Location has tons of parking. Very clean inside. Lots of table and chairs available. Staff is very friendly. I ordered the harvest bagel on a sesame bagel. It was soo good. The freshness of the bagel was obvious. Light crunch on the outside and chewy on the inside. Their Vietnamese iced coffee was delicious as well. Come try out this local bagel shop in Penngrove. I can't wait to try other items on their menu.

We are so excited to have a Grateful Bagel near us! Just as good as the Sebastopol location. The ladies working there were super nice. Lots of great options on the menu! We got there at the right time, people started to come in after we ordered! We enjoyed our bagels inside at a table, which had hot sauce and ketchup! They also have outside seating. We will definitely be back especially because the breakfast burritos are calling my name!!

Super cute space and plenty of outdoor and indoor seats. Coffee was really good and flavorful. Drip is 1$ refills and they have light, medium, and dark roast. Bagels were super amazing and fresh, a great size too. Only one person working and she seemed really rushed, super friendly and nice though!

The Sebastopol location has been a long time staple for me and I've grown up loving their bagels.

Came here to meet a friend before a trip to the coast and somehow this place turned into mission control. Snacks? Covered. Drinks? Secured. "What's the plan?" meeting? Handled. This place isn't a stop... it's the pregame to your entire adventure. We walked in like "let's just grab a couple things real quick" ...and immediately started acting like we were prepping for a 3-day expedition into the wilderness. Trail mix, drinks, random artisan goodies we absolutely didn't need but emotionally required--into the basket they go. The vibe hits you right away--warm, local, no nonsense. Not that fake "rustic but expensive" energy... this is the real deal. The kind of place where you half expect someone to hand you sourdough and life advice. Now let's talk about that wood-fired kitchen... The smell alone should come with a warning label. You walk in thinking you have self-control... and 5 minutes later you're ordering like you just finished a marathon you didn't run. Zero regrets. Grab-and-go here is elite. Perfect if you're road-tripping because everything feels intentional--like it was made for people who say "we'll just eat in the car" and then end up parked somewhere scenic turning it into a full dining experience. Outside seating? Dangerous. You sit down "just for a minute" and suddenly you're 45 minutes deep into conversation, solving life, planning detours, and debating whether the coast trip should include at least three unnecessary stops (it should). The market side is where discipline goes to die. You go in for water... leave with snacks, drinks, and at least one item you'll later say, "honestly... great decision." Parking is easy, place is clean, and the whole experience just flows without trying too hard. This isn't just a market. It's a pit stop that turns into a personality trait. Will I be back? Yeah... next time I'm pretending I only need one thing again.

I feel like it's presence in the area has changed the tone of the other businesses and bringing the quality up substantially. Owned and operated by the stellar team from Petaluma Market, Penngrove market has a ton of amazing things. I have been known to pop in and wander even if I don't have anything I need, just to see what they have seasonally or new. I love their gourmet options and so much is locally sourced. In the back, you will find fresh pizza and sandwiches made for lunch time and dinner and they also do to go dinner that you can pre-order for your entire family which is great. Some of my favorite things from Penngrove market are the JM Rosen cheesecake, their awesome selection of chocolates and desserts, and the ever-changing coffee, tea and spices. For the wine and beer drinkers, they have a small but impressive selection of local and imported beverages, as well as many drinks for those looking for something refreshing and non-alcoholic. The coffee bar at the front is an excellent choice for morning pastry and hot drink, or you can bypass that entirely and go for the Strauss organic soft serve which is honestly not to be missed. The location of the store is easy to get to as long as you are coming at a time that does not coincide with school pickup, and there's lots of parking right on the street or in their parking lot. Prices are moderately high, but what you get for that price is high quality and supporting local business which works for me!

The experience was a bit strange from the start and the two people working (one at the register and one behind the deli counter) were both pretty aloof. The individual working the register was too busy engaged in what I can only assume was a very engaging conversation with another customer and the one behind the deli was MIA for almost 10 minutes while I waited awkwardly, unsure if the deli was even open. When someone finally came to the deli counter, I decided to order, pay, and get out of there as quickly as possible. I ordered a reuben sandwich, grabbed a beer, and paid. Then I was prompted to leave a tip - I was a bit shocked by this that I didn't even know what to do. I instinctually hit 20% and it wasn't until I was in the car that I realized I just tipped on a can of beer I grabbed out of the fridge and for a sandwich that I waited 10 minutes for, just to place the order.. lol. All other things aside, the sandwich was okay. A pretty good reuben, but far from the best. The bread was super thin and not well toasted so it became really soggy. Soggy reubens are the worst. We've all had one before - the bread just disintegrated and it just started to fall apart. Overall, the sandwich was okay but there are far better places in town to grab a sandwich that will at least pretend they are happy you stopped by, and won't ask you for a tip for the privilege of doing so.
