Such a great place! Beautiful decor. Light jazz playing, live music played nightly so will be back for that. Food was delicious. Rene was very helpful.

Have been wanting to go for quite a while and finally had a celebratory birthday dinner here. Lovely environment, with live music every night, which is great. The music does get a little loud and so it can be a little difficult to talk and hear well, but still a nice ambiance. Service is perfect- friendly and attentive. Lots of waitstaff! Food was delicious as were the cocktails. Small parking lot in the back and municipal parking lot almost next door. It was worth the wait and will return.

Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night. They were able to seat us with no reservation which was awesome. The red sangria was delicious and strong and they had a live piano player inside. They served warm bread with butter and a delicious olive oil to start. I ordered the Rigatoni Pomodoro it was delicious with burrata on top and and eggplant chunks. The server brought over Parmesan cheese and fresh cracked ground pepper. It was a very intimate setting and the food was classic Italian. Will definitely be back.

I drive by Grasso's all the time, but had never tried it. I saw it was on restaurant week, the menu looked good so I was all in. The restaurant is lovely on top of a hill on 25A, fairly busy for a Tuesday night and had a live singer. Margaritas were also on the restaurant week special for $10 so my friend and I both had one and we enjoyed them. For appetizer, I had the mango crab cake which was excellent and my friend had the butternut apple squash soup which she enjoyed. For an entree I had the stuffed pork loin, it was okay- very sweet and honestly tasted like waffles. I know that sounds crazy but even my friend tried it and said the same thing- maybe there was excessive maple syrup? Who knows. Still good, but probably wouldn't get again. My friend had the short ribs which were great. For dessert I had the tiramisu which was good, it was a lighter tiramisu without that heavy alcohol taste, and my friend had the apple crumble which she enjoyed. Overall a good meal and would definitely come again.

Living in NYC, there's an Italian spot on just about every corner. Still, it's become harder and harder to find ones with food that is truly memorable. Even more so, where service is treated as it should be -- an art -- the art of hospitality. Which is why discovering Grasso's, in the LI suburb of cold spring harbor, was such a delightful surprise. Let's start with ambiance. A perfect blend between old school Italian and upscale vibes. The live music added some extra energy that was very enjoyable. Solid as the ambiance is though, it's not what you come here for. Let's move on to the food. The menu is big with a lot of diversity. And everything was really good. We started with pasta w/ shrimp and lobster appetizer which was a 10. Grilled octopus was also really delicious. For entrees, we had everything from chicken parm which was top notch to the halibut special which was prepared perfectly to the veal chop which was also excellent. As it was explained to us, Chef Tony takes great pride in his food and you could tell with each bite. Excellent all around. But we save the best for last. The service. Most notably, Brian, the ever-affable host with the most. If ever there was a guy who was truly born for hospitality, it's him. Simply put, his nature is to make others feel good when they're in his restaurant and he goes out of his way to make it happen. My wife is as indecisive about her food ordering as they come. She asks every waiter 100 questions about the menu, to the point most get impatient. Not Brian, he loved talking through the menu. And when she couldn't decide to go with the fish or the lamb chop, he said to trust him. Little did we know he worked with Chef Tony to do a split plate -- half fish half lamb chops. What other restaurant would ever do this?! Such care, such effort to please a customer. It's a lost art these days and going to Grasso's was such a welcome reminder of how far good hospitality can go. For the grand finale, Brians dad Tony joined him for a table-side duet preparation of bananas foster. The father and son joked as they cooked up a world class dessert. Amazing to see (and more so to eat). Grasso's is a special place and we highly recommend you stop by soon!

One of the best meals we've had in a long time! My girlfriend's step mother had been raving about the halibut saying it was the best she's ever had so this had been on our list of places to try for a while. Such a beautiful quaint town. Promptly seated. Attentive waitress, went over the specials and even recommended drinks. I ordered the Cacio e Pepe w/chicken it was so good, I continued to crave it for the next few days. Salads fresh, drink just perfect, my girlfriend loved her halibut! Too full for dessert, but so glad we came. Definitely will be back to try other dishes, makes the perfect date night.

Great atmosphere with live music at just the right volume. My husband had the pork chop which was great, I had the fusilli and it wasn't fantastic but wasn't horrible. I expected more with that dish, it was bland. The oysters were amazing and fresh! I love that they split the app up and gave us each our own cold plate. Coconut cake was awesome. Waitress was lovely and available. If you're in the area I'd highly suggest it.

Although i passed this restaurant many times i never stopped in until recently after a hike with my BFF. There is a nice size bar and different sitting areas . The decor is warm and cozy . Al fresco dining available as well . Our server welcomed us and was well versed in both food and drink . We started with both beautiful and well made Bloody Mary's . Baked clams were juicy , perfect balance of clam to breading . Last but not least vegetarian omelets , filled with veggies and cheese, perfectly fluffy ! I would definitely recommend for brunch, but look forward to returning for dinner and live music

He stops and points at a table in the back, gesturing for me to squeeze between two customers. I choose to walk around a different way and the host is still gesturing for me to squeeze between to chairs when the host himself wouldn't even walk through. It was beyond strange. We sit down and have some time and order our drinks and my friend knows we need to order the rest of our meal at the same time. We order baked oysters and I ordered the special- lamb My friend orders the flounder with risotto because it never disappoints We ordered the cappuccino heath bar ice cream pie and that was incredible! May have been my favorite part of the meal We received the ice cream pie and not even a minute later, a server, who was different than our original server, put the check down. And not even 10 minutes later, he came to check if we had put down a credit card It was not even 10pm yet (mind you, they close at 11pm) I can understand if it was past closing and we were the only ones left but it wasn't even close and there were still other patrons. As we were wrapping up, you could feel them circling our table and staring us down. By the time we left, it wasn't even 10:30pm. Despite the good food, this left a sour taste in my mouth.

The restaurant itself is stunning, beautiful design, good music, and an upscale bar that transports you far from the reality of being in a strip mall on Jericho Turnpike. The ambiance feels high end and thoughtfully curated. However, a few details reminded us we were still in a strip mall. Small but important things that could easily make or break this place. The bartender, who essentially represents the restaurant and sets the tone , the "sensei" of the establishment, so to speak. He was friendly and kind, but his expertise in cocktails and culinary knowledge was lacking. After our first cocktail, I made it clear that I dislike sweet drinks or wines. He then recommended a Riesling which is known for being a sweet, semi-dessert wine -- which made me question his understanding of the menu. He seemed young and inexperienced, though well-intentioned. The food was a mixed experience. The raw bar appetizers were excellent, and both the lobster udon pasta and spaghetti were delicious! Unfortunately, the lamb chops were a complete miss. We ordered them medium rare, as they arrived so..they were looking and tasting boiled, with no sear, no crust, and a chewy texture. Halfway through my second glass of wine, the bartender refilled it without asking. I assumed it might be on the house, tipping me off. As it wasn't a full glass of wine. When the bill came, I saw I had been charged for a full glass. He never asked if I wanted another; he simply refilled it and added it to the check. That's an amateur. We also received a complimentary glass of champagne (which we noticed was being served to all omakase guests), though the bartender presented it as though it were a personal gesture from him. His words were "these last two rounds were on me". Meanwhile, it was just a 2 glasses of champagne.. my husband and I ordered 3 drinks each, one of which I was poured and did not ask for. Until the service matches the sophistication of the space, this restaurant will struggle to keep diners coming back.

The bar area is separate from the main dining room and feels like its own space, with a large bar, a few small tables, and seating along the windows. It was fairly lively for a Thursday night. The bartenders were fun and engaging, clearly knew many of the regulars, and did a great job keeping the energy up. While there are no formal happy hour deals, they do serve complimentary chunks of parmesan, which were very good. The cocktail and wine menu is fairly extensive. We only ordered a small starter (fingerling potatoes for $13), but the dinner portions we saw looked generous. I enjoyed a glass of Malbec (~$15) and generous pour. Prices are closer to New York City pricing, though the portion sizes may be enough to share. When you enter the restaurant, you pass a large patio with tables, which would be especially nice during warmer months. Overall, Farm Italy feels like a great spot for catching up with friends over drinks, and I would definitely come back to try more of the food.

I remembered the restaurant so fondly and I've always wanted to go back since I moved out of LI. This weekend when I was visiting with my husband, I wanted to take him there because of how great it was the first time we went. We were able to grab a reservation for four people at 4 PM (which is pretty tough otherwise). Our server was nice and drinks were good but it didn't feel like that elevated experience that I once had here. The most disappointing part was that all of the food lacked so much flavor. We ordered the frito misto, the taglioni? (Pecorino cake style appetizer), salad, pappardelle, NY strip steak, roasted chicken. I felt like everything but the taglioni and salad lacked so much flavor and depth. I recall enjoying their food and having such an extraordinary experience the first time around, and this just felt like really basic food at a premium price point. I'm hoping it's a one off thing based off of circumstances outside their control, but I don't think I'd be going back anytime soon
