For amusement park food Granny Ogle's was very good! We all tried something different. The ham, greens and cornbread were the favorites! The service was friendly and kind. We will definitely go back!

If you are looking for a nice spot to grab a hearty lunch or dinner than this is the place. After coming down the mountain at Dollywood we decided to grab some lunch and when I saw that they had Ham and beans on the menu I knew we would look no further. Be aware there could be a wait, in our case or was about 15 minutes. You just stand in line and wait until it's your turn with a host or hostess. When our turn came around we were taken into the house and around the porch to a great spot next to the railing overlooking one of the outdoor stages where different southern gospel gr pi ups were performing. We looked over the menu and right away I knew those Ham and Beans would be mine. Our server seemed a little tired by the time she came over, and who wouldnt be with all of the tables constantly being served but she was pleasant. She also brought us a skillet of fresh corn bread and an assortment of bitters. We quickly ordered and then chatted while we waited for our lunches. It wasnt long before she was bringing them out and it's a good thing too because we were hungry. I haven't had Ham and Beans in a coons age so I quickly dug in. Delicious pinto beans with shredded pork and if course I had to try a little cornbread. My meal also was accompanied by some delicious slaw as well as some turnip greens which I discovered that I am not a fan. All in all it was a tasty relaxing meal. The only downside was the wait to cash out and she wasnt able to split pur check but if we make it back I would definitely get this again and maybe split a cobbler. Happy dining ya'll!

A nice, friendly front porched restaurant located within Dollywood that helped us warm up on a cold day. The menu is limited on offerings but not on taste. They start you off with cornbread in a small skillet with butter. My pot roast was really good and so were my sides. It was a decent meal, I would go back.

Not sure where some of these people who rate this place highly usually eat but I'm guessing they've never had real food. The meatloaf stack is tasteless and the ham is blah. The service was about as friendly as a fast food restaurant...zero personality. This was my first experience at Dollywood and was not impressed with the food at all. If you are used to eating at 1 to 2 star places, the food will be fine for you. Typical theme part pricing(still cheaper than Disney) $70 for 3 adult meals and a kids meal. The cornbread was very bland, not worth eating bad calories/carbs for. Why do they put the food in a cold skillet? At least warm up the skillet to pretend you cooked the food in it. The honey butter is absolutely horrible for you. Check out the photos. Dolly, please upgrade your food and put the servers through a personality training program.

I've eaten at almost ever restaurant at DW. I'm there often. This one...okay. It's probably what I ordered...cornbread salad. It was iceberg lettuce - much like a Cobb salad with soggy cornbread croutons. Lettuce was wilted. That was the biggest disappointment. Everything else was fresh. The ranch dressing was also tasty. The server brings out a small iron skillet of yellow meal corn bread. It's warm. It's the sugar free kind of corn bread. Heads up. Use the honey butter on it. Drinks are cold. Restaurant clean. Servers....NOT SMILING! That was huge. Dollywood is a FUN place where you can feel "like kin". Not at Granny Ogles. Unfortunately. What's sad is that Dolly would go to Granny Ogles as a girl because she lived her pinto beans and cornbread. I suspect Granny wasn't a grouch! I'll cut them some slack. It was December and 70 degrees and the servers all in long sleeve dresses with aprons and bonnets. Yikes. Everyone was really warm anyway but still...fake it if you have to. The smile that is. After all...it's about memories worth repeating.

From the moment we sat down, the food just kept coming . fried chicken that was crispy and juicy, fluffy biscuits, creamy mac and cheese, and sides that tasted straight out of someone's grandma's recipe box. Nothing felt rushed, and the staff was genuinely warm and attentive the whole time. And they had fun games to play outside while you wait. We played cornhole and ping pong. It was alot of fun. What really made it special was the atmosphere loud in the best way,we all were going back for seconds. You don't leave hungry, and you definitely don't leave disappointed. The online menu gave plenty of eye candy and we were absolutely starving by the time we arrived Friday evening. The staff was very attentive and kind. It's clear that this place is fully operated by word-of-mouth and return guests. It's a huge establishment with several rooms by big fireplaces and Lazy Susan's to pass around the family style meal. The menu was a little difficult to navigate so many options laid out, but only certain options available per day. So ultimately, we were not able to order exactly what we wanted, but we ordered what was available for Friday, which was the Salisbury steak, fried fish, and fried chicken. All of these meats came in a small portion to split amongst our three people, and with unlimited sides. Some of the sides were pretty impressive. I would have to say my favorite side was the broccoli casserole, followed by the mashed potatoes and gravy, which were real potatoes! The mac & cheese was more on the creamy side versus the gooey cheesy side. Unfortunately, some of our chicken was undercooked, and the skin was very thin and not too crispy. The fish was decent, not dried out whatsoever, which is a pretty good compliment. While my coworker said that the chicken and dumplings were her favorite, I failed to enjoy them :( All in all, this was not our favorite restaurant from our trip this weekend and it appears that big groups and big families really do enjoy dining at this establishment.

Her tone, attitude, and the way she spoke to me made me feel uncomfortable the entire time. It felt like we were a burden just for being there. I ended up completely losing my appetite because of how mean and cold Marsha was, and I actually left the table crying over it. (I work in healthcare so I have thick skin). Going out to eat is supposed to be enjoyable, not something that leaves you feeling embarrassed and humiliated. I understand everyone can have bad days, but there's no reason to treat customers with that level of disrespect. I was asking a simple question of getting an order to go and about the lunch. I really hope management takes customer service more seriously because no one should leave a restaurant crying and feeling the way I did.

It has a real down home feel. The place offers burgers (Mushroom Swiss, BBQ Burger), sandwiches (Cheesesteaks, Reuben, BLT, Chicken Sandwiches with Ranch/Buffalo options), and hearty baskets with fried chicken, cod, or shrimp, plus breakfast served all day, desserts (chocolate pie!), and options like pork chops or steak. They have someone thing for everyone. Everything is cooked to ordered. We started off with deep fried deviled eggs. My wife had the Beef Stroganoff. While I had the House Smash Burger. The stroganoff is served in a wide, shallow bowl that showcases the sauce's glossy sheen and the generous scatter of sautéed mushrooms. Steam carries a rounded, savory bouquet: beef-forward notes, toasty browned butter, and the faint acid of a finishing touch -- likely a splash of vinegar, wine, or lemon -- that hints the sauce will be bright rather than cloying. The presentation is simple and effective: no unnecessary frills, just clear evidence that plate composition exists to showcase the food's strengths. The sauce is the star: a glossy, velvety emulsion built on a brown stock backbone, enriched with sour cream (or a light cultured cream), and tempered with mustard and a touch of acidity. The mushrooms are properly caramelized, offering an earthy counterpoint and slight chew that complements the tender beef. Onions are present but not intrusive; garlic and a whisper of thyme or parsley frame the dish without flattening the primary flavors. Chubby's pairs the stroganoff with broad egg noodles -- they're al dente-yielding and capture the sauce in their folds, which makes each mouthful a composed, layered bite rather than separate elements awkwardly forced together. The Smash Burger was an equal masterpiece as well. In an era when burgers can feel formulaic and predictable, the SMASH Triple Burger with Chubby Sauce at Chubby's Restaurant stands out not just as a meal, but as a culinary statement, mine was constructed of three thin-pressed beef patties -- each seared to achieve that iconic lace of caramelization -- deliver an intoxicating aroma of grilled beef that primes the palate for something special. The smash technique here isn't a gimmick; it's a masterstroke that intensifies the beef's flavor while maintaining juiciness through every layer, a testament to precise heat management on the griddle. The Chubby Sauce, a house specialty that earns its name with rich, tangy complexity, serves as the burger's soul. It marries creamy umami with a whisper of sweetness and a balanced acidity that cuts through the savory heft of the triple stack. This sauce is not merely a condiment -- it's the architectural glue that binds texture and taste, elevating each bite into a chorus of complementary notes. What makes this experience remarkable was how it balances bold indulgence with thoughtful restraint: the trio of patties makes a statement, yet the burger never feels overwhelmingly heavy. Each layer interacts harmoniously, and the Chubby Sauce is nothing short of inspired -- tangy yet creamy, bold yet nuanced. We topped it all off with pie. My wife had the peanut butter while I opted for the Apple pie was our desert. Dessert at Chubby's often arrives with the quiet confidence of a house specialty, and the both the Apple & Peanut Butter Pie is no exception. If you think you've had every version of apple pie, this one will surprise you. Chubby's Apple Pie is warm, comforting, and brilliantly balanced. The apples are tender and spiced just right, the crust is buttery and flaky. The peanut butter pie has a subtle, savory richness that keeps the dessert from being overly sweet. It's indulgent without being heavy and memorable in the best way. An absolute must-order if you save room for dessert. This was a great dining experience and in a tourist dominated area, this place stands out as real down home cooking that your grandmother made. Highly recommend, this is one the most stop sites if you are in the area.
