Wow... So lucky to have found these guys! We always check reviews and theirs looked promising. We weren't disappointed! Walked in looking for a remnant for a 60" vanity and Zula was incredibly helpful. Not pushy, not trying to sell us something we weren't feeling, and her design-eye is top shelf! We came up with two remnant slabs we were interested in, but on a lark Zula remembered a half slab in their fabrication area. Showed it to us and it was EXACTLY what we were looking for. Templating was bang on, vanity top installation also. Our backsplash was slightly delayed due to us wanting that in 2 CM and our job bumping up against another - but we were cool with that. AND - both Tom and Zula came after work to install it for us - on a Saturday no less - because they didn't want us to wait for it. Service, selection, and quality install. Nice work on countertop. They do a fairly fast job but it took about 2 week turn around from measuring and then coming back out for installation. They used a laser type of machine to do all the measurements. After a couple of weeks of waiting, they sent 2 people over to install the countertop and they caulk the area. We live on Vashon and called 4 counter top companies with quite a few questions on drilling out the drain, finishes, materials and the smoothing of edges. Only Granite Top Inc, called us back at all. We needed a very specific custom curved back-splash. They helped us to pick out the appropriate material, drilled for the drain and faucet, smoothed the edges and created the back-splash from a drawing. It could not have been more perfect. Do not let the low prices pull you in...Our experience with Tom (the owner) has been the worst experience of our lives....he literally held our entire home remodel "hostage" because he refused to refabricate and correct his mistakes in a timely manner...he told us that we were "not his only customers" and he would get around to revising things "when he had time". He then promised us a refund, refused to honor his promise, but then gave us a refund after I threatened to go to the BBB and escalate the issue. STEER CLEAR! Deposit down and slabs picked out on the 27th of April. Suggest that IF there is enough product left over potentially doing our downstairs mini bar area. It's the 27th of May I have been canceled on TWICE. Last week it was due to machines being down, this week it was due to product being delivered late. We hired Granite Top Inc for our kitchen countertop fabrication and installation. They were responsive to get the countertop we wanted and installed it. Right after installation we found many strap marks on the countertop and we told them about it. Once we reported The problem, they were non responsive and would not return calls or respond to emails. Tom, our contact, did not provide customer satisfaction to ensure that the problem would be taken care of. New countertop was eventually installed and another mark was found. Granite Top has not once called to apologize or to assure us how the mark will be cleared. I would not recommend Granite Top Inc to anyone. Very poor in providing customer Support and satisfaction. read more

The installation was cut shorter than designed, yet we were charged the same amount. And, a couple of months later we discovered the countertop on the peninsula was not glued down. When I called and spoke with Tom to schedule this item be complete, he was a NO SHOW the day of, then never answered mine or my husbands subsequent calls. The same day Tom was a NO SHOW, we had also scheduled an additional hole be drilled for a sink bit. I think Tom gives good face, but lacks integrity. read more

My only complaint is they forgot to leave a sample when they left so I could take it with me when purchasing paint. read more

A big disappointment. We were looking for a granite remnant for our bath remodel. Granite Top had one, and Tom offered it to us at a very reasonable price ($300). They also agreed to cut it to size, cut the sink and faucet openings, and install it with back-splashes and a Kohler K-2210 sink for another $300. The deal sounded too good to be true, but we gave them a $300 down payment, and told them we would let them know when our cabinets were installed. A month later, when our cabinets were in, we delivered to Tom several detailed architectural drawings showing the vanity cabinet dimensions, the size the granite top needed to be, and the locations where the sink and faucet cutouts needed to be cut in the countertop. Since there is not much room in a 21" deep vanity cabinet for the sink, the faucets and a backsplash, we were very careful to place the sink on our drawings as far forward as the cabinet would allow, so there would be adequate room for the faucets between the sink and the backsplash, without having the faucets up against the backsplash or creating knuckle interference during faucet operation. I asked Tom if he understood the drawings or had any questions about how to cut our stone and he said he understood the drawings and didn't have any querstions. After Tom and his helper instaled the countertop, my wife noticed that the sink was not the Kohler K-2210 that we wanted (and had ordered and was which listed on our invoice), but a different Chinese sink. In addition, the sink and faucet holes were not cut according to the drawings we gave them, and they were actually both about 1" too far towards the back of the countertop. This was very upsetting because it was the one thing we wanted to avoid and which I specifically questioned Tom about after I gave him the drawings. We demanded that the sink be replaced, which Tom grudgingly did, after mumbling that "a model 2210 sink is just any standard sink", but there was nothing he could do about the faucet holes being right up against the backsplash. Tom, if you read this, please Google "2210 sink" and see what brand comes up. The result is that we got a beautiful stone countertop, at a decent price, but it was not cut to our specifications (and my knuckles bump the backsplash every time I use the faucets!). Granite Top has reasonable prices, but watch for the "bait and switch" if you agree to buy a sink from them, and don't expect them to be able to read or follow architectural prints or drawings. I don't think Tom or his worker have any functional training in dimensioning, tolerancing or how to interpret drawings or blueprints. read more

I shopped several other granite installation contractors, and Granite Top was able to get to my job the quickest and was the cheapest. With the size and dimensions of my counters, most other installers thought I was going to need two separate "Jumbo Slabs" from the granite wholesaler, but Tom was able to make a single slab work with some clever cutting, with no seams in my counters. Making one slab work was a huge cost savings and very much appreciated since every other project was over budget. Additionally, from my first contact with Tom, to the measuring, to the time the counters were installed was about 10 days. The only gripe was from my wife that Tom was a bit gruff and bossy, but I personally want contractors that way since I interpret it as focus. read more
