Beautiful park! It's large! Had many areas for r&r. The kiddos enjoyed fishing. Good spot for a small fishing get away. Enjoyed the soccer tournament. Some vendors on site. Benches & trees are available but pack a canopy and chairs if you'll be there for a whole

Amy and I brought our dogs to this dog park for the first time. Oh boy, did all of them have a great time. I was shocked how empty the park was but I can understand why. There are way too many foxtail so be careful also walking down the walk way it's best to carry your Pet because of all the broken glass, so trifling. Anyway, all the dogs ran, played fetch and had an all around blast. I didn't notice any fountain for dogs to get water but luckily I always carry water and a bowl for them. Maybe there was a fountain but I never saw one. I do like this park better than Howe dog park and Carmichael dog park because people bring there big dogs in the little dog side and my dogs are scared of large dogs except for Brenda...lol!!! I would definitely bring my dogs back here because they had so much fun and when they are happy I'm happy! :)

They do not longer care for there pond everything's getting high weeds wise they need too trim always dead fish floating smells bad looks bad can see all the fluids from the dead fish in water hope this changes soon !

Very sad

Great facility and space for families to enjoy watching soccer. Unfortunately, when I look around, I see a lot of trash and no visible concern for keeping our parks clean. It is clear there's a lack of respect for our Earth that continues to support humanity. It's 2023 and the park doesn't even have recycling bins either? Welcome to Sacramento, the greatest capitol in the union.

Nice park with a couple large soccer fields small and big dog park in a pretty cool skate park Starbucks right around the corner plenty of parking pretty busy on the weekends

The "lawn" consists mainly of weeds and dead spots.

Review for the small dog park only: The condition of this park has greatly declined since the last time I visited. (I go to the Bradshaw dog park these days). There are so many weeds everywhere and debris scattered around as well. My dog is the only small dog here on a pleasant Saturday afternoon. what a shame. I guess there is not enough budget money to hire a maintenance staff.

One of the most beloved community parks in the Sac area (one of my faves for sure). The park…read moreincludes a playground, mini lake, rose garden, soccer field, and tennis courts. Very popular for jogging and hot girl/guy walking on the flat sidewalk/trail (most people here have spatial etiquette but there are a few who hog the whole pathway and expect everyone else to walk/run around them lol). Street parking on the perimeter of the park as well as in the surrounding neighborhood (all free but there is a 2-3 hr time restriction). I've never had trouble finding parking within a few blocks, and don't think you can outsmart parking attendants and make your own parking spot in a clearly designated no-parking zone because I saw a vehicle getting ticketed for that lol.

The space was beautiful and easy to decorate, and was perfect for our crowd, and would be perfect for any gathering. There were several metal picnic benches large enough for 9 people per bench and the space had a nice roof/canopy to keep us out of the sun. There were bathrooms close by, so that was very helpful. There was plenty of toilet paper on hand, and a blower to dry your hands but no running water. I would recommend bring a large container of water, and wipes and set up away from the crowd for emergency hand washing. There were also two drinking fountains, but no running water there either. So come prepared.

Capital Park is a beautiful place. Definitely worthy of a visit in Sacramento. I have been here…read moremany many times; most recently over the past few years I have come here on my way to or from protests. However, I was having lunch in the area last week and realized I have never reviewed it. The highlight of the park for me is the beautiful World Peace Rose Garden, which is especially stunning right now because all of the roses are in bloom. The gardens' central fountain creates a peaceful atmosphere and makes this a wonderful place to relax and walk around or sit and just enjoy the scenery. I almost always have my dog with me and she loves watching all the squirrels in the park and there are so many settings that make for a great photo ops of her. There are also lots of great manicured paths for me to walk with her. Another thing that I love about this park is the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. As the mother of a veteran, I am always very moved by this tribute to those who have served. The statues are incredibly well done and it's a beautiful space for some quiet reflection. Parking can sometimes be hard and expensive, but it's a lovely park where I am rarely bothered, no matter how busy it can get at times. I definitely recommend stopping by if you haven't already and I will continue to return to this park again and again whenever I'm downtown.

My family and I came…read morehere on a Sunday evening to wind down and end our day, and it is by far one of the best and cleanest parks in the Elk Grove area. We even came on a windy day, and it was still a wonderful place to be. It is so spacious that it's the perfect spot to fly kites. A few of us were flying kites together, and it was such a relaxing, heartwarming experience. It's incredibly family and dog friendly, super roomy, and has so much going on. Because it's so clean and well maintained, this might just become the park I bring my kids to most often, and it is definitely a top choice for hosting future family events! It is perfect for a workout, sports activities, or just letting the kids play. I love the layout, especially how they designed the two separate grass areas where one sits at a lower elevation, while the other is level with the rest of the park. But honestly, what really blew me away was the restroom. I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but I'm serious! So many park restrooms are cold, dark, dirty, and lacking privacy. This one felt downright luxurious. It is completely temperature controlled, which was especially nice since it was breezy outside! It was warm, well lit, exceptionally clean, and had absolutely no odor. It even sounded like it had a great ventilation system running. The only minor downside was the lack of toilet seat covers, but that's an easy fix. The entire park feels pretty new with a beautiful, modern design, conveniently located right behind the Sky River Casino. Highly recommend checking it out! Rate: 10/10
