    Unsupported slab of granite

Yes our countertops are beautiful BUT... still incomplete I never write bad reviews. We used Granite city to get new countertops for our kitchen. The first time they came they were well over two hours late. Then one of the slabs broke with second-half and we understand that can happen. They left and our kitchen was a mess for an entire week before they came back with a new slab. On top of this whatever they took apart in the sink created a leak and ruined the floors to the front room... we found this out when our daughter slipped & FELL from the water leaking through the floor. Then I fell holding the baby ... we were all ok, I had a bruise on my knee but that was the worst of it. For a solid 24hrs we had this leak... and yes it was because of whatever they did to the sink. They took everything apart and just LEFT without coming back for a whole week. They eventually did come back and put a new slab on this time it didn't break. They once again left with our kitchen completely a mess the stove wasn't put back, the dishwasher was not installed properly so it's now loose, they never added support under the granite even after adding another couple inches out... they didn't even seal a whole side (pictures). My husband called the manager and he said he would come out and take a look. He came out to the house days later saw it all and agreed with everything that we said. From them not picking up our kitchen or putting anything back to leaving the new slab unsupported... we also noticed a CRACK already day ONE of install, which he promised to buff out. He said he was going to come back and fix all of it for us himself. It's been six weeks and nobody has come ... nobody has called.... We have been left high and dry on this project. We now have to fix thins ourself somehow. Like I said I don't normally write a bad review but this was REALLY bad customer service....

Buyers beware. Get multiple estimates. We had used granite city for our kitchen remodel and how we regret it so much. When they sent out someone to do a template it had to be reschedule 3 times and when he finally did arrive he was 4 hours late from the scheduled time. Few weeks went by and the installers finally came and they were very unprofessional and sloppy. They had to take out existing window sill to put on the granite for the kitchen window and ended up damaging the kitchen cabinets in the process. They did not caulk the cracks where the granite and the kitchen walls touched. Not to mention their are cracks in the granite.

We've been using this handheld sprayer with cold water for our dishes for months now. This has been going on since September.

Worst nightmare ever. They came in and installed quartz in our kitchen and then later sent out and installer to drill the hole for the faucet. The installer drilled the hole too close to the farm sink and drilled into the farm sink itself. There's no way to attach the kitchen faucet so basically the countertop is ruined. After doing that they sent someone out to drill the hole even larger, still too close to the sink and made it even worse. The hole is so big that the faucet collapses into the hole from the bottom and is visible from the top and the hole is visible from the top. There's not enough material there left to secure the faucet to. This is been going on for months. We've been using a cold water kitchen sprayer coming up through the hole for months now. The owner Sam, original contractor Steve Walker, and employee Mitchell has suggested Jerry rigging it but we don't want to do that. We paid for professional work and expect to get professional looking work. They have lied to us repeatedly and made appointments to come out and never showed up. They just did it to us AGAIN today and yesterday. No call no text nothing they just don't show up. It's unbelievable. What kind of business botches a job and just leaves it like that? In addition they've suggested that we come out and choose a remnant of material to remake the countertops. They're trying to force us to choose from scraps unlike the product that was originally installed. We went down over a month ago and chose different materials and Mitchell said ok we'll let you know what Steve Walker says and then never heard from them. Then he had the nerve to say that we didn't show up or select anything. Liars. It's really unbelievable. This is a tiny kitchen and they can't even finish it. They screwed it up themselves and then just completely dropped the ball. Photo is what they left us with. We're using a cold water sprayer to do dishes with now for months. We've been through both Thanksgiving and Christmas like this.

There was a 3/4-inch gap between the sink and the countertop on half of the edges of the sink, and I was afraid that if I didn't get that sink reattached, in the near future it would fall out. I sought repair quotes through Yelp, and Ryan Malloy, the owner of All Your Countertop Services, answered through Yelp messaging within minutes. He gave me a very reasonable quote and said he could come the very next day. I sent him photos and a detailed explanation of my repair situation, and he called me on the phone and talked to me about what would be required to fix my sink. The day of the appointment, he contacted me by both phone and text to give me a considerate heads up as to his exact time of arrival. While in my home, he did a deliberate, thorough job both to maximize the sturdiness of the adhesion of the sink to the countertop and to lessen as much as possible the amount of our exposure to the smelly glue necessary for repairing the sink. His diligence, competence, concern for our health, and full disclosure of every step of the procedure was an amazing degree of customer service I've never received from any service person before. My sink looks great, and I thoroughly recommend Ryan for any repair job of this nature that you might need. In addition to granite countertop installation and repair, he told me he can also do general handyman jobs (other than plumbing and electrical) as well. I will definitely be calling on him for all of my handyman needs from here on out.
