I ordered some replacement valance from them and requested delivery. I was told it was out of stock and would be in around one or two wees. I then received a text that my valance was in and ready for pick-up; I called and said that I requested delivery when I ordered. They took my address and told me maybe in a day or two it could be delivered , someone would call. One hour later someone called and told me my valance was in and ready for pick-up; again I stated that I wanted it delivered and gave them my address, again I was told someone would call. Three days later some did call got my address and told me there would be a fifty dollar delivery fee. I should have been told much sooner; bad customer service. Total amatures.. read more

I really wouldn't use this company going forward ,they started off by having the wrong size awnings for us ,they were two different sizes hanging side by side and it looked terrible then they didnt attache the awnings to the foundation properly they completely missed the studs so they wouldnt stay stationary a little breeze would pull it from the foundation they had to come back 5 times to try and make it right and still isn't . Now we have a front bay window that leaks and it didnt before they installed the awnings . The owner didn't seem to care and had a smug attitude toward the whole ordeal. The staff they sent didnt seem to care either they just wanted to get it done and not care if it was right. In closing i would like to say i will never do business with them again read more

Made my second trip to this place in the last week. Their customer service certainly warrants this review. I've started to use this company for screening materials, (Screen, Spline, etc.) Armed with a few questions in hand at my first visit, I was greeted by John behind the counter. This guy is very personable, professional and knowledgeable. John quickly prepared my order and answered my questions. Of equally importance was a another gentlemen named Mark. Mark appears to work in the back and after speaking with him for several minutes, Mark quickly proved he is a Master of his craft! Mark aloud me to pick his brain, he offered me some pointers, and some solid advice in working with screening materiel. Scott Walker, owner and estimator for Affordable Aluminum is arrogant and downright rude. When he came out to do the estimate I asked many questions and he became impatient and rude. So much so I asked him to not be so gruff. When I went to their showroom to leave a deposit for the $12k project, I asked more questions hoping to better understand the scope of work. Once again, he was unbelievably rude and once again I asked that he not speak to me that way. This time his response was to not do business with me as he felt our personalities clash! Thank you Scott Walker for doing me the favor of walking away. You saved me much heartache of having to work with you. Lets get on the ball with customer Service here... I walked in to see what they have... went to the Service Desk... Saw a bunch of Business Cards. I grabbed a business card that I took at the service counter... and on every one it Saids "DO IT YOURSELF AND SAVE" so... I asked the sales person there "I want to do It myself and Save"... " how do Learn about the Product. I got a Deer in the Headlight look.... I said your business card saids I can do it myself and save... so I want to learn how to do it myself and save. This person called someone in the back and asked them to come to the front... for a customer waiting.. OK 30 seconds later, I got someone who I again asked the same question... How do I do it myself and save... The response was to go read about it... I said do you have something here i can get the lingo and jargon of the materials and how its put together, and the person said "No".. so I asked... I guess I have to goto google?, and the response was yes... go on the Internet... My final question was regarding looking for parts for a broken screen... ( which they had ). so I made a purchase. This type of lousy answers to their "DO IT YOURSELF AND SAVE" motto... I wasn't a happy camper. i personally believe in My Opinion, the Person helping me could care less. In my opinion they cheated me, I never got a full refund! Here is part of one email of many with the company!..................... "See you are clueless on this manner. First - I don't have any check. You say you sent it, if so where is it? Second - how can I give you approval when I never received any documents to show my association? Third - How can you say you know what's going on, or how easy this is, when you didn't send me any blueprint, or any kind of paperwork what so ever. It blows my mind you do business like that. Have you ever build anything at a condo before? I doubt it since you don't know I need to show them something for them to approve. Fourth - I also explained to the salesperson that he would need to talk to the HOA manager. I even introduced him to Donna the manager and I left them talking as I left the property. If that wasn't so then why didn't I get anything to show her? This is one royal screw-up. No meeting of the minds and that is essential for any legal BINDING contract. Now you said you are confident that you refunded my money, where? I ask for proof? My guess is you are not informed or just lying, or was lied to by your salesperson. I contracted for a new flat roof over my patio. I was told it would be 4 weeks to installation. This was a 6,000 dollar job it was 6 weeks before it was installed in about 5 hours. It looked nice and I was satisfied with the overall job except the calking job along the building edge was not the cleanest or neatest. About 6 weeks later I noticed i had a leak over my backdoor when it rained, the leak was from a hole in the calking they applied. I called the company and they said they were backed up for 4 weeks on repairs. a simple calking repair 10 minute job. I have now waited 6 weeks and no repair, and the last time I called I got lectured on how busy they are with a good dose of attitude. Now 2 weeks since that call i am going to repair it myself. That's the kind of Warranty repair work you get from them. I should have looked at more Aluminium companies! read more

I purchased materials from Affordable Aluminum and installed the new aluminum pan patio roof myself since I'm pretty handy. The design of the track that fits under the drip edge of the roof of the house was questionable from the start. They gave me 2 x 10' track pieces and told me to cut one piece and slide the other piece into the other, and then caulk everything real good. I visited the store 3 times during the overall installation process to ask questions and each time I got a little more information, but only after asking detailed questions. It seems to me they wanted to withhold key tips and information until I ran into a problem, as if they want me to have problems so I might decide to have them do the installation. Even though I followed their instructions exactly for the installation, and I used 3 more tubes of caulk than the 6 they recommended, the joint leaks where the 2 tracks were cut and joined together. When I called back to ask what to do, their recommendation was to buy a piece of flashing the entire length of the roof, put it up under the drip edge along with the original track, and re-caulk. So their answer how to fix the leak, is to correct their design problem with another single, continuous piece of flashing. I'm very disappointed in their product and with their support. read more
