We came in to coordinate projects related to plumbing, electrical and carpentry. I had three companies/contractors for each category scheduled to come in and review the projects and give me quotes. Trying to schedule 9 contractors is like trying to herd cats, but it got done, and even though there were some time variations on when they came out that day, all but a few showed up. I always like to meet and get multiple bids on any projects I have for my home. The carpentry task was to enlarge the space for a new larger refrigerator. It was done by cutting away an attached cabinet above and putting in a thinner dry wall next to the refrigerator. Of the three carpenters that came out, one didn't give me a bid and said it couldn't be done because of the type of cabinet I had. Two gave quotes and both I thought were friendly and nice. However, the two quotes I got were wide apart and I prefer 3 quotes. So, the electrician I like and accepted his quote (look for another review), gave me the name and brochure of the Pinellas Executive Association which seemed like a good organization of professionals. This is where I found Danish Master Carpentry, Martin Luthje, 23 Booth Blvd, Safety Harbor, Fl 34695 (347) 784-5384. He was very pleasant to talk with on the phone. Even though I was back on the East coast, I scheduled him to come out and look at the project. We did all our communication with voice and text over the phone. His bid wasn't the lowest, but I liked what he said and his professionalism over the phone. He not only delivered what he promised and sent me pictures along the way, you can't even tell that the space wasn't like that to begin with. He took on some other projects I threw at him and did an excellent job, and most importantly, they were done to perfection, and he always showed up on time. There are many other projects I have in mind, and I will always use Martin for any carpenter work for my new home. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

Even though the installation couldn't be completed that day, he took the time to go to the store to purchase the materials needed to ensure the product functioned as intended. He came back the following day and completed the job. Even though the project took more hours than he estimated, he didn't change the estimated quote. I only had to reimburse him for the materials he purchased. Stormbusters are a product that is clear and allows the outside light into the room. It is placed over the window to protect it from flying objects during a hurricane. The house is a very old house in Windsor terrace that has settled and made the use of a level pointless. Everything needs to be done by eye. Anyway I was not happy with the way the molding came out with my original contractor and had tom come install some fresh stuff and it came out great. This is a just a side note to the kind of guy tom is. Exactly one year ago I had a bathroom done by a licensed contractor called Mitcham Contracting out of the Bronx. Long story short they put a clueless foreman on the job and the bathroom turn into a nightmare where I eventually had to rip out 3/4 of the bathroom to redo plumbing. At first the owner saw how bad the job was being done and swore to fix it until he actually saw how much this was going to cost him. By the time I fired them they had 12 grand of our money. Which I am still working on getting back in court. After the plumbing was redone correctly I called Tom to see what he could do to help me. Many contractors won't touch another ones work because they don't want to be blamed for things. But Tom came and checked it out and did the job for much less than he should have charged just because he knows I got screwed. The bathroom turned out pretty damn good and he did his best to work over the bad work done. Since then I have had tom lay down higher end lament flooring and it came out very nice. Tom is a man of many talents are a great guy who wants you to be happy with the finished product. He is not a take the money and run kinda guy. I highly recommend him.
