After hurricane damage, we began considering an exterior update for our Redington Beach, FL home…read more We'd talked about it for a while, and after seeing Alpine Exteriors' impressive projects around Tampa Bay and St. Petersburg, we finally decided to reach out. After dealing with high quotes and poor follow-up from other companies, it was refreshing to find a team that was responsive, professional, and made the process stress-free from the very first meeting. Veto was especially accommodating with scheduling and product selections, which made everything even easier. Our old siding had definitely seen better days, and I knew I wanted Hardie siding for its durability and warranty. Learning that Alpine had just won a Hardie Award gave us extra peace of mind. We ultimately chose pre-painted James Hardie lap siding in Iron Gray with crisp Arctic White trim--a combination that completely transformed the house. Neighbors constantly compliment the new look, calling it sharp and coastal. In addition to the siding, Alpine upgraded all our windows to dark brown aluminum PGT impact windows, replaced the soffits with pre-painted white aluminum, and installed two new French doors in the back along with a new storm-resistant front entry door. Having one trusted contractor handle everything--rather than juggling multiple companies--was a huge benefit. The results exceeded our expectations. The Iron Gray siding paired with the bright white trim created a timeless coastal style that fits our Redington Beach neighborhood perfectly. Alpine even handled interior updates like drywall repairs, baseboards, trim, and painting, ensuring the whole project felt seamless. Communication was great, scheduling was efficient, and Veto happily addressed any questions I had. As a James Hardie Elite Preferred Contractor--featured directly on the Hardie website--and the winner of the 2025 James Hardie National Project of the Year award, Alpine Exteriors delivered on every promise. Their certifications with PGT and CWS windows also gave us confidence in the quality of the products installed. If you're in the Tampa Bay or Redington Beach area and need siding, roofing, or exterior remodeling, we wholeheartedly recommend Alpine Exteriors. They truly went above and beyond.

That should not be interpreted as satisfaction with the workmanship, project management, communication, or overall experience. We specifically chose to handle remaining items ourselves because, after the delays and difficulties we had already experienced, we did not want to extend the project further. We paid the contractual balance after receiving the required final-payment documentation in order to fulfill our obligation and bring the relationship to a close. My review describes our firsthand experience and is supported by the extensive written project record (over 260 correspondences in 6 months) we retained. Sometimes the Greatest Blessings Arrive Carrying a Ladder…read more Life has a way of knocking you to your knees. Over the past several weeks, my wife Becky and I have been living through one of those seasons. After a biopsy, she received news no one ever wants to hear. With her family history, we always knew that "someday" might become "today," nothing truly prepares you for the moment it actually does. Suddenly your calendar fills with surgeons, scans, difficult decisions, and words like bilateral mastectomy. During times like these, home repairs become the last thing on your mind. For quite some time our screened patio had been in desperate need of repair. Every torn screen seemed to invite every mosquito in Pinellas County to dinner. We wanted to fix it, but life simply had bigger priorities. Then something happened that I'll never forget. Joshua Murphy, along with his wife Ruth and the wonderful people at Murphy's Aluminum & Rescreens, heard about what we were facing. They didn't send a "Get Well" card. They didn't simply say, "We're praying for you." They showed up. Without fanfare. Without expecting recognition. Without making the day about themselves. They transformed our worn-out patio into something beautiful again. There is an old saying that people don't always remember what you said, but they will always remember how you made them feel. Long after these new screens eventually wear out--and someday they will--I will always remember the kindness behind them. In a world where many businesses are measured by estimates, invoices, and profit margins, Murphy's Aluminum & Rescreens reminded us that the greatest companies are measured by something entirely different: Character. Anyone can install aluminum. Anyone can replace screens. Not everyone can restore hope. Joshua and Ruth Murphy, thank you for reminding Becky and me that God still sends people into our lives at exactly the right time. Your generosity turned an ordinary home repair into an extraordinary act of compassion that we will never forget. If you're looking for someone to build or repair your pool enclosure, lanai, screen room, pergola, soffit, fascia, railing, or virtually anything aluminum-related, don't just hire Murphy's Aluminum & Rescreens because they do excellent work. Hire them because they're excellent people. In today's world, that's becoming harder and harder to find.
