We hired Nick since he was responsive, reasonably priced and provided us with guidance on what would look best in our bathroom. We ended up being very surprised and disappointed that he was not involved in the work itself. Instead, a revolving door of his subcontractors and their assistants handled our project. Over the course of what was initially estimated to be a three to four-week remodel, we had a staggering seventeen different workers in our home during the nine weeks it took to complete. The installation of the toilet was a mess from start to finish. Poorly cleaned connections resulted in a leak due to an inadequate seal and no caulk or silicone was applied around the base of the toilet, exacerbating the issue. The vanity installation was equally problematic. The installer disregarded the layout provided by the cabinet maker, resulting in an asymmetrical installation that left one vanity three inches from the wall while the other was flush. The lack of caulking, failure to fill nail holes, missing quarter round, misaligned cabinets, and improper functioning of cabinet doors further highlighted the lack of attention to detail. The tile installation itself went smoothly and the workmanship was outstanding, but there were some issues with dried grout and haze on the tile. The installer tried to remedy it but we ended up hiring our own professional to deep clean it. The amount of workers in our home naturally led to a lack of communication among them. This is an area where we thought Nick could have played a more active role in coordinating the project. In addition, we were unclear of the experience level of some of the individuals as well as concerned about whether or not they had a background check. When we ran our own search online we did find an arrest record of one of the contractors for stolen property. The experience was incredibly stressful and riddled with problems, substandard workmanship, prolonged delays, and ongoing fixes. Fortunately after we fixed as many problems as we could, we ended up with a beautiful bathroom.

TL;DR: stop shopping around and go with Tarpon Marble. Our full experience: We have used Tarpon Marble on 2 projects and each time they have been absolutely great to work with. Our first project was a full kitchen reno that included all countertops and a "custom" backsplash we created from several different tiles. The countertops we selected from a slab we saw at the showroom, and by working with Nick and Victoria we added some design elements that were not in our current layout, and we were able to do the entire kitchen with only one seam (which they placed OFFSET from a corner - something most other places won't even bother to do). But the fact that they did an outstanding job isn't the only thing behind my positive review - they LITERALLY saved our project after Home Depot COMPLETELY let us down when it came to countertops - their vendor of choice here in Clearwater is an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE). We were so frustrated with Home Depot that we actually walked away from a deposit. And Tarpon Marble )who we had been "shopping" during the process) were able to not only give us a great price, but because we used what was in stock and did not have a complex layout they were able to MEASURE ON MONDAY AND DELIVER ON FRIDAY. I don't want to set the expectation that this is normal, but I cannot say how pleased we were when we got the call that our counters were on the way. The point of this review is not to bash Home Depot - but they also screwed up our cabinets - their "professional measure" SHORTED ONE SIDE OF OUR CABINETS by SIX INCHES which we did not become aware of until the cabinets were being installed and builder called me in to show me the 6" of exposed concrete - forcing me to spend several hundred dollars and the kludge in a couple of 6" spice cabinets on TOP and BOTTOM cabinets (you will see them in the pics). ABSOLUTELY do not get taken in by "bargain" pricing at Home Depot - it is not worth the frustration and delays you will surely have. The bathroom project was "only" tile - but it was ALL the tile for the shower and the floor. This time we didn't even shop - we knew what we wanted, knew that Tarpon Marble had competitive pricing, and knew that we would get exactly what we wanted. And again it was great to work with them. The tiles were chose for the bathroom backsplash and shower "trim out" were "complicated" - estimating the need was difficult, and one of the accent tiles we chose had a QC issue where the design was "lifting" off the backs of numerous tiles, and on top of the many of the tiles were chipped (glass accent tiles). Victoria worked with us and the manufacturer / supplier to not only get us additional boxes quickly so we could cover our project, but also to help us get a refund for an order that was non-refundable (but again - the tiles were "damaged" from the mfgr) I have a small project coming up for some tooling that requires marble surfaces - and I'm going to see Nick gain for sure.

I went with my boyfriend when he was shopping for countertops and ended up putting my kitchen together as he looked. I Showed Nick the items I picked out that included a backsplash, tile floor and countertop. Explained I have tile and replacing with this tile, have backsplash and want to replace, have granite and replacing with new. He jotted down notes and item numbers. Nick had an appointment in south Tampa the next week, so he was going to meet my boyfriend after that to look at his house and then they were going to look at my job. When I got home, I sent him some measurements to get an idea of pricing so I didn't waste his time if the price was too expensive for my impromptu kitchen renovation. It was decent price, so I told him I definitely want to move forward, I gave half the cost as a deposit, the following week he cancelled the appointment where he was going to stop by and measure. He said he couldn't make it that day wanted to reschedule. My boyfriend had already decided by the poor communication he was experiencing that he was going another route with his job. I had given a deposit so was going to see the project through to completion. A tech came out to measure countertop. I was dropping my high bar and wanted to add a few inches to the chair area, so chairs can tuck better, but explaining that to a tech who spoke no English was a great challenge. I used my best broken Spanish to explain and amazingly my countertop had no issue in the measurement. That is where the good part of review comes from. My countertops are beautiful. My only issue was a gap between the end board by dishwasher they didn't set that in place so we had to lift it and set it in place. I would have had them fix if I was there to notice but I had one appointment that day and wouldn't you know it, it is exactly the time they show up. So my son watched install and didn't notice. The other flaw from install is metal piece that holds dishwasher under counter pops out when dishwasher is opened. It is so annoying. I told Nick about it and he said he would call me back, but still waiting on that call. Let's move on to my floors which are the worst part of this review! I get a text that flooring guys are coming the following Monday, I assume they will evaluate job and confirm measurements, Keep in mind, Nick never came out to measure. He is working off a paper I texted with a diagram of my kitchen, bath and closet. Two guys show up, they were under impression it's 300 sq feet, and they were removing some tile and some carpet. I never mentioned anything about carpet. I don't have carpet anywhere. They said the job was to big for them, tried calling Nick, no answer. They did do their own measurements and it was pretty accurate but they explained they need waste for corners and cutting. Something Nick should have seen when he came out. They then said this quarter round can't be saved, and that is pretty reasonable expectation, wasn't the first time I have had floors done, so know they replaced it every time and that is reasonable. The installers also did not know what to do with my transition. They did not put anything to transition from my vinyl plank to the tile, there were pieces from before that they saved but the tile was higher, so it didn't go down. I said, I am willing to pay for it, but I need the job finished. He replied "I am not cheap business owner" I will talk to installers and see what you need and call you back". I am still waiting for call. In the meantime my boyfriends flooring project went down without a hitch, he asked those installers to come over and do my quarter round and transitions. I paid them a minimal charge to do so, they explained the job wasn't done properly. The reason the tile is so high at one translation is because they didn't remove all the mortar and had to put extra to even out the tile. Tile was a tad thicker so would have needed a different transition regardless. So it should have been figured into price. I would have paid it, but wanted a complete job as everyone does.

Super impressed with the whole process of having our counters installed. We stopped into the show room and was able to find a slab that we liked in no time. Was given a ruff estimate based on our drawings that we provided and they came out a few days later to measure everything. A few weeks later they installed everything including water fall edges and full backsplash with no seams! The installers were a Father and Son operation and were very nice and cleaned up everything. Overall a great experience and will recommend them to friends! Please excuse the mess we are still finishing up construction.

Fantastic experience from start to finish!!! Loved being able to walk-in and pick the exact granite we wanted (the slab, not a small sample). They came and measured 4 days later, and a week after that it was installed. The finished product is gorgeous and everyone we dealt with was super knowledgeable and also very nice. Top-notch customer experience

To follow up, I called Tarpon Marble to have the damaged pieces buffed and they sent a repairman two days later. Now my marble is beautiful. I recommend them highly for their follow up service and marble.

Terrible customer service, had my counter tops put in called Victoria the owner 3 times she was rude and unprofessional, I have multiple dark circles on my kitchen and bathroom granite the day of delivery, she doesn't care and was very rude 3 times I called , please don't buy there , they don't care but they take your money , I can't wash dishes or brush our teeth because if water goes on granite it turns black , need to call the better business bureau
