Pretty awesome spot! Can't believe it too me this long to try it. Parking is a bit tricky but worth it once you get inside. I went with the juicy BBQ brisket burger special featuring a tangy bbq sauce topped with extra crunchy onion rings. Soooo good and soooo big! And you know I had to pair it with my favorite beer Viva Brewery My son really enjoyed his Beer Battered Fish & Chips. This plate was huge so I helped him a little (as usual). We both loved the Fries! They are those crunchy kind we all love. My wife loved her 1/2 pound Cheddar Cheesy Burger! I didn't get a bite because it was that good. We both agreed that these burgers were super fresh with an elevated taste. Just what we wanted! I'll be back for the Ribeye Sandwich or the Roasted Lamb Sando. Both look amazing.

Michael was friendly & made great drinks! The atmosphere is perfect for a nice sunny day outside. There are plenty of tables & there was a fire burning that you could sit around. We'll be back!

If you're looking for good Fish & Chips n San Antonio, head over to La Tuna Grill in the Arts District. This LatinX Owned business is rated 4.5 Stars on Yelp. Shown here is their Fish & Chips plate with house-made Cole Slaw. The fish is meaty and firm cooked with a crispy batter which is not too greasy at all. Fries are also crispy with lite sprinkling of salt. Finally the Cole Slaw is freshly made with just a hint of Dill. The service here is friendly and quick. My meal arrived within five minutes of my order. There is seating both inside an air conditioned room, about 13 tables as well as seating outside under a covered patio. Give La Tuna Grill a try, it could be your new favorite place for Fish & Chips too. Eat in Good Health.

Fun night spot. Owners are super nice. The tickets were a bit disorganized as things were missing. They fixed all the orders. The bread pudding is heavy on the nutmeg. I can't with nutmeg, but if you're into nutmeg, this bread pudding is for you. My favorite thing was the salmon salad with the sweet onion dressing and the queso! I would come back for it.

This was a recommendation from a person in our group, and I'm so glad we came. Big portions, big smiles and an overall amazing spot! Let me start by saying their outdoor patio/seating area is massive just like their portions! I can definitely see this being a cool spot to spend warm Texas nights at. Since it was our first time, we asked for recommendations, and the first thing they said was getting a full order of the fried mushrooms. Great choice, highly recommend if you love all things friend and mushrooms, they did not disappoint. They had a special brisket burger, topped with onion rings bbq sauce and the fixings. I wasn't a huge fan as I didn't think the burger had that much flavor and I think with the onion rings I had hit my fried food limit. I did try my friends blacked chicken sandwich po boy, not gonna lie, that was the best tasting chicken I've had anywhere! I couldn't stop eating it, it was that good. Someone got the fish tacos and that was hella good too. Bummer I ordered the wrong thing, but everything else we had was off the hook. If you love supporting locally owned businesses, I'd recommend checking this place out. Everyone we interacted with was gracious and friendly!

The burger was amazing and I got a double meat, double cheese and added bacon burger with sautéed onions. The atmosphere was good. I really liked the vibe and music and background service was good to Food came out quick. My wife got the ceviche tostada and it was not the best on her side so we gave it a four star, but my burger was fire.

Really cool place near the river! Love outdoor seating area. As for the food, not so special. We got the nachos and wings. Wings were good but the nachos were so underwhelming. Kinda disappoint about the nachos cause it is pretty hard to mess up. The chips tasted like Walmart brand tortilla chips. There wasn't much cheese and chicken either. Also there was no sour cream haha

Finally got to visit the La Tuna Grill and Bar (both are separate owners and businesses). Food at the grill is hand selected and locally sourced by the owners. It's obvious they take much pride in their food because it tastes fantastic. My husband and I split the crispy chicken sandwich with fries and were beyond satisfied. They were kind enough to split our meal into two plates which was very kind of them. Service staff is great, friendly and knowledgeable. The bar side has a good selection of beers for a great price. Definitely give this place a try!

My Mama & I felt like exploring San Antonio's Southtown area and came across this hidden gem. We arrived around 1 PM for a late lunch. We noticed they closed at 2 PM for lunch and they were totally fine with us staying past 2 if we needed to. We ordered their most popular item the Blackened Fish Tacos $12.79 and Refried Bean Nachos $9.29. We said we would be sharing and they were so kind to split into two plates without us asking when served. Ummm the portions here are massive! Haha we left rolling out of there, but it was so yummy! I love a good cheesy and bean nachos. They may be the best nachos I have ever had at a restaurant actually! Fish Tacos were yummy as well! Afterwards we wanted to roam around the area for a drink and our server was super nice to recommend a few spots. She said you know what let me ask my Mom she knows all the spots. Turns out she is daughter to the owner. The owner is beyond sweet and was so nice to name a few places nearby. I would love to come back here to visit during the weekend!

Came in today for a cold drink and some appetizers. We have the chips and queso which were super tasty. We also ordered my favorite play the fried mushrooms with gravy and ranch dressing. The breading on these mushrooms is amazing. They always come out hot. Can't wait to come back!

This place is super cool in Southtown. The staff was friendly, tables are spaced out according so we felt super safe. I ordered the jalapeño poppers, loaded fries, fish tacos and grilled chicken salad. Let me just say the portions are perfect, they are not shistey with the portions. My tacos was full of fish and this green sauce on top was so good I would eat it out of a dumpster!

For a starter we shared the cornbread with another couple and it was plenty for 4 people. If you are from out of town and looking for some Texas-shaped vittles or just want something substantial to stretch your meal I recommend it! Very tasty and filling. For my main I had the scallops with creamed corn risotto. It was a dainty portion but the flavors were nice. My husband had the short rib tagliatelle which he loved. It was very rich and filling. We had the buttermilk pie again for dessert and this time it tasted sweeter than I remembered. It was good but we couldn't finish it. Idk if it was my tastebuds or if it was different. Checked Yelp for dinner suggestions so Doc drove us to the paid lot next to where all the Cinderella lit up carriages drawn by horses were lined up. It seemed the boats going up and down the River portion of the Walk were busier. While we were walking I had my eyes open for a table with a view. We stopped at Four Brothers. The receptionist went over suggestions on the menu on her outdoor podium. Cornbread in the shape of Texas, shareable items like Dino ribs for $82, plus Pork Shank and ice tea completed our order. Everyone was very friendly. We had an exceptional view and we had more than enough food that we had to ask for take out boxes. My favorite was the Mac & cheese though I'm usually not a fan. This dish used cork screw shaped pasta and it was moist and not stuck together. I had to share a photo of it with Sweetie who is in Tokyo right now. Doc liked the pimento for the cornbread. As it was almost 9 pm we decided to pass on the boat ride but just walk on the other side with shops and more eateries. We're back on the road again tomorrow to Arizona.

Boudros was highly recommended by friends, and was the first restaurant on our list to dine in during our recent visit. We arrived at the restaurant on a Thursday around 7:45 pm and were told by a young Hostess that no walk-ins were allowed until after 9 pm. We decided to modify our itinerary and instead had dinner at a different restaurant on the riverwalk, and made a reservation for Boudros online for the following evening. When we arrived the following evening for our reservation at 7.30 pm, we were escorted to a small table in the bar that was next to the entrance to a small room. The area was noisy with a lot of foot traffic. We asked for a table in a quieter room and were moved to a room in the back of the restaurant where it was easier to have a conversation. A few minutes later our waiter, Stephen, approached the table. We asked him for drink recommendations and among others he recommended the "Prickly Pear Margarita". I ordered the Prickly Pear Margarita, and we also ordered the tableside Guacamole. The restaurant was busy, but there were several empty tables in our dining area. After about 15 to 20 minutes, the waiter brought our drinks. The Prickly Pear Margarita I received was not even close to the description on the menu. The ice was melted and it tasted like Fruit Punch with alcohol in a martini glass. A few minutes later, Stephen approached our table with the Guacamole cart. There were pieces of onions and cilantro all over the dirty table cloth on the cart. He prepared the Guacamole in front of us and it looked very unappealing. We watched as he added an excessive amount of diced onions and cilantro. Being a connoisseur of Guacamole, and making my own for most of my life, it was obvious that Stephen had not been trained well in how to make Guacamole. After he mixed the sliced avocados, the diced onions and cilantro, he wiped the edge of the stone tray with a dirty cloth. The onions and cilantro over powered the taste of the avocado. Later that evening, Stephen brought a very fancy drink for a customer sitting next to us. The drink looked like frozen lime juice with line of frozen strawberry and a nice scoop of frozen lime juice on top. I asked Stephen for the name of that drink, and he replied that it was the same drink that I had ordered. I asked why it looked so different and he muttered something about it being the end of the batch and then said "I'm not the Bartender". He blamed the Bartender for making the terrible drink, and made no effort to correct the problem. Later Stephen returned with our dinner, and as he approached our table, he ordered my wife to "move your glass!" Needless to say she was quite taken aback at his abrupt manner with no please or thank-you. In all the staff did not have a very good demeanor and were very sullen and grumpy. Even asking for directions to the bathroom barely elicited a glance and the needed information. Maybe the staff was overworked because of the number of visitors for the Fiesta, but the terrible, over-priced food, did not make up for the unhappy staff, and we do not plan to return.
