Wonderful location. I would like to say a big Thank You to Katrina and her team at the San Elijo location. Her professionalism and kindness made my visit a 10. They made my experience for needing glasses for the first time easy, seamless and stress free. She gave me great tips on getting new glasses, what to expect, and assured me if I had any questions to give them a call. I would recommend Grand Vision to any family or friends needing a professional team to help make your eyesight 20/20. read more

Love the optometrist, Dr Lam, the ambiance and glasses selection. However, it is very difficult to make an appointment or get a person to answer the phone. Most of the time, you have to leave a message and they will eventually get back to you. For me, this is a problem because by the time they call me back, I don't have my full calendar or paperwork needed, thus highly inconvenient. read more

I've been going to the eye doctor since middle school for glasses and this place is by far the best office I've been to. Super lux office space. Super friendly and helpful staff. Super nice doctors. They honestly go above and beyond the call of duty here. This has been my place for a few years now and they have not disappointed. Last year they got me in last minute when my baby poked me in the eye and they saved me! (All good now btw lol) This last time when I went in for new frames and prescription the lady worked magic on my prescription sunglasses that I totally jacked up from like 2017. Like, they were completely smashed and she made them like new in 5 min for free (didn't even get them there). She also offered to clean and fix up my older pairs for free. So kind. They have a really wide range of frames to choose from too. Can't speak to their other location since I've only been to this one. But yeah. No complaints. read more

I had fairly new glasses about three months, dropped them and scratched them real bad. They took them replaced with new lenses at no cost.

All the maps states that they are open today. Get here, and they're closed. Bad business practice to not update things properly.

Been going here for eye exams and glasses for a couple years since they opened this location. Pretty convenient and quick with appointments for exams. read more

Great attention-to-detail care! Dr Wong was very kind, explaining things and teaching me about my eyecare. The sales associate was very patience and knowledgeable in helping me find a great pair of eyeglasses. read more

The doctor and the staff are so kind!! The interior is also like the nicest ever. You would not think you're going to the optometrist lol

The location in San Elijo Hills is top notch. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. and efficient. Dr. Lam, the optometrist was wonderful. as well. Thumbs up!!!! read more

I called Grand Vision Optometry to check on the status of my contact lens order placed about a week ago. I mentioned needing trial lenses in the meantime but was told they don't carry trials for prescriptions as high as mine. I disagreed, as I've never had an issue getting trials in my 15+ years as a patient. I then called the Los Posas location, and Jose was incredibly helpful--he answered all my questions thoroughly and went above and beyond to find a solution. Sometimes, you just need the right person. Great customer service from Jose, as always! read more

First time getting glasses but second time at an optometrist. Dr Lam is great, nice, and and takes her time. Ordered glasses waiting to get them in 2-3 weeks. Will update quality and how they fit. Came for the second time to look for glasses and Ashley* who sits at the front door is welcoming, pleasant and when she assisted me with my glasses she was very helpful and knowledgeable. This place not only has a good good assortment of frames but getting the attention to figure it all out is amazing and excellent customer service. The San Marcos location unfortunately not the same experience. read more

Friendly staff and very knowledgeable optometrist. Definitely recommend it. Would go back again.

Today, October 25, 2023 I went for my yearly exam at Grand Vision Optometry in San Elijo Hills, San Marcos. I saw Dr. Lam who was so friendly, knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. I've been seeing Dr. Fu for several years at their office in San Marcos by Nordstrom's Rack ( how convenient for me!). But when the San Elijo Hills office opened I went there since it's close to my home. I can tell you honestly that this practice is helpful, professional and caring. Their prices are lower than any place I've been to in the past and they deal with all that annoying insurance paperwork. And they know their stuff! They carry all levels of eyewear from inexpensive to the latest designer trends. And the office customer service clerks are patient and give honest feedback if you ask about eyewear selection. And they do not try to upsell you which I find refreshing. Good Optometrist are hard to find, so when I found Dr. Fu and now Dr. Lam, I was elated!!! I highly recommend either of these two super stars!!! read more

I needed immediate help with a vision issue and decided to call up Grand Vision for help. They were so easy to reach, staff was extremely friendly and helpful and they resolved my issue in no time. The office was extremely nice and in a great & convenient location. Definitely recommend! read more

Myself and both kids had regular and contact lens exams last summer with no issues. My husband had a contact lens exam a month ago and they refused to refill the contact lenses he's had for years encouraging him to try newer technology. He tried multiple brands and didn't like them and has had to call multiple times to try and get the rx for the lenses he likes and has used for years. The person who answers the phone continues to tell him they'll email it and he still does not have the RX in hand. It's been two weeks. read more

Sofia is amazing! Her cheerful personality and excellent customer service is the reason why I've gotten my glasses here 3 years now. Only this year, I was in shock when my prescription frames broke only a week after I picked them up, but Sofia reassured me that they would take care of me. I was able to get them fixed and now have no issues. Thank you Sofia - you're the best! read more

Have been coming here for years with excellent care and service. Something recently has changed for the worse. I've been trying to make an appointment for several weeks via their website, Yelp or by telephone without success. Calls are not returned...hoping they can turn things around before I go elsewhere. read more

It was a breeze to make an appointment! The staff and doctor were very easy to work with too. They spent time to sit down with us to go over insurance coverage which was super helpful. Everyone was very kind. I will be planning to continue to come here for eye checkups and glasses when I need it for now on read more

So it has been 5 years since I got my eyes checked and finally made it back to getting my exam. Just want to say how amazing the staff is here and how comfortable it was to get my eyes checked. From the moment I walked in and being greeted by AJ, I felt welcomed. So I started with Lupe who did my eye check up and helped me fill out some paperwork. She was so friendly and made the exam easy and quick. Dr. Lam was awesome, she took time to go over what she is going to check and answered any questions I had. She made the experience so easy and exam so smooth. But the best part of the day was the customer service and attentiveness that I received from AJ, who went above and beyond to get me fitted for my frames, contact lenses training and also explained to me what my insurance covered and gave me pricing. She is the best and made my eye exam experience a joy. I had so much fun trying on frames and AJ was so helpful in helping me pick. Also I had a pleasure in meeting Jessica who was a joy to talk to. I definitely recommend Grand Vision and so happy and satisfied with the service I receive every time I come here. Thank you so much, you guys are amazing. Thank You! Elaine read more

Super friendly staff and Doctor! Made us feel at home. Comfortable waiting area with water and coffee. Lots of cool toys for the little ones to keep them entertained. Came for an exam for my 6yo. And they were amazing with him! Thank you Grand Vision Optometry! read more

I recently relocated to the area and needed to find an optometrist. Grand Vision had great reviews and accepts my VSP insurance so I decided to give them a try. A great experience so far! The front desk staff and Dr. Lam were friendly, professional, efficient, and explained procedures and costs clearly. Daisy helped me choose two new frames (sunglasses and distance) and figure out the best combination of insurance and discounts to bring the cost down. She was patient and friendly. For reading glasses I opted to use my old frames and swap out the lenses rather than purchase new frames. The prices are what one would expect for the designer frame selection they offer. read more

The space is clean and welcoming. They have an upscale decor. They offer water and there is a TV with actual entertaining shows. Even if you have to wait a few minutes, you are comfortable. The most important piece is their costumer service. They go above and beyond. The staff take their time with you and help guide you in finding the best pair of eyeglasses for your face shape that are stylish. They constantly communicate how long it will be when you will be seeing the optometrist. When you get your glasses they put it in a cute gift bag with a case, glass cleaner and cloth. You just feel taken care of. The optometrist is warm and welcoming. He takes his time with you and is very diligent. They take eye insurance. I would highly recommend them. read more

I have gone twice so far since getting my insurance. I have bought two glasses already and I am satisfied. They are very friendly: From front desk to assistant and to doctor. I also took my 6 year old twin girls. The doctor was very patient and kind to my girls ;like a kindergarten teacher. :) read more

Awesome experience all around. The optometrist was kind, patient, and answered all of my questions. The girl who helped me with ordering my glasses thoroughly explained all of my options and helped me make the best decision for ME. I had my special needs son with me, so I truly appreciated all of the support for a smooth and relaxing experience. Thank you all! Can't wait for my glasses to arrive :) read more

Always get my glasses here and my family as well. Will return. I like the selection they have for glasses

Clean, professional & highly organized, I highly recommend Dr. Fu and her very competent crew for all your eye care needs.

I was so excited to see an optometrist open up in town. I had been driving quite a distance to see my former optometrist. The office is beautiful and the staff is very helpful. Dr. Asbareh is very friendly and pleasant and David was extremely helpful in finding glasses for both myself and my daughter. He was also very knowledgeable in the insurance coverage information. If you're looking for a local place to try out, this is it! It's a beautiful location with friendly staff and my daughter and I LOVE our new glasses!! read more

WOW! New business and I can tell they are here to stay! I hadn't been to an eye doctor in a long time and the equipment seemed top of the line. Prices were incredible and so many selections. The office itself was very inviting and beautiful. The owner must have taken a lot of time into the decorating. The employees were phenomenal, made me fee very comfortable. I decided to get a pair of glasses for in front of a computer /blue light. I'm very picky cause my face is rounder and it's hard to like a pair of glasses. David was so patient and really helped me pick out a great pair. I must have tried on at least 20 different pairs. After not finding the right fit but loving sunglasses, David suggested popping out the frames to a pair of sunglasses and use those frames! SUCH A GREAT IDEA FOR ME ! Bottom line- I could not be more happier with an eye doctor and the office. Everything from ambience to customer service is to the tee! read more

My wife and I had a great experience at Grand Vision Optometry. We walked in because we lived in the community and wanted to see how our eyes were doing. We were pleasantly greeted by everyone at the front desk and everyone that helped us was courteous and knowledgeable. The waiting area was comfortable and we loved having a Starbucks right next door. AJ was especially patient with our frame decisions as well as Dr. Lam with the prescription selection. Overall we have definitely found our Optometry office! read more

The team here was so in sync - so friendly, and very competent. Sofia is a very welcoming receptionist/admin - her customer service is top notch. The tech and Dr. Lam were thorough, listened to my particular requests and had good suggestions of things to try (specs vs lenses). They were very patient with me as I tried to and remember my vision history, as well as putting in my tester contact lenses. They accept my VSP insurance, and Sofia was very knowledgae with her explanation of what is covered and the final costs. Grand Vision Optometry - Optometrists Near Me - San Marcos, California

If you are looking for both a thorough routine eye exam and above and beyond service, Grand Vision Optometry is the place to be. I looked around different practices that accepted my VSP insurance and ended up booking an appointment here because of the positive reviews. They definitely live up to their reputation! I was seen by Dr. Fu and what stood out to me was she took her time do my examination and answered any questions I had. With a change in my prescription, I was met by Sirena afterwards who helped me pick out a new pair of glasses. She suggested a variety of styles that would suit my face shape. I also appreciated that she was honest to what pairs looked good and what did not. After narrowing it to a couple of glasses, she helpfully broke down the costs to see what would fit in my budget. I was able to choose a pair I genuinely liked and left happy! I am looking forward to my next appointment and continuing to be a patient with Grand Vision Optometry. read more
