Came here at 2PM after the lunch crowd and found the food to be still acceptable for a buffet in small town Texas. The food was fresh enough and tasty, and the selection was decent as was the price - $7.25 for Friday lunch.

Plate not left is food that didnt taste good.

I was on my way back to Dallas... seen a grand buffet which made me Happy because grand buffet in Dallas is GREAT!!! I am so disappointed. Food doesn't really have flavor. Shrimp tasted like it was frozen thawed n soaked n water over long periods of time. Uggghhhh.

Was this supposed to be on the menu? Dead roach in the women's restroom.

Got sick after eating here. Lots of options though. Not sure if illness and restaurant were related, but probably won't go back.

This is one of the worst Chinese buffet's I have been to. Food was luke warm at best and tasted like it had been cooked the day prior.

Great service and great food!…read more We were driving by and found this place through Google maps. I cross checked. It with Yelp and we decided to try it out. Everyone who helped us was kind and helpful. Our waiter brought us this cute loaf of bread with butter. The bread was soft and filling. We both ate from the buffet. The shrimp, fried chicken, and brisket were all good as were the sides like mac and cheese, beans, hush puppies, and corn. They also had a salad bar and drinks. There's also a few different pies to select from on a shelf. We tried the chocolate and coconut pies. Both were tasty with generous portions. We'll definitely come back if we're in the area.

First, the service was excellent, I believe our server was named Presley. Very kind, always checking on us and keeping our water and tea full. On the buffet, my dad enjoyed the salad he had, but was surprised at the little variety offered that day. He said last time he was there with my brother there was more to choose from. He then got the fried chicken, which was greasy and barely any chicken on the thigh. I tried to find a drumstick but it was just breasts, thighs and a few wings. He did like the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. As for the fried okra, you have to eat it fresh. It is sitting under a heat lamp just makes it soggy and slimy. I ordered 4 vegetables a la carte which came out to be as much as the all you can eat buffet. First, their onion rings are OUTSTANDING! So is their homemade ranch. What was disappointing was the green beans, they definitely came out of a can and were heated. At $3.99 I expected fresh. There may have been a small piece of onion in it. Not sure if that was how it was cooked or if it fell in from another dish. The black-eyed peas were tasty. I also had a cup of the chicken corn chowder which was good. However, there was pieces of cubed chicken in it which also made me think that it was a prepackaged soup and not homemade. My dad got the coconut cream pie, which tasted good, but could have used more coconut then just on the top. He wanted bread pudding or peach cobbler, however at the time of day we were there, they had been picked over way too much, not leaving much for anyone else to enjoy. I did like the selections in the gift shop and purchased a tea towel before we left. I always like to try a place 3 times so I may stop in and try something else. Again, great customer service.

The event was at Hidden Waters Chapel which is a really beautiful Tusean like setting in Waxahachie. This business quietly set up the meal buffet style on black table cloths so quietly, we didn't hear anything but we sure did smell it and it smelled so good! I'm a skeptic when it comes to "wedding" food so I'll start there. So here we go: Brisket: Literally could be eaten with a fork. Tender, not dry at all. I don't normally eat red meat but I couldn't help it. It was beckoning me from the plate. Pulled pork: One of my favs and this was no disappointment either. I know, I'm supposed to only get one meat but the pork was so moist. Then the owner explained which sauce (there were 2 kinds) went with each one and he was right on the money. Mashed potatoes: Perfect ratio of butter, salt and I think these were homemade mashed potatoes and not the boxed flakes. They were "comfort food" for sure. Bread: This was probably the "piece de resistance". I'm into ratio with everything so with bread, it can be too dry, too salty, too sweet, too floppy..,you get the idea. Oh my goodness. I knew I was in trouble. At first, it looked like a croissant, warm, slightly gooey in the middle, flaky and then when you bite into it, theres a slight sweetness about it. These are dangerous, in a good way. I stopped at 2. Pickles, Onions and other relishes: Delicious, fresh. As neatly, professional as they set up, they shut down and were gone. I happened to get their card and will definitely keep it for future events. His card says "On site, On time" Personally, I like that. His team was personable, neat, hair pulled back, efficient and the whole things was so well done. Well done!

The staff were super nice and always had a smile. And honestly, everything coming out of the kitchen looked incredible. I ordered the New York Strip with mac and cheese on the side. The steak was really good. It was tender, juicy, and had that nice grilled flavor on the outside while staying soft and moist inside. Every bite had a little char that made it even better. It didn't need a bunch of sauce or anything extra. Just good steak with good seasoning. The mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy and thick enough to coat the noodles. The creamy cheese worked really well with the steak, especially after a bite of that smoky, savory beef. Simple meal, but sometimes that's exactly what I want. A good steak, mac and cheese, and I'm happy.

We waited about 15-20 minutes for drinks. 40minutes for food, and we were asked about condiments from another waitress as we got our steaks, told her what we wanted. And pushed our food around for about 7 minutes so we asked another waitress to help with condiments and she was very hesitant like she didn't want to get in trouble , anyways we waited another 7 minutes, unfortunately steak was cold. So much waiting... We got in before a family of four and they got out before us.
