    Strawberry cake donut

I think this is my new go-to donut shop! The cake donut I had was perfect! Very soft and non-greasy. The icing was generous as well. What more could I ask for? It also only costs $1.29. Victory! Also, the drive-thru menu: it is incredibly detailed! I didn't have to ask about icing flavors. They were all listed for me to choose from. That's very unique from other donut shops. I absolutely will be back!

One of a few donut places we go to. Friendly staff and prices comparable to competitors. Today we scored some baked cinnamon rolls (vs fried). They are huge and not drowning in icing. Plain cake are one of the basics and those are good - not greasy. Yeast stand up to the toppings and have consistency.

This neighborhood breakfast spot has been a consistent weekend treat. Breakfast tacos, kolaches, donuts, iced coffee all delicious here. Staff always friendly and make a point to make you feel welcome. Highly recommend!

My husband, who is also the donut connoisseur of our castle has chosen Grand Donuts in Leander (the Ronald Reagan location) as our doughnut of choice!!! His dad used to always go out and get his mom donuts every Sunday so my hubby took up that tradition. Yes- donuts are his breakfast of choice.....and yes, it's been going on for years ....literally through thick and thin!! We've been patrons of this location ever since it opened. It's got great team members, excellent customer service and delicious products... Donuts and otherwise! !We've tried many many of their delicious offerings! The fritters are great, the cake donuts are superb and come in multiple flavors with multiple toppings. Of course there's the usual suspects breakfast tacos and kolache's (regular & jumbo size) they are made in all manners of breakfast food combinations. Then there's the fritters, eclairs, cinnamon twists, cinnamon rolls, and on and on and on. Check it out and I'm sure you'll see why it's our go to!

Love their donuts and their drive-thru makes getting donuts such a breeze. Friendly customer service too!

They started out as Super Donuts, but then changed the name to Grand Donuts, which both names certainly are applicable. This is a great place for donuts and kolaches. They offer a good variety of each along with other pastries, and beverages. The place is always clean, and the staff is always nice. My favorite is the spicy boudin kolache. It's a must try, and yes, it is Slap Yo Momma Good !!!

A little bit of everything. We might have gotten too much

Only been here a couple of times and only on the weekend for breakfast. Both the doughnuts and the kolaches have always been good and fresh. I do agree with fellow reviewers that the kolaches bag does seem butter soaked by the time we get home. They are close and convenient and hence our go to place for a doughnut fix.

I never knew you could eat a glazed fluffy cloud, but I just did! Seriously, I think I just ate the best glazed donut EVER. The donut was warm, soft, and glazed with a delightfully sweet glaze that made it the perfect donut. While there on this visit, my daughter had the pink donut with shaved coconut which she loved it. The hubs went with a maple glazed donut and was also impressed. This is a brand new donut shop in the new Cold Springs shopping center. The strip mall is only partially open at the moment, but it really is open! It's worth a drive out to grab some donuts if you are in the area! The shop also has a drive through window so you don't even have to get out of your car for your sugar fix. The menu is pretty big for a donut shop. I've only tried the donuts so far, but they also have breakfast tacos, kolaches, croissants, muffins, and cinnamon rolls. I can't wait to try the other stuff because they were all beautiful. I will probably quickly become the Duchess here because I'm already addicted. I better start putting more time in on the treadmill. :)

We love Grand Donuts, this location specifically. Best apple fitters, warm and crispy. We also really like their glazed old fashioned and any of their cake donuts. Breakfast sandwiches and breakfast tacos really good too; nicely filled with a good quantity of eggs. We have lived in this part of town for 4 years and this IS the donut shop to go to when you want good morning yums!

Too much butter on the Kolache.

The menu is very reasonably priced, which is a nice bonus these days. I ordered the biscuits and gravy ($6.99), and my son went with bacon and eggs, hashbrowns, and a biscuit. He felt his plate leaned a bit on the greasy side, and after trying his bacon, I'd agree it was slightly undercooked for my taste. That said, the biscuits and gravy were the star of the table. Absolutely delicious and something I'd come back for. The only small downside was that it felt a little chilly inside. Overall, friendly service, great prices, and a standout dish make this a solid spot worth

Glad it did. The menu isn't huge, but honestly that's usually a good sign -- focus on doing a smaller menu really well instead of serving 94 mediocre things and a sad waffle. I ordered the Bad Ass Bacon & Eggs plate. It came with thick-cut bacon, 2 eggs, hash brown casserole, wheat toast, and smoked salsa. Bacon - 9/10 This wasn't your average thin breakfast bacon. Thick-cut, almost pork belly style, with killer flavor and very meaty. Eggs - 9/10 Cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. Simple, but done right. Hash Brown Casserole - 8/10 Different than what I expected, but in a good way. Unique flavor and a great addition to the plate. Salsa - 7/10 Very homemade style salsa with a smoky flavor. Different, but really good. Atmosphere - 9/10 Loved the vibe. Cozy atmosphere, great music, and just an overall comfortable place to sit and enjoy breakfast. If this place was closer to home, I'd eat here often. Service - 10/10 Excellent service. Christy H. was friendly, attentive, and on point the whole time. Overall - 9/10 Definitely a must-try breakfast spot in Austin. They currently have four locations, and after eating here, it's easy to see why.

The good news is there are several places that have waitlists and there are even some places that take reservations so if you're planning includes a time that's likely to attract a lot of diners. I would suggest that would be the way to decide your destination. We did in fact, use the waitlist Sunday at Perky Beans. It allowed us to see how many parties were in front of us and advised that we would be texted when our table was ready. We waited about a half hour in our vehicle until we were texted and then headed in and we were seated immediately. Junny was our server. She seated us and gave us menus. I ordered a Hazelnut Coffee and a Virgin Mary(bloody Mary without the alcohol). My granddaughter ordered Water. We took a few minutes looking over the menus. There were quite a few options. Lots of tempting items, but it's hard for me to turn down biscuits and gravy since I love homemade biscuits and unfortunately mine don't turn out-2 eggs and home fried potatoes accompanied that. My granddaughter ordered the " sample the Eggs Benedict," which offered her the option of choosing two half Benedicts offered-which is a great way to determine your preference. She also opted for the home fried potatoes. Right about then Junny went and got my Virgin Mary, which they had really done up nicely! It was every bit as pretty as the alcoholic version with a nice crisp celery, stick, and a Gerkin pickle, Green olive and fresh Orange section. It was very tasty. We waited about 40 minutes for our food. It was very busy and I think it's difficult to manage the coffee side of the café along with the dining room side especially on a very busy Sunday. (That is why I deducted one star from our rating.) It did appear that they had adequate service staff, of course we couldn't observe the kitchen area so not sure how many cooks. We did enjoy the restaurant as a whole and we do plan to return to order some of the other delicious offerings on the menu. Fantastic to have a great brunch option right in Leander!!!

I'm kicking myself that I've missed out on the last 5 years! So obviously this is my first time in. I walked in, not knowing what to expect. A lady behind the bar made eye contact with me, greeted me & said sit wherever you want. A lot of tables were taken. There were a couple open, But I'm solo, so I sat up at the bar. Another lady came over and started chatting with me like we were old friends, which I love. God Bless Texas! She was telling me everything is good, you're not going to be disappointed. Burgers are fabulous. And so on. Once she said waffles, I was in! She wondered off cleaning and helping other patrons. I looked over the menu, saw chicken and waffles. I was sold! A young man came over and asked if I had a drink in mind. I said yes. Mexican Coke. Would you believe I've never had Mexican Coke before. It's true. This was my first, right here at Texas Toast Breakfast and Burgers. Memories being made. To be honest, I don't drink soda much at all. I also said I was ready with my food order too. Chicken and waffles. He said good choice, it's a big Texas shaped waffle (love it) with a big piece of fried chicken. He put my order in and gave me my Coke in a bottle. No fountain type drink. Felt like an 80's Coke commercial with a real glass bottle. Feeling fancy. Since I'm solo, I put my ear phones in and listened to my own music. A little Lenny Kravitz, American Women, if you're interested in what I was listening to. My plate came out, and Oh ! My ! Word !!! Chicken & waffle big as my plate. I nearly cried, gasped, unbelievable! Seriously, this was a solid breakfast, and now I'm really bummed I've missed out for 5 years! I joined the clean plate club even though I was completely stuffed. Chicken was tender, juicy, hot and fried perfectly. Light crispy, not greasy. So, so good. The waffle was light & fluffy, but once I smeared the butter on it and soaked it with syrup, I put the chicken back on top of the waffle and cut away at both. Solid breakfast. Completely epic. Enjoyed every bite. Was in my own little world with my music and good food and an amazing Mexican soda. The service, way top notch. I felt like family. The young man that took my order, Alvaro M, totally chill with me, we talked a little about ourselves. And that I never knew this was here even though I drive by on 620 for work. Truly, great service. As a solo diner, it's nice to have human contact. Even though I had my ear phones in 1 ear, so I could still hear and interact. Had the best service, food, interaction. Couldn't have asked for a better first impression. Can't wait to come back. Parking lot is pretty large. So you shouldn't have a problem finding a place. This seems like an off the beat residential neighborhood with a lot of RV parks, and boat launching area. Like I said, hidden gem!

I grew up eating (and later making) really good chicken fried steak. So I didn't come in casual. I came in ready to evaluate. First things first: this spot is tucked into a strip mall, and if you're not paying attention, you'll drive right past it. Keep your eyes open. Walking in, though? Completely different story. The vibe is laid-back, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. We were greeted right away and told to sit wherever we liked. Midday on a Wednesday meant it was nice and quiet; no wait, no chaos. Drinks were simple - Mexican Coke for me (always a win), fountain Pepsi for my lunchmate. (it's always nice when they have both options) We both ordered the chicken fried steak because of course we did. That's what brought us here. Sides: Me: green beans + mashed potatoes Them: salad + mashed potatoes Gravy situation: Me: classic Them: chorizo gravy Food came out quickly, which I always appreciate. Let's break it down honestly: The breading on the chicken fried steak? Perfection. Crispy, well done, exactly what you want. The meat itself? That's where things fell short. It needed more tenderizing--cutting into it took effort, and the texture leaned dense and chewy instead of that tender, fork-friendly bite you're hoping for. On top of that, it was missing seasoning, which made the whole thing feel a little flat despite that beautiful crust. The chorizo gravy (per my lunchmate)? Solid. Good flavor. But even that couldn't fully make up for the lack of seasoning in the meat. Sides were a mixed bag. Flavor was there--but mine had noticeable cold spots, like they'd been reheated unevenly. My lunchmate's sides were warm, but not quite hot. Now here's where they win big: The service. Top notch across the board. Everyone was kind, attentive, and welcoming without hovering. The owner even came by to chat for a bit - super friendly, clearly passionate, and we genuinely enjoyed the conversation and hearing about the food. That kind of hospitality goes a long way. Overall? I'd come back. But next time, I'm switching it up. The owner confidently recommended the waffles, and after that conversation, I'm willing to give them a shot. Because while the chicken fried steak didn't quite hit the mark for me this time, the people and the atmosphere? Absolutely worth another visit.
