After spotting this place right off Bagdad Road and reading through some Yelp Elite reviews, we decided to give it a try. We were greeted warmly and seated right away, which is always a great start. Our waitress was attentive and brought out waters quickly. The menu is very reasonably priced, which is a nice bonus these days. I ordered the biscuits and gravy ($6.99), and my son went with bacon and eggs, hashbrowns, and a biscuit. He felt his plate leaned a bit on the greasy side, and after trying his bacon, I'd agree it was slightly undercooked for my taste. That said, the biscuits and gravy were the star of the table. Absolutely delicious and something I'd come back for. The only small downside was that it felt a little chilly inside. Overall, friendly service, great prices, and a standout dish make this a solid spot worth

My friends and I have been coming to Nick's since it opens. The restaurant is very clean and it's not loud like many of the others in the area. There are soft booths and window shades that dampen the sound. Wait staff are super nice and the kitchen staff are quick getting your food made and out. I go to order is the #3 that comes with eggs, 4 pieces of bacon, potato pancakes served with sour cream and apple sauce, and toast. Nick's continues to be on "My Keepers List"

With 'breakfast' in a restaurant name one would expect a very good breakfast. That's what I got. I ordered the Breakfast Plate #2, which came with four pieces of well cooked thick sliced bacon. The eggs were cooked as I ordered and the toast was sourdough. While my hashbrowns were hot and crispy, the flavor seemed a bit flat. One of my dining companions loved the hash browns that came with his hamburger steak breakfast, so I'm guessing my taste buds may have been off. All in all, very good food. The service was prompt, our food came out hot, and we never had to ask for more coffee. I was expecting more of a diner, but the decor was typical small restaurant. When the food is good, who cares what a place looks like. I'll be returning and trying the hashbowns again.

Home away from home! Nicks has been a staple in our weekend routine since we moved to Leander last year. The servers are consistently sweet and accommodating, Nick the owner is always there to greet the guests and the food never disappoints. The food always needs a little salt and pepper for our liking but to me that's to accommodate anyone that comes in to dine. Our food always comes out quick and tastes fresh! We get plain coffee when we come and it never stops flowing the entire time we're eating. Skip the big chain breakfast spots and try nicks's!

Fast service. Local spot with a pretty good menu that has lunch specials and regular dishes to choose from. The food portion is good and generous! We like this good family owned place. Don't skip their onion rings!

Massive and generous portions! Quick service and attentive staff. Pancakes were soft and fluffy. They've got the BIGGEST onion rings know to man, I think. Corned beef hash was tasty (has diced green bell pepper in em) and it was tasty.

Food is excellent and SUBSTANTIAL! Service is relatively quick and VERY friendly. Ambiance- quiet and pleasant. We have this place as a to-go-place when we are unsure where to go for a nice lunch.

This is a wonderful café in Leander. I've enjoyed breakfasts and lunch here, both in restaurant and to-go. Biscuits and gravy come with a large serving of gravy (yay!). Eggs have been cooked just right, French toast cooked to perfection. The BLT has a generous serving of bacon and fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Finally, the baklava is delicious! Ten out of ten! Service here is terrific. Servers don't hover, but are always on top of your needs. One thing to note: the rewards program is tied to credit card payments. So if you use cash, your account won't get credited.

My mocha along with my breakfast cooked to perfection. I had already eaten the sausage link!

Lisa is a very sweet and professional server. I think she is a newer member of the team as I had not met her before yesterday. It was very good to see that many of the same servers are still there and have been from the beginning. I went at the perfect time in between breakfast and lunch. It happened to be very convenient as my doctor is in the same shopping center, and I had a fasting lab draw so came over for coffee and a late breakfast afterwards. Nick has good seating capacity, especially considering it is a breakfast and lunch restaurant. When he is not back in the kitchen Nick is out and about. I saw him talking with customers that were obviously routine, as well as checking on how customer meals were tasting to them. Up until 11 AM Nick has a $9.99 breakfast menu-kind of like an early bird special. Although I was only about three minutes away from 11 AM I requested to order off that menu and they were happy to accommodate. There are numerous choices and combinations that include just about everything on the regular breakfast menu perhaps in a bit of a smaller quantity. The breakfast I ordered was perfect for me. One egg over easy, one strip of bacon and one plump sausage, hashbrowns, and rye toast. To be quite honest, I could not even finish all of that! My breakfast arrived within minutes of ordering it. It was hot and fresh- I know from being a short order cook in my own home that if you're well organized, it's not difficult to get breakfast out fairly quickly. I also treated myself to a mocha extra hot. When it was delivered, Lisa advised if I needed a warm-up, she'd be happy to microwave it for me as sometimes their machine is just not as hot as customers want. I didn't find that necessary. I did feel that the mocha was not very sweet- I could've added sweetener or sugar along with additional creams that are always kept on the table. My hashbrowns were crispy and once I started eating them, it was hard to stop. My Overeasy Egg was done to perfection and generally, they do not salt and pepper as they allow you to do it at the table since it's such a preference thing among egg eaters. There's quite a mix of clientele, but it's quite evident that seniors love this place, including myself!! The link sausage was plump and juicy and quite delicious-a far cry from the links that are overdone and quite dry. The toast comes buttered, but you can always ask for more and they give you a couple of individual jellies. I always choose rye toast, but they have wheat and white available as well. I was not rushed at all and felt very comfortable, even though I was dining by myself. Lisa came by to check on me frequently enough to meet my needs. When she delivered the check, she told me there was no hurry whatsoever to take my time and that she would be my cashier. I found myself dining for about $20 including tax and tip. In today's economy, I feel like that's a steal!!!! Everyone there is so friendly, the food is great-- as is the atmosphere. They have specials every day and they always have new items listed on the whiteboard that's out by the door. I'll have to return and do a full review on lunch, but please be aware you can get either during their business hours, which end at 3 PM. Come on over to Leander and turn west on Crystal Falls Parkway (from 183 or 183A-Nick's Breakfast &Coffee will be on the right before you reach Bagdad Road.

We came to Nick's Breakfast and Coffee on a Sunday morning with our 4-month-old and luckily arrived just before the rush, so we didn't have to wait for a table. Our waitress (I didn't catch her name, but she had several piercings) was absolutely fabulous--attentive, friendly, and made the experience that much better. Full 5 stars for her! My husband ordered the Meat Lovers Skillet and enjoyed it. I had the Eggs Benedict with a side of biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy were good, but unfortunately the Eggs Benedict missed the mark. The hollandaise sauce had no flavor at all--it tasted like it hadn't been seasoned, and I'm not sure if it wasn't made from scratch or just prepared without salt. Everything else, though, was solid and enjoyable. Overall, it was a pleasant breakfast spot with great service.

First, I always appreciate the option for outdoor seating, which this place has. I appreciate that you can order breakfast while they are open. I am a breakfast all day kinda gal. Haha. The place is fairly cute and has plenty of seating. I ordered the country skillet and enjoyed it once it cooled down, it was very hot. The eggs were cooked perfectly, exactly as I wanted them cooked. The prices are decent. They have both Vanilla and Hazelnut flavored creamers here, which is another big win here. The server we had was friendly.

Alright, I can't deny, I woke up this morning thinking of breakfast here at Nicks. I absolutely love their value breakfast menu for $9.49. Today I enjoyed 1 egg, 2 hotcakes, 1 bacon and one of their delicious breakfast sausage. Service is always top notch, clean tables and endless coffee. The owner, Nick himself came by to great us and bless us. Can't understand why I love to review this place. Michael C. - Georgetown, Tx.

Back then, my husband was not happy, you could not order coffee at the table, you had to go to the other side and get coffee and then bring to to the table if you wanted breakfast. Well, a LOT has changed with this place since then. #1...they will bring you what ever coffee you want to order, and they will pick up from next door and bring it to you (husband was happy about that). #2, they now serve lunch and dinner (*we didn't try that yet, but will be back to try that later). Now, Rebecca our server was so nice! She put up with my husband's "shanigans", as he always tries to joke about with everyone! He was hungry, so got the "Big Ol' Breakfast", which had your eggs, half a ham steak, sausage, bacon (Oh, sooo good) breakfast potatoes (could have been just a little more "crisped up), and pancakes!! He cleaned his plate!! LOL! I had (and did not realize until I read my last review, I had "half" of same I ordered before), the Benedict Sampler (where you can choose TWO of benedicts). I got the "Southwest Steak" (*which is what I had last time..LOL), ohhh soo good! If you like "Spicy"...get this...the green chiles and cilantro-lime sauce make this dish! Then, the other one was the "Golden State" with tomato, bacon and avocado (*and little spice too with Siracha sauce on top), and also had the very good breakfast potatoes! Rebecca checked on us often, and we were both glad we came back to this place! We will be back again!

Brunch on a weekend around here isn't that easy to obtain. It seems the blooming population has…read moreoverloaded the volume of brunch capability. The good news is there are several places that have waitlists and there are even some places that take reservations so if you're planning includes a time that's likely to attract a lot of diners. I would suggest that would be the way to decide your destination. We did in fact, use the waitlist Sunday at Perky Beans. It allowed us to see how many parties were in front of us and advised that we would be texted when our table was ready. We waited about a half hour in our vehicle until we were texted and then headed in and we were seated immediately. Junny was our server. She seated us and gave us menus. I ordered a Hazelnut Coffee and a Virgin Mary(bloody Mary without the alcohol). My granddaughter ordered Water. We took a few minutes looking over the menus. There were quite a few options. Lots of tempting items, but it's hard for me to turn down biscuits and gravy since I love homemade biscuits and unfortunately mine don't turn out-2 eggs and home fried potatoes accompanied that. My granddaughter ordered the " sample the Eggs Benedict," which offered her the option of choosing two half Benedicts offered-which is a great way to determine your preference. She also opted for the home fried potatoes. Right about then Junny went and got my Virgin Mary, which they had really done up nicely! It was every bit as pretty as the alcoholic version with a nice crisp celery, stick, and a Gerkin pickle, Green olive and fresh Orange section. It was very tasty. We waited about 40 minutes for our food. It was very busy and I think it's difficult to manage the coffee side of the café along with the dining room side especially on a very busy Sunday. (That is why I deducted one star from our rating.) It did appear that they had adequate service staff, of course we couldn't observe the kitchen area so not sure how many cooks. We did enjoy the restaurant as a whole and we do plan to return to order some of the other delicious offerings on the menu. Fantastic to have a great brunch option right in Leander!!!
